Another good episode guys. Gregory River is the best, we had the exact spot when we were there a year ago. I still think it's our favourite place so far.
Thank you guys so much. It’s so hard to choose but we really found this to be one of our favourite camps also. Such a peaceful beautiful place isn’t it.
@@chasingdreamsau yes it was a beautiful place. Everything was free . The a drive in movie 3 time a week, a pool. A but that went to my isa 3 time a week. I had a horse and was in the pony club there. Golf club and bowls club. Supermarket, hospital. Pub. I work in the pub for a little bit and there was a workers cantain that I use to start there at 5am. Post office. I loved it there.
That is really cool, I guess they had to offer different things for people to do for free to attract workers would they? Sounds like you had a great time whilst you were there.
Just found you. Really enjoyed this episode . Nice friendly couple. l have family coming over from Ireland in October. would like to take them there . could you please let me know if you can pitch tents are is it just caravans . will be watching more from ues in the coming weeks 🇮🇪 🇦🇺
Hey Peter, thanks heaps mate. That is unreal! There would be so much to show them I’m sure. When we stayed here others had tents and the likes there, best of all the town had facilities not too far away also. Best of luck with showing the family around and enjoy the journey together.
On those skinny bitumen, unfortunately a lot of travelers find it hard to understand. Essentially the etiquette is: For oncoming trucks, YOU get off the bitumen completely, IF you have a faster traveller behind you, pull over and let them past (its amazing how many people are too rude or thoughtless to do this). For oncoming cars slow down in plenty of time before passing, keep your drivers side wheels on the bitumen and the oncoming driver should do the same.
For sure mate, there are a lot of people that just don’t think about these things I guess and in such a hurry to just make sure everyone can get home safe. Thank you for sharing and hopefully someone can take something away from it. Cheers mate. 👍

It is such a great spot and we think worth the adventure. We really enjoyed this whole part of Queensland. 👍

That's so right time waits for no one❤ life's way too short, and what an amazing country we have 😊
It sure is, time just flashes by.
Don’t we ever, we are so lucky to be able to live in such a diverse country.
Looks an amazing spot on the riverside
To this day Gregory River would have to be one of our favourite spots! Just so relaxing peaceful. Highly recommend!
My mum and dad were in the first mining at Mary Katharine and myself and my husband live in the caravan park in the 1980s. I love it there.
Wow, we would have loved to of seen this place then and in full operation. We really enjoyed what was left and really just felt so relaxed there.
