      @@ottohumpmachine8958 is it an easier transition? Fuel hauling was the only driving I did so I have nothing else to compare it to. It wasn’t hard at all outside of the elements. It took some getting used to like any new job. But once you get into a rhythm, it’s a super sweet job.

Plus we were paid by the load, Then went to Hourly. It was good for awhile, but they started cutting pay. One of the reasons why i left. It was a great experience, that i may go back to first of the year.

    In addition to your CDL you also need a tanker endorsement and a haz-mat. Folks usually call that an endorsement, it's more accurately a type of security clearance. It also has to be renewed every five years.
    fuels is the most dangerous commodity a driver can transport in everyday commerce, worse than explosives. A good training program is key to a successful career in this field.

      I want the ladies who maybe curious about getting into trucking or the fuel hauling industry in particular to know that they can do it. This might inspire them to take the leap. • @jyc215
      @jyc215 7 месяцев назад

      @@imanthonytv I wasn't bothered. I thought commenting was ok on your channel? I live in CA, and there are a ton of female professional truck drivers. I wasn't aware that being a CDL driver was such a leap for females. Should I start a youtube channel about becoming a kindergarten teacher and tell males not to be afraid about becoming a kindergarten teacher and take that leap? No because that is ridiculous, I just think it's 2024, not the 1950s. And being a female professional truck driver isn't surprising anymore. Thanks for the reply, maybe I misunderstood you. Love the videos.

    • @imanthonytv
      @imanthonytv  7 месяцев назад

      @jyc215 Teaching is a ridiculous comparison to trucking. Trucking is obviously a male dominated industry so to see more ladies becoming truck drivers is great to see in my opinion. How many female fuel haulers do you see on the road? My guess is not many. That in itself could inspire more women to consider doing that particular job. That’s exactly why I wanted to emphasize the fact that she’s a female.

    • @jyc215

      @imanthonytv The comparison is the same.
      Teaching is obviously a female dominated occupation, so to see more dudes becoming kindergarten teachers would be great to see, in my opinion. How many males do you see teaching 5 yr olds? My guess is not many. That in itself could inspire more men to consider doing that particular occupation. That’s exactly what compelled me to comment and emphasize why it's not that big of a deal.

    • @imanthonytv

    Just go P&D with a good LTL company. Same money but you're not dragging around a bomb. P&D is also day work Monday- Friday.

      I personally think the whole “bomb” notion that I hear every so often is ridiculous. How often do you hear of tanker explosions caused by accident? You’re more likely to have a fatal car accident than going out from a tanker explosion.

      Having done P&D and Fuel - the schedule is better in P&D but 20-30 stops per day, lift gates, broken fright, heavy freight, etc. is a real pain. Not to mention dockwork, that’s hell. Fuel is way better.

      @@MrsCeeMoe Haha! Indeed, bro. I learned real quick to check all of my skids, and re-route myself. No one ever said shit. I didn’t care if it took an extra hour of the day, cause it would’ve taken that long to offload the freight in the way and reload it anyways. Sometimes I had to double-back to areas and didn’t care cause fuuuuck spending all of my energy at my first few stops rearranging all of that shit. Especially when skids were 3k lbs and all I had was a manual pallet-Jack. Fool me once……

      Lol I’ve done LTL P&D and fuel hauling. P&D money can’t touch fuel money
