Very informative and I will get right on reading the book. I hope it can help people who don't even like ordering pizza over the phone. Thanks for your enthusiasm.

    So helpful!
I first learned about creating an Author Platform from Anne Helmstedter's "The Sellable Book Inner Circle."
Lauren Sapala provides excellent advice and interesting angles. I will immediately make a record of my -- admittedly small -- email list.
Great challenge to create a gift offering tips and tricks (in my case on becoming a superhero).
And I love the idea of using themes as marketing!
On a totally personal note, I'm no introvert (my late wife complained that when she -- who WAS an introvert [BRAINWAVE: I can share my tips on how to make an introvert comfortable at parties, a strategy I devised for my wife that worked perfectly] -- said it was time to leave a party, it took me 45 minutes because I had to say goodbye to every single attendant). But maybe a RUclips channel could work for me.
    Much to mull over.
    On to the next lesson!
    Roger, AKA SuperRog

You would still need social media to build that email list. I really know nothing about this part and really would rather just be the writer and have the agent/publisher do that part.
