Would confirming it all dissuade them or give them cause to believe even harder? It might make them even more reckless and possibly less effective, but I question if it would break their spirit.
@@Solkard that's a hard question to answer. I guess it all really depends on the Big E handles them, really. The best case scenario would be that the Emperor would keep them on as a fighting force for a while yet, then once a certain goal has been met, he'd probably authorize them to finally start the process of healing their broken home world. I don't think it would break them at all, but vindicate their beliefs. Now whether or not this would dampen their fighting ability, is completely speculative. But I would think it would make them better, for now they have a reason to live. Not a reason to die. But then again, this is the best case scenario.

At 5:30 am on a Sunday morning, I shot upright in my bed; suddenly awake, alert, and excited like an 40k inquistor after catching a whiff of heresy... All because my 'Baldermort posted a new video' sense was tingling.
After binge-watching a lot of your videos, you became my favorite Warhammer 40k lore keeper, I think what is most striking in your voice that is kind of haunting to me is how sad you sound when you describe most human lore as a terrible loss, the conviction of their need of sacrifice, of just giving a little more, fighting a little harder legit breaks my heart, I think this other side of the coin of the sheer greatness of the conflicts is a "nice" contrast that makes Warhammer loved. Thanks for guiding me through this.
Hearing all my favorite 40k creators in one spot has made my whole year. Thank you so much for this wonderful gift. The Emperor truly blesses us this day.

The war raged on for another five hundred years, but at last the victors emerged.’ ‘The Death Korps,’ said Mannheim. ‘They were forged in that nuclear fire.’ ‘Have you ever seen Krieg yourself?’ ‘Just once,’ said Costellin. ‘I set foot on its surface just once - and I wish to the God-Emperor I hadn’t.’ - Commissars Costellin and Mannheim.

"I forgive u" made me cry...
Shit I think the God Emperor would tell them that the moment he read their service.
Could you imagine that 5 centuries of betrayal, that generations of your forbearer's toil and suffering wasn't in vain? That it meant something, ANYTHING. That the oath was kept? I too, would weep
@@johnmcnally2852 I wonder if hearing that would break them or drive them to even more intense zealotry.
They’ve been fighting on desperation and blind faith.
No freaking wonder we were delayed the grim-dark glory of KRIEG! Putting that many edge lords and normies into one collab was a feat even the God Emperor would appreciate!

@David McConville I mean there is major kill, so you may not be far off
Considering Krieg didn't end up getting exterminatus'd by some overzealous Inquisitor/Commander, by 40k standards it's a relatively happy ending
Then again, their loyalists were so pissed off they said "fuck it, I'll exterminatus myself".
Krieg wasn't important enough to exterminatius.
@@CHRF-55457 Pretty sure being on an unimportant planet is far worse for your exterminatus chances

This just proves 1 krieg is worth a couple of regular guardsman
Plus it's 3AM where I'm at.
Pffffffft a couple?
I'd love to see the death Corp interacting with other iconic guards, the catachan, the cadians and the like.
Also I love the "league of lore" you've created
This is by far the greatest crossover in 40k history.
At 5:30 am on a Sunday morning, I shot upright in my bed; suddenly awake, alert, and excited like an 40k inquistor after catching a whiff of heresy... All because my 'Baldermort posted a new video' sense was tingling.
Why do I feel the same way but I already got the video playing and a dead world behind my ship

"League of Lore"?
You have mistakenly spelled the *"Great (Lore) Crusade",* my friend.
Congratulations for the 40K subscribers!
That's when Baldi manages to get every Lore channel to do a massive episodic lore series.
So your telling me the great *lore* crusade will end up by the fall of alfabusa (or anyone really) and begin the Horus *lore* Heresy?
@@guardianofthetoasters2323 what would be more interesting than the 'heresy' of doing a complete 180 on your interpretation of the entire universe.

As always, a wonderful and inspiring tale to be added to the great librarium. I thank you. As for the ending, absolute chills. Nothing could ever break the Death Korps fighting spirit except for three words... "I forgive you..." Im afraid those words would make a Krieger cry and then fight all the harder.
