wyatt hackney what’s taking advantage even mean? Everything you do or buy has a profit built into it for someone. A group of investors pool their money that they worked and saved, buy a park, charge rent. Sounds fair.
Jackster Jackster, how much money you have has nothing to do with your character. Plenty of awful poor people, and plenty of awful rich people, and all levels between the two.
This makes me a little uneasy. These people are walking around these trailer parks laughing and just having a good old time while the actual tenants are struggling and don't even know if they will have a home a year later. what a sham
So in your stupid words if one person is suffering then everyone should be suffering of what they're suffering... Then how come you are here with the luxury to type this? I'm sure they don't. Some people just don't know how think first like you.

Mark Heggeland the ppl on the bus are investors lookn to buy trailer parks . The poor and the offenders need somewhere to go . The rent is cheap . Where else would they go . Welfare ? So our tax dollars can pay for them ? At least they're not homeless . As for being poor . Some can't help it ( mental and or physical disabilities ) but there's no reason others can't work two jobs .
They're vultures. I've lived in these parks. Listen to what these scumbags are saying. "It's easy because they don't have cars." "They have no place to go." They're talking about washing down a shitty trailer with bleach to pretend it shouldn't be condemned. They make pure profit and don't do shit for the people living in these homes. And if you think they only do this to sex offenders, you haven't payed attention. Monsters. If you're going to buy the trailer park, fucking do your job as a landlord and actually renovate and maintain. But they won't. And no one will make them. Because they have an attitude like yours. You are scum too, with your attitude. You make me sick. Talking shit about poor people. High and mighty and don't know your ass from a hole in the ground. You have no idea what it's like, or how quickly it can happen to anyone.. Don't go taking advantage of the poor. It's hard enough to feed yourself when you're poor. You don't need fucking Scrooge buying up your home. Oh, and btw, some of us DID work two or even three jobs. No reason but maybe THERE ARE NO DECENT JOBS. A lot of these parks are in very economically depressed areas. I am incredibly grateful I no longer live in the one I had to live in. And I'm glad our park wasn't just jacking the rent up to make a quick profit. But my neighbors and my mom were not so lucky. Think! Stop judging the poor and start judging the ones that actually have options, and choose greed!
Sounds like someone needs some counseling for their anger issues . I wasn't speaking about you personally . So sorry you felt it necessary to think so . I do speak from experience. About these specific ppl at this specific trailer park? Not the whole world of trailer parks? Why do ppl always somehow make a comment or statement about themselves? I was not speaking in general . Lighten up
Not really. Unless you can clearly demonstrate that the extra $200-$500 a month extra they're paying in rent who dramatically alter their lives, your claim is baseless. And it's not a charity, it's a real estate investment. If they're not allowed to operate at a profit, then the parks don't exist and there is less low cost housing, meaning more homeless

14 years ago I was unemployed and living unemployment check to unemployment check. I did own a 24 year old 24 foot travel trailer that I lived in. I told all my friends that I would someday like to own my own property so that I couldn't be kicked out because the land lord wanted their daughter to have the property (it's how I ended up in just a travel trailer). One of my friends told me he knew a guy that was selling bare property that had just been clear cutted logged off. I talked to the man and he wanted just $500.00 down and $500 a month for payments on a $40,000 dollar 5 acre property (with mountain views!) So I scrapped up (borrowed from my Mom) the $500 dollars and now I was a property owner. I got a job and started investing a bit into fixing up the property by putting in a driveway. Free rock, a friend with a Cat and the driveway was in. I ran power to the property and a phone line. 6 months after I bought it a man offered me $84,000 dollars for it! I had literately just $6500 dollars and a few cases of beer to my friend with the Cat into the property. I took the offer as the property wasn't in the state I wanted to live in. I took $30,000 of my profit to Montana and bid on a HUD house and won it for $47,000. Ten years later my house was fixed up and paid for and it sits on 12 beautiful acres in the Southern Bitterroot mountains of Montana! Some luck and a whole lot of networking with friends got me where I am. I am now drawing my pension and Social Security and living quite well. 15 years ago I was homeless without a job and no prospects for an older man. What a change.

