Question: I saw a forum thread on Steam the other day where people were talking about how disabling upscaling entirely actually counterintuitively made the game run smoother. The explanation for this was that DLSS and other upscaling tools essentially take some of the load off of the GPU and makes the CPU compensate for it without significantly sacrificing image quality. With this in mind, knowing DD2's optimization issues are more a CPU problem than a GPU problem, the idea is that taking the extra GPU hit to lighten the load on the CPU will actually make the game run much more stable. Do you think there's merit to this idea? I intend to try it out when I get home soon, to see if it makes performance better or worse or the same.
@@TonyDegrees I’m on the newest drivers. I didn’t notice much difference after the most recent update tbh. I think the “Game Ready Driver” for DD2 came out before the actual release.
There is merit in the idea but it really depends on the graphics card you are using and a few minior factors that are really not talked about, For example, its a huge impact with optimization. surprised your pc hasn’t blown up😭
The game runs like ass regardless of settings with a 10700K/3080. Another game that can't run at 1440 on last gen PC hardware. What happened last January that ruined performance on almost every new game?
If I use fsr3 I loose FPS...
Please help me with my port forward mc server 😪 the video didn't worked for me
Bro looks like Thorkel
I'm playing skyrim for now till DD gets fixed
Good for you?
@@CheebsCheeby yes good for me if you asked as a question
What is your hardware? Im getting 80-230 fps with fsr 3
Capcom will most likely not fix this issue
@@Desolved_Absolution Well they will definitely suffer a loss if not fixed cuz the scope the game has is that of a videogame that receives GOTY
how do you fix gb my is bug and it say red flag
Perfect, now in Soveran city
i run 90 fps without even fsr in open world, then im in town i put everything low too the lowest possible settings with my rx 6800x and ryzen 7 5800x and with fsr enabled, and i just scratched the 30 fps sometimes, with perma stuttering when i move the camera, that game is utterly broken in this main city
all high max out ryzen 7 5700x, 49g ram 3080, 10gig .... 70 to 80 fraps at 1080 240 hz
I would recommend for any pc In the last 5 years turn off vsynce their implementation is horrible and frame times are all over the place. Use Rivatuner to lock the fps to 45 trust me it's looks smooth and the frame time is smooth as butter. I have the game maxed out with Ray tracing on and it doesn't dip very much at all. I play UW1440p with a 12700k and 7900xt.
lets goooooooo
yesterday i installed AtlasOS and i run this game 4k max settings 60fps+ No fidelity or DLSS!!, my pc is Very low end with my motherboard supporting DDR3L rams!! and my cpu is shit, the only thing i have is 4060RTX. AtlasOS is the goat. but ofc the cities lowers my fps to 30 or less :'(
Ryzen 7 5800x
3080ti
32gb ddr5 ram
Monitor is a Samsung QN90C 65"
I pay on 1440 with dlss on quality(theres very very minimal noticeable differences in image quality from full 4k)
I get roughly 100-110fps in open world.
And 90ish in towns.
Since i have a tv with far better picture and color than any moniter i do enable HDR... without it the frames are roughly the same sometimes higher sometimes lower.
I have that set up and get nowhere near that performance 😅
@Ash-dj3gb I'm sure there's some other factors that we don't realize. Like which overall card we have. And how well the cpu and ram work together. Especially with cpu heavy games.
Also should be noted I have a z690 mobo and I'm overclocked.
anyone who paid £50 to play a game with that performance is being robbed. I refunded instantly once I found out it wasn't my system and was actually game optimisation/design. capcom should be dragged through the street for this absolute shitheap
They need to stop rendering things you can't see it's a waste of resources.
You sound a lot like Rendog lol
has anyone try to run this game on a ryzen 9 6900hs? :X
80 FPSish on a RTX 3070 with a Ryzen 7 5700x
That’s more than enough lol
Basically the same but 3070ti. Are you running ray tracing? And what resolution are you playing at?
Bro thats more than enough, 3060 can barely maintain 60 fps💀
@@MR.L0N3Ly030he is lying
4090 gives like 60 fps and 40 fps inside towns
Wait until you get into the later areas lmao. I was hitting 110 fps in the early game areas and now down to 50 after playing for a few hours.
Are there any optimization guides to reduce the microtransactions? 🤣🤣
It's just useless currency like capcom always did...
Yes, just don't buy it, easy fix
I Play this on 2k and Maximum Settings with FSR 3.0 on Quality and Full Raytracing. 100+ FPS with Ryzen 9 7900X3D + Sapphire 7900XTX Nitro+ and 32 GB Ram. This Game is Worth a Hardware Upgrade.
Then why are you here big dawg? 😂
@@ShadyMikeWas not meant liek this. More like that People can guess what Hardware is Good. But after the Tests of Gamernexus the Graphics Card doesnt matter much. The Game is 90% CPU bound.
This game runs like total shit 💩 I have a 4070 ti pair with AMD 5800x 12 core cpu some spots of the game can drop as low as 30fps
the 5800X has 8 cores. I am playin with same CPU and a 7800XT on max settings and also drop to 30 fps but it feels more like 20 fps.
DLSS blurrier than FSR? What,... 99% of the time DLSS looks better in games, is this performance guide even worth watching.
Depends heavily on the game.
This is accurate for this game. Trust me
And motion blur on. This man desperately needs glasses.
Still a decent video tho
If you have the game you will see how DLSS is quite bad and looks blurry compared to FSR. Devs have said they are aware of it and working on a fix.
Stupid CPU heavy games.
fuck the hell with this game!!!!
Not gonna play the game, just wanna watch your vid.
this is not a fps guide as you just told us what those settings do lmao u did not gave us a fps boost settings that doesnt make the game looks bad, try again and delete this video
Fortnite optimization plssss fast
bruh, that game can run on a potato
Imagine needing Fortnite optimization after 10 years of it being out 💀 bro must be trying to run it on a game boy
Everything low expect textures is what 99% of people who play would be using
@@DJSLANKMAN im trying to max out the frames, i only get 200 in game and 350-400 in creative
200 fps and you want optimisation? Get out
I mean as a user using a 4080... this is disgustingly fucking sad, horizon forbidden west is more optimized than this GAME, is like they optimization is not in their budget, doesn't matter what ur CPU/GPU is, ur gonna get trash gameplay regardless... they need to fucking fix it, you shouldn't need a MOD to get decent smooth gameplay its pathetic as fuck.
funny that no one is playing in 1080p like me so yeah im cpu bound so this don't help much.
