If your car is being worked on for 2 weeks, that's half price... Why do people always exaggerate!

@@peteandalie It's often mentioned when they show a car being fixed, makes the normal mechanic sound useless
@@TorAndreBrresen "normal" mechanic. The mechanics on a rally team are just has the ones that you see on a garage. A mechanic in a garage doesn't work 8 hours in the same car.
@@hugocorreia7519 Sometimes we do that but what's that got to do with it? I'm just saying that when they say that a gearbox changes takes days in a garage they are wrong as it usually a couple of hours. (You might pay for more hours...)
People being cool and chill until a car comes with missing wheel and body parts... then utter chaos starts
You seen the citreon I think it was that was missing/really damaged most of its rear left suspension and 30 minutes later it's good as new?

I love how this is a WRC rally team, and they use Clark tools 😂. Shows you how good some of the cheaper stuff is

1. Those who have Gasoline pumping with their blood
2. Those Who have Oil pumping with their blood..
Means Driving Type and Mechanic Type.
Well in that case I have gasoline pumping in my blood but at the same time I also have oil pumping in my blood. When you're gokarting like me you have to be both of them 😂

Ugh, this is literally my dream job. Wonder where these guys even start/if any teams offer apprenticeships for stuff like this?
check M-Sport's website. They have job opportunities in various positions (not limited to their rally team)
You need an engineering degree to work with a WRC team...and even then, you need to know someone in the shop already who really likes and trusts you.
I would absolutely kill to have a little drive of the wrc fiesta.

The only thing that is really impressive is that they are able to find their tools and quickly and keep organized , which is super hard when working in an environment like this.

So they were made by AC Delco? Slowed down the playback and saw SWP but never heard of them. I spot a Beta torque wrench too.

3:11 what exactly are you using to clean the brakes? Anything special or just good old soapy water/generic brake parts cleaner?
Just brake cleaner. I roll up a small piece of paper and stick it in the bleeding screw. Repeat the process till there is no more brakefluid and than use brake cleaner to clean any brake fluid around the screw

not using torque wrench is a joke when beeing a motorsport engineering . i am speaking from my experience as a motorsport engineer and a mechanical engineer

Nice idea but I'd expect something more special instead of stabi, brakefluid and wheels. Maybe next time.
P.s.: because of end: "if you can't fix it with ducktape it's not broken"
Doesnt he risk damaging the hub bolts by installing the screws immediately with the pneumatic wrench instead of catching the thread with the screw using his hand only at first?
I belive the pneumatic wrench is already set for that torque.
Normally the end of the hub bolts have no thread so the nut cas sit straight on the bolt. With some focus while screwing the nuts on, it's almost not possible to damage the thread.

Thise tiny impacts are able to remove lug nuts on the car blows my Mind here they would never be able to get one lug off

Wow the time it takes for one lug nut to come out is all it takes for an F1 car to have a full tire set swap twice.
I love the variety in motorsports. Everything has its own methodology
If all technicians are paid properly for their techniques, there won't be crappy mechanics everywhere.
