Demifiend really does have such a legacy and gravitas built up around him that most other characters in all of the franchise can't hold a torch to. I've seen one person defeat Demi-Fiend. However, they had to downgrade all the way to SAFETY mode just to do it; you know you're the toughest BB in all JRPGS when only the lowest difficulty gives you a chance at victory, one that's not even a sure thing.

I don't think that SMT will ever produce a character more iconic and more threatening, despide being just a skinny boy in tight shorts, than the Demi Fiend. I mean...nahobino is cool and all, but he will only ever be second banana at best. which is also the reason why they didn't even bother to make the new MC a "new Demi Fiend". We already got one and it will always remain on top. Also: it is funny how the Demi Fiend practically killed Kagutsuchi (which was just another version of YHWH if we are to be exact) at the end of his journey, only for SMT V to begin with "Well God is already Dead". Would have been a nice lore addition if they would have said, yo that dude is actually the one who killed God for lucifer years ago.

@@theraymedicster261 You can see the resist from Yoshitsune and it goes down to 800. Definitely survivable, assuming you are max level and max vitality wwith resist phys. If not, enduring soul should do the trick. Your goal is to keep nanobiho alive, unlike in DDS where it isn't that big of a deal. As long as you can do that, pray to YHYW he doesn't gaea rage right after and it should be good to go

To be completely accurate, Kagutsuchi wasn't YHVH, merely an avatar of him. Though he did share some of YHVH's personality traits the way I see it.

@@jackmesrel4933 So how would you survive the first strike? From what I see, resist phys seems to be insufficient, you need Null/Repel. Does this mean the "if you null/repel, I'll wipe you" rule no longer in effect?
@@theraymedicster261 I guess that you need to be at least at level 90 for you and your demons to survive his attacks, you know, the usual for superbosses.
@@theraymedicster261 You can see the resist from Yoshitsune and it goes down to 800.
Definitely survivable, assuming you are max level and max vitality wwith resist phys.
If not, enduring soul should do the trick. Your goal is to keep nanobiho alive, unlike in DDS where it isn't that big of a deal. As long as you can do that, pray to YHYW he doesn't gaea rage right after and it should be good to go
