In addition to your CDL you also need a tanker endorsement and a haz-mat. Folks usually call that an endorsement, it's more accurately a type of security clearance. It also has to be renewed every five years.
fuels is the most dangerous commodity a driver can transport in everyday commerce, worse than explosives. A good training program is key to a successful career in this field.

@@imanthonytv I wasn't bothered. I thought commenting was ok on your channel? I live in CA, and there are a ton of female professional truck drivers. I wasn't aware that being a CDL driver was such a leap for females. Should I start a youtube channel about becoming a kindergarten teacher and tell males not to be afraid about becoming a kindergarten teacher and take that leap? No because that is ridiculous, I just think it's 2024, not the 1950s. And being a female professional truck driver isn't surprising anymore. Thanks for the reply, maybe I misunderstood you. @jyc215 Teaching is a ridiculous comparison to trucking. Trucking is obviously a male dominated industry so to see more ladies becoming truck drivers is great to see in my opinion. How many female fuel haulers do you see on the road? My guess is not many. That in itself could inspire more women to consider doing that particular job. That’s exactly why I wanted to emphasize the fact that she’s a female.