AGENT 355 It's an unfortunate reality of business. What you call extra cash is their paycheck. It's like if you worked at McDonald's, you wouldn't say it's fair if a particular elderly couple could come in once a month during your shift and order food and you just wouldn't get paid that hour of work because it paid for them. What many wage earners don't understand is that when you say extra cash, you are talking about asking people to take a pay cut. Unfortunately, a business isn't a charity. That being said, I do think what they are doing is predatory. It's just important to recognize that what you call extra money is really someone's income.
To be honest this sounds pretty inhumane and unethical. Like you already have enough money to take care of all your needs, and these poor people don't. And your taking advantage of their weakness in order to get yourself stronger. That's pretty just wow...

Kevin Davenport My closest friend comes from a very wealthy family. He was bullied, used, and taken advantage of by so-called “friends” because of his wealth. Because of this, he’s battled anxiety and depression for a long time. I became friends with him on a gaming forum, and eventually we went to college together. Before I even knew about his background, we had already become best friends. Eventually he told me, even though he was afraid to, and quite frankly, I didn’t care. I mean, the guy would just eat 5 dollar sandwiches and a soda everyday. To this day, he’s the truest friend I’ve ever had. He’s one of the kindest people I know, and it’s sad to see how much of his life was controlled by the biases people hold towards the rich. It’s probably the same reason people who win the lottery end up miserable or commit suicide. That being said, I’ll admit that his family does seem to be the stereotypically rich type, so your words do have merit.

But that being said...yeah, college is still a gigantic ripoff.

I don't know about that market they're in, but here land prices are going up 10-20% a year and we pay property taxes to the local/state government based on that value. So if the value is going up, rent would have to too in order to make the same amount of profit.
Gareth Wareth I think it is more they have no choice and understand it is business i.e. we have been brought up to expect to pay for what we need .. albeit the price is a rip off. Think it is scandalous the way people prey on the most vulnerable and helpless .. this is not how humans should behave. We are supposed to care and nurture each other instead it is all about the money.. But then again this probably goes back to that primal instinct "survival of the fittest" except it is now "survival of the richest". Be Strong God forbid you want to make a profit, hilarious how people think rent should be cheep as hell or even free as if the risk to the owner is nothing
Its so weird that they Can just raise the rent every year. In my country its illegal to raise prices for rent while you live there. Rent can only be raised if the landlord makes the place better. Some old people almost pay nothing for their place because they rented it 30 years ago without rent being raised
What country you in? Because where I'm at they are legally able to raise the rent whenever they want if your lease is on month to month. But only a certain percentage every year. To me it makes sense, the owners property taxes go up usually every year. So they adjust it to correlate. Now if you're a good tenant and never late on rent they won't up your rent. I have been in the same place 5 years and it has stayed the same. Now I'm looking at other places in my area and rent should of already been upped by $400. Making is $1600 by now. Prices are outrageous.
What country do you live in? I need to move there!! Seriously!! I live in the United States and rent is OUTRAGEOUS 👿👿 It's shameful what happens in the US
OMG where do you live ? I want to live there. In my city, you get 2 year leases. At the end of 2 years the landlord can double your rent if he wants to so people have to move just because of the unpredictable greed of the landlord. moving costs thousands of dollars + rent deposits etc. it also means you own the bare minimum because you are moving all the time. When I was young, people had nice furniture, crystal, bone china -- now people get everything from Ikea so they can dump it when they move because buying it again is cheaper than moving it.
Here we go..."should be illegal." What other prices do you think should be illegal? How in the world do you know how much is too much for a trailer in a city and a state you don't even live in?
@@Mkundera well it should be regulated and rent increases should be regulated too. It is not a bargain for anyone to live in these places unless they are run by resident owned communities or older landlords who do not put up rents to "what the market will bear" by new investors who increase rents 14 percent to 20 percent or more and then increase rent 4 to 8 percent every year. Sorry it is bad capitalism without regulation. Buyers of homes beware .

I started thinking about retirement the very day I got my first job. I lived frugal while working full time. I refused to buy a car. No cable tv. Cheapest Internet. Six years later, I sent my last mortgage payment. I've owned my home since, and as a result have been saving about $1,000 monthly. That basically means I gave myself a $15K/year pay raise just by eating noodles and top ramen for six years. Was it worth it? Well, for me it was. By the time I retire, I should have financial independence. No fear of homelessness. No landlord can take advantage of me. Most people can't do what I did. To live poor for six years is not easy.

