Thank you for your video. I like the S5 and A5 bike designs, I only wish that they had a simple Gates Belt drive System instead of the over complicated mass produced gearbox chain drive systems.
I have an S2, which I like a lot, and my experience with Vanmoof support here in Seattle has been positive, and I am thinking of upgrading to an S5. Waiting for some hands-on reviews and for a test drive before clicking “buy.”
I was thinking to go with the new version of VanMoof, but after some research I went for a Gocycle ebike. It seems more superior in multiple aspects to me.
Bikes without integrated lights should be banned from public sales. VanMoof & some other companies are doing a great job & making the bike stylish as well
I chose not to buy a Vanmoof and to buy a more expensive Riese and Müller eBike instead. Initially I was very tempted by the marketing from Vanmoof but their customer support when you have and issue seem like it could be significantly improved.
Yeah I've read the same stories. Personally my experience with support is pretty good. Quick response and helpful people. But I must say I never had a big problem with the bike. I have several colleagues with a VanMoof and I know one of them had to contact support for a new e shifter. That's all. The community is big and only problems are posted. I think VanMoof wasn't the most reliable ebike in the beginning, but Today the quality of the ebike and the support are both good. And the VanMoof design, price and tech are 👌👌👌. A Riese and Müller is of course also a fine e-bike! Have fun with it!
@@vanmooftips2787 I’ve a friend who’s Vanmoof has to go back to the mainland Europe to be fixed and he has to pay the shipping costs which are significant. Not impressed.
@@myopenmind527 Sorry to hear that. Because I've been reading a lot of positive experiences on Socials lately, I'm convinced that it's bad luck. But I do find it very strange that shipping costs aren't refunded. With other brands in a similar price range you also see that many problems are posted, just look at Cowboy or Veloretti.
To answer the question: No, I wouldn't buy a Van Vanmoof. But that is me, others might benefit, but my experience with Vanmoof doesn't warrant the trust you have. What could go wrong went wrong, transmission, shifting, locking and most of the electronics. Then there is this chappy paint job. The rest was OK.

I’d love to get the S5, but I’m in the market for a new bike RIGHT NOW, not in half a year, so I’ll have to go with the S3.

(US stand)

What version did you buy and when? Perhaps an first edition?

discount code dont work
It does work, just test it. Discount only works on accessories or Peace of Mind with a new bike. And maybe only in Europe?
