Hopefully just 2 (or 2.5 ) comments this time:
1) I wish I had a recording or could fully explain what happened the first time I "watched" this video.
SOMETHING like this: I got a notification of the video, but I was in the middle of some work. I clicked on it to listen to the Audio, figuring I'd watch the actual VIDEO later. My phone apparently was having a problem, and the sound that I could hear was very much like just an 8-bit arcade game. I thought, "Oh, well, that's odd. Did Katja just play the simplest version of the theme and leave it at that? Interesting. A little hard to believe. Did I click on the wrong thing?" And then, before I could check my phone, the sound stopped. And THEN this whole melodic amazing torrent of Deep and complex Chords started up, and I thought my phone had just jumped to another piece entirely. And I literally said aloud, "JESUS GOD! I don't know what piece of music this is, but it is STUNNING! I thought I had heard all (or at least most) of Katja's videos. How did I miss THIS?! This is awesome!"
It turns out that the "Awesome Holy Jesus!" moment was still the Robocop Theme... about 23 seconds in where it becomes TRULY AMAZING! Don't ask me WHAT my phone was doing BEFORE that. (I know the intro is Simple, but my phone was making it WAY simpler. Maybe a memory issue.)
... ... ... Okay, in SHORT: I was really Freakin' MOVED! Awesome arrangement, awesomely performed by an awesome musician!

RoboCop has been one of my favorite movies since I saw it for the first time at the age of 12, seen it now over 20 times! 👌🏻

Katja, this was certainly an interesting surprise, and one that I am grateful for. I love that you have been covering so many songs from the 80s, the best decade ever. It's amazing to me how you are able to take such huge orchestral songs and condense them down so beautifully to a single instrument, and yet continue to carry the same weight and emotion of the original. You are truly gifted. I love the martial cadence and sense of purpose that this piece carries with it. Robocop wouldn't be who he is without the soul of the man that powers him, and Murphy was the best candidate. If it had been anyone else, that sense of justice and integrity would not be the same. I actually didn't watch the movie until I was much older, as so many action films from the time have so much violence, and this one is no exception. I won't watch the remake because I know it can't come near the level and feel of the original, unlike your cover which, as I said earlier, captures the essence and magnifies it sublimely. Your songs are nothing less than incredible, just like you. Thank you for renewing another classic from better times and sharing your special gifts with us. @@KatjaSavia I love ED-209! I have always been fascinated by robots and battle mechs! I think that without the soul, as Robocop had, that despite his physical advantages, he will always be less than his potential. That is one of the important lessons from the movie, that over reliance on technology without the human element will always lead to destruction. You are so amazing! 👮♀💜💀

A beautiful interpretation of this glorious theme ! I have played - my own version of - this countless times on my keyboard but not nearly as intricate or complex as this . I've never been able to nail those high notes at the very beginning for some reason . I've also struggled with that "rising" section at 0:34 . Am i correct in thinking there's quite a few suspended chords used in this theme - the original and your version ? It really does work well on piano ....would love to hear an organ rendition !
Thank you! Yes, those sections you mentioned are challenging and need a lot of work. Awesome that you have been playing this theme as well! Piano is an amazing instrument since it can mimic other instruments so well. There are some suspended chords, yes. 🤖💙

I've always found a "companion piece" to this theme is Poledouris' Klendaathu Drop cue from Starship Troopers : although it sounds distinctly different from the Robocop theme it does seem to utilise the same chords / sequencing . You could do a great job with that too ...if you haven't already 🙂👍@@KatjaSavia

Great version of one of my favorite movie themes 😍 Funny fact (that many might already know): original Robocop trailer had Terminator's music in it instead of this. The actual theme wasn't ready at the time I guess. 😎
Hmm, I'm guessing the Terminator track was used as a "temp score/track". Both tracks have similarities but RoboCop is more colorful and melodic. Thank you so much 🤖❤

Ok I listened to all of the different piano styles done of the song on RUclips and yours is absolutely the best. The others are too robotic, too fast, but yours has the feeling of the emotion that carries through regarding what that movie is about. The pain the loss and resurrection. The way you hit the notes is absolutely on point. Bravo! I felt that peace 👏