Jesus. So we're pitting a bus full of vulture-esque scumbags against a trailer park full of sex offenders. Who exactly am I supposed to be rooting against? I feel horrible watching this.
The answer is Napalm, Mark. Lots and lots of Napalm.
Not yours of course . You take care . Not everyone has had the shitty life you seemed to have had . Sorry for that . Notice how I spoke of this particular trailer park? About these specific ppl at this specific trailer park? Not the whole world of trailer parks? Why do ppl always somehow make a comment or statement about themselves? I was not speaking in general . Lighten up
Hahaaaaaaaaaaaahaahaaasaaaa!!!!! Seems to me like you a need pill !! Thanks for the entertainment!!😂
There’s something super unethical about taking advantage of people who are trying to rebuild their lives.
ya, the people renting a bedroom should only have to pay $200-$250.
The market sets the rate. Not these park owners. If there was a cheaper option they would be taking it.
No there isn't. Stop trying to be morally superior.
@@carmenvance5303 The utilities are included in the price. So after electricity & water & gas & wear & tear on the property they have to make profit or what’s the point of investing into it?

When it comes to housing our population ... we have failed as a nation. The rich get richer, get GIVEN so many perks... while the poor and middle class struggle and fall behind more and more.

Cliff DaRiff the cure for this: Buy the property, Clean it up , make it pet free! , drop the Rent! Repeat! Slum lords put out of business! Buy up their parks: repeat!
You have money for this scheme? It sounds nice, but the people who care don't have the cash. That's the problem, in a nutshell.
Cliff DaRiff I agree
I don't know about that market they're in, but here land prices are going up 10-20% a year and we pay property taxes to the local/state government based on that value. So if the value is going up, rent would have to too in order to make the same amount of profit.
I feel sick. But GAWD DAMN that was a perfect example of why millennials don't favor "pure" capitalism.
Value people over profit
Pure greed...
Robert McCusker and thats bad why?
They only went to one sex offender park... You saying all people on fixed income are the worst people on the planet? Lol
True
Sad people saying its business, guess what you can make money in ethical businesses, you don't need to sell your soul you disgusting humans
You are....asking why? Most people have empathy. You don't?
I lived in a trailer many years ago. I owned the home and paid $30.00 a month rent for the lot. Guess that was a bargain!
Hello, how long after you pay off your mobile home can you move it out of the park and onto your own land ?
@@kiramonay 99% of these people don't own their own land, if they did they would buy a new trailer and park it on their land.
Nearly every place I look into purchasing some land ban mobile homes entirely.
Did anyone else feel like they had to take a shower after watching this?
Steve Cherches absolutely......
Nope but i did feel inspired
I feel like i had to take a shower in hydrogen peroxide after watching this
@@fobbitguy or some other type of disinfectant
Exactly
sickening
This is disgusting. LET'S TAKE ADVANTAGE OF EVERYONE WE CAN is the new moto of the rich.
what do you mean "new" motto.
Lmao, when was that ever not the "motto of the rich?"
So sex offenders should not be taken advantage of?!?
Capitalism
No one is taking advantage. They sell a property and somebody buys it. Anyone could buy it.
It’s wrong on so many levels when millionaires raise rates.
What shocks me about this is that they're fine with it. Shows how capitalism is so ingrained into our minds.
Gareth Wareth For a non-American, it's insane to see how copitalism is so ingrained into your minds.
Martin Skevla I'm British...
I think here in the UK at least there is some dignity for some of our disabled, sick & poor in getting decent homes with affordable rents (well at least near where I live) .. not sure how long that will last though. What I can't fathom is how people can live with themselves knowingly ripping other people off.
Midge ACE In the UK in upper classes they don't care but in the lower classes, although there is racism, sexism, homophobia there is love. It's a shame some British people are so dumb but near where I live most people have some kind of love for people. It's just a shame many of them are politically dumb and vote Tories who actually go against most of their personal ideologies.
Gareth Wareth I know what you mean it is either that or they just switch off and hope for the best.
This is absolute cruelty....
This boys and girls is a perfect example of what your parents are talking about when they say the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.
Im glad to see the dislike ratio on this video it makes me have the slightest bit of expectations that real humans still exist
RUclips removed the dislike button so without comments like yours we would never know.
why are they treating poor people like that
Because they don't have a conscience. It is called a sociopath. I am glad most people are nice.
I live in a trailer park and it's 700$ a month
Because they can.
Jeanette Waverly no sympathy out of you. You must be a trailer park owner🤬
@@evelinholmes6401 Lmao you can b one too, dont be mad that youre poor

