Huh. A free-to-play game with beloved characters and a battle pass that can be purchased with in-game currency and whose final reward can be earned multiple times? I hope it does extremely well and not infuriate its playerbase.
They seemed to listen and back when I played I don't think I had issues with the lack of players, players just weren't happy. That being said, they understand and they decided to work on it. The type of company to take it to the face, listen to the players, and give it another shot is my type of company. I hope they do well as well.

what about free battlepasses equals cash grabby? I do remember their skins being somewhat expensive.. but thats expected for a free to play game. They got bills too!
@@austink2598 only beta players get free battle passes and I meant cash grabby as in only adding skins to the game and not focusing on gameplay and bugs like how games like call of duty are super buggy and instead choose to add skins and micro transactions
@@Grif_17 There is a difference between trying to make money longterm, by keeping a consistant playerbase happy over the years that makes them want to spend money occasionally. And a game that makes them feel FORCED to do so, which is a death sentence for games because it drives the players away out of frustration.
The live service games that succeded long term, have always treated the playerbase nicely, instead of like cattle.

Yessir! Legit the only reason I was playing Speedstorm: waiting for Multiversus to come back! And PFG sweetens the deal by giving returning players free battle-pass. That's so stellar.
Would love to see the powerpuff girls and Darkseid make it in. Would be hilarious to see their interactions with each other
This is so excited, i really happy about all these new content on the game, i see some previews that show some unique minigames included in single player mode, this time i hope everything goes right for Multiversus✌🏽
Yea, I'm glad they are trying to listen to the players. That's always step one for a game to succeed imo, do you listen? I honestly enjoyed the last one too (before the shutdown), so I know this one is going to go ham.

I haven't seen anything about it, but I'm sure there will be something like that. I feel it'd be a missed opportunity if not, many players would probably rather have them all outright.
To me, Multiversus has so much potential for characters, and based on the new characters, they are doing so good

Not sure, things most likely always change from beta.

If you're a beta player you keep some stuff. I don't think it's confirmed if you're keeping anything from before shutdown.
Seems they are marketing this as a "new" game so if I had to guess, no. We won't know for sure, but in my experience that doesn't happen.
(I do think they said currency will stay though)
They've confirmed every item you unlocked in the open beta carries over on the FAQ on the website
He was asking about the first version of the game I believe, not the beta. Also, they do plan to reset progress on players to keep things fair (like perks and stuff). I didn't speak on it in the video though.

What I want to know is, am I gonna keep my Glemium I had during the Beta? Because I had like over 2k Glemium. Please someone confirm this for me! I'm going to be so devastated if I lose all that Glemium.

Hard to say, but I'm pretty sure each character will have a few. Based on their trailers, they had the voice actors come and say things specific to the trailer. So I'm pretty sure they will, especially because they @'d them and thanked them on twitter.

The people who desperately want this game to fail are die-hard Smash Bros fans. They pretty much hate every platform fighter. They're rampant with their hate for this game on Twitter/X. I think I've said this before, but Nintendo fans are very toxic. They really can't fathom why someone would like MultiVersus, Disney Speedstorm, Foamstars, and Palworld. Any time Nintendo posts a trailer to a new season for Disney Speedstorm, the Mario Kart fandom is always under the comment sections bashing the game for just existing. Something I don't get about the gaming community is that they'll tweet or make youtube videos about how "gaming is dying," but they're the same ones who aren't interested in new games that come out. They just stick to what's mainstream. GTA, Fortnite, NBA2K, Mario, Sonic, Pokemon, Fall Guys, Among Us, Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, Minecraft, Roblox, and others. It just reminds me of the people who complain about sequels and reboots and how hollywood is "running out of ideas," but they're ignoring original shows or movies. Make it make sense lol.

Hard question to ask, I'm sure they are working on it. Usually things like that are on the back burner though.

Mainly they are there because free to play or live service games need a consistent way to fund their game.
People need to be paid and servers need to be purchased. This is a way the developers and the players can have a mutual agreement that generates consistent income.
If a game is one time purchased, it won't need any additional funding. This is why you buy the game/dlc and you're done.
However, games that plan to last years need to keep providing content to their players. They won't be able to do it for free.

That's an option, but it doesn't mean people will buy (especially if it's stagnant). It's like going to the mall, if the shop sells the same thing repeatedly with no spice, people will stop caring and you'll see a loss of revenue.
Battle passes are the spice that malls/shops do. Sales, new items, new product lines, new etc. However, they understood your point and that's why they allow you to have a one-time purchase and continue to buy other passes for free.
I think a one-time purchase of a pass to have all future passes for free isn't too much to ask. 👀
I'm biased though, I like battle passes for a lot of games. Provided exclusive things and it's just a fun way to support the company. I see your point though for sure.

The reason why I quit playing was the higher you got in matchmaking the more degenerate the gameplay became. Busted moves and characters being used over and over (Superman) and players moving at lightning speed dashing all over the place. It just became too chaotic and tryhard after a while.
What I've seen so far is that the gameplay looks a bit more calculated and slowed down so I'm hopeful. I don't want to win every game, I just don't want to get wrecked 10 matches in a row.
Yea, I noticed that was one of the top complaints from players. Pair that with moves not registering properly it was a nightmare they say. I agree with you, it does seem a lot more slowed down, but it still emphasizes on improvement and showing your personal moves.
To me seems a bit like brawlhalla. Not too difficult, but also a whole different game once you can start mastering the mechanics. I'm with you, I don't mind losing, but I want to know why and how to get around it next game.

I don't mind games having a skill gap where higher ranked players have better execution or mechanics, but at least I want to see and know what they're doing so I can improve (even if it's just a little). We'll see how it turns out, it's all gonna depend on how the devs move forward here on out.
The higher you get in any game they will begin to follow meta characters and play better. If anything it should make it easier since skilled players don't play unpredictably, at least compared to low ranks where players will mash and do wildly unsafe surprising things
Tbf platform fighters by nature are pretty chaotic

It will fail because they still haven’t added a free for all mode. I don’t know anyone who’s gonna want to just keep playing teams. It’s really baffling knowing how they still haven’t though of this yet. 👀

It never really failed the first time, people were just incredibly dramatic about it and turned on the game when the whole "Multiversus is dead" thong came up, tbh I think the same thing will happen but I don't really care because it's still one of my favorite games.
I was saying a similar thing in a comment below. I was saying I never ran into a "dead" game, but it did fail which is why it got shut down. However, I'm glad to see it back and the devs taking care of the game so far. I enjoyed the game in the past too, so it must be even better now. Nowhere to go but up!

Excuse me wtf? First of all, that wasn't a release, that was them moving from early access to an open beta. Second, they quite literally BROKE and set new records for active online players and game downloads. The game never died, the beta closed. Their goal wasn't to keep that active player base, it was to gather information and introduce people to the design and concept. They not only achieved this, they went beyond that and took what the players had to say into consideration and made improvements based off that and their own experience. Do some basic research, this is embarrassing.

The battle pass is literally Overwatch2 before season 9. Absolute dog💩 and there will 100% be OP released characters, and will FINALLY be nerfed far later in the season

Yea I read some reviews and saw some people saying if you're new you're at a major disadvantage unless you pay.
Those who played for a while had a different experience due to them playing for a long time getting the free stuff in the process.