Don Bagley Too bad these disgusting people deserve it.
Be Strong God forbid you want to make a profit, hilarious how people think rent should be cheep as hell or even free as if the risk to the owner is nothing
Disgusting. Taking advantage of the poor and struggling. "Jack up the rent"
It's insanely disgusting how proud these people are about the way they conduct business and treat the less fortunate.
Plant single seed of grass
This sort of investment and gouging should be illegal
Here we go..."should be illegal." What other prices do you think should be illegal? How in the world do you know how much is too much for a trailer in a city and a state you don't even live in?
@@Mkundera well it should be regulated and rent increases should be regulated too. It is not a bargain for anyone to live in these places unless they are run by resident owned communities or older landlords who do not put up rents to "what the market will bear" by new investors who increase rents 14 percent to 20 percent or more and then increase rent 4 to 8 percent every year. Sorry it is bad capitalism without regulation. Buyers of homes beware .
Laura Walker they put the price for around the same as near by trailer parks, he’s not anything illegal or something that be should it’s just how the market works sadly
This is economics 101, these people have a fixed income (it doesn't go up it doesn't go down). The housing market goes up or down in value, if it goes up in value then tough luck to the people who aren't increasing their wages.
Seriuosly
I feel like he did this to humiliate these people

You are just the person to do it ethically, then.
Ethical people don't make money.
Tony Browns unless you work where currency is made, you don't make currency either. the vast majority of people acquire currency, not make it.
Bet you didn't and don't, have kids.
These ppl are the reason ppl go homeless. When money takes over your heart uve lost all morals .
Yup, this is pure greed! SMDH
We are giving Israel a total aid of $38 billion this year while 1 in 5 of American children go to bed hungry and are homeless 😢

this guy... 'I don't dictate the market'... truly out of touch with human reality... he enforces a temporary inflated market and cares not for these individuals... i bet he's never lowered a rent on a property that didn't sit vacant for quite some time...
That probably what he tells him self at night to fell better. The government will give them more money ! lol
This is what America has become. This is shameful! All about the love of $. Every time I hear someone claim that America is a ‘Christian’ nation I literally cringe.
Keith Lee it’s what America has always been about. How else do you think we have towering skyscrapers and big businesses like McDonald’s and Walmart? Money
Keith Lee Hey! How dare you blaspheme against my god of money!
Listen, it ain't about God or loving your neighbor as was commanded , it's about money, the ultimate importance in the universe that we ourselves create the value of
Keith do you give up your home to others? Or are you being a hypocrite.
The problem with America's charity, is that about 65% of it, helps people in foreign nations, refugees, and illegal immigrants. While roughly 35% or less, actually helps American citizens in America. This is the insane (primarily liberal) dichotomy. As for the 1%, or financial elite, some of them are very generous, many are not at all; -and everything in between. Some of them believe the problem is not of their making and cannot be solved given the scale of it (and that it's not their responsibility anyway). Some of them believe that eugenics is the answer or a partial answer. I'll tell you what is not the answer: Government in any form, especially Marxist, Socialist, or Communist liberal leftist government. Free Market Capitalism is far from perfect, but it is still the best socioeconomic and sociopolitical system. The problem we have in America is corruption, and a worthless government that does nothing about it (because they can't work together and put compromise); And a worthless uneducated population, failing totally in their civic responsibility to do anything about it, because they're too incompetent to get organized and instead watch RUclips videos explaining just how bad the problem really is. "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” -Sir Edmund Burke
"There were no poor people in the 50s and 60s" Someone failed basic american history.
Yeah, a lot of people lived what we would consider poor then, but the difference is many of them owned their homes and land. So even though they were low income, they had a security in life I believe most no longer have.
There certainly were less poor people, and income inequality was at its lowest at that time.
You guys should talk to Incredible homes guy, Randy. Who is providing affordable homes and not looking down on ppl but creating community.
