Thank you, sir. Your tips were invaluable. The advice was a blessing after my first video spent two and a half minutes suggesting I try making sure it was plugged in.
When you connect a usb charger on your quest 3, does it wiggle/ wobble or is it firmly in place? My new q3 has a wobble which is quite bothering considering this is brand new and should be firm
it happend to me as well today. I tried to hold it for quite a while but not 20 seconds so I was basically ready to pack it for warranty and then gave a shot on YT for some times before doing so. And it paid off! :D
The same happened to me . We’ll i accidentally yanked the cord out after playing a gun game and ever since I could not try it. So then I tried to reboot it. I plugged it in and it worked
Thx for the insightful tips. I've got a brand new Quest 3 and was wondering all of a sudden as to why it's not charging. I forgot to remove the lense cover while it's charging, I guess it interrupted the process even though powered down.
For me it says that “usb c charging port disabled. Liquid or debris was detected in the charging port.” And I cleaned it and I am not sure what to do and I am scared, it won’t charge at all and I looked inside and didn’t see any dirt of liquid.
my usb port is partially working, its started with the message there is debri in the usb c port. now it will no longer fast charge with any usb c to usb c plug including oculus plugs. The usb c port will also not recognize when connect to pc. One thing i have notice is if i connect the quest 3 to a usb c to usb a cable i can charge it but at slow speeds. crazy for sure. please help
I don't know if someone needs help on this, but after contacting META they told me to remove the front facial, since this can 'block' a sensor, mine was showing orange light but never charging, after removing that it charges fine, once charged, just put it back on, in my case, I have to do this process about 2 times a month, bit awful, but it works. Hope can this be helpful for someone.
My vr wasn’t charging and I tried and tried to get it to charge I didn’t charge and I finally found out the problem after 4 hours and it turns out I was using the wrong charger 😐
OMG Thank youuuuuu soooooo much. You don’t know how I feel you see my parents thought it was me and I just fixed it thank you so much!!!! Your the w man thanks
Did you get the debris or liquid in port message? I just found q comment that fixed my no charging problem. Take the solid piece of the strap and move it in the opposing direction it was in and plug it back in. I tried everything else and was losing my mind cause it wouldn't charge.
Ok so I have been spending about 3 hours trying to get my headset to charge, so I give up and click on this video, guess what, the charging cable wasn’t in all the way, thank you for reminding me lmao
Ok, I'm just posting this. In case it helps someone. I stopped playing my Q3 for about a month, so it was completely dead. I would plug it in and get the orange charge led, but about 30 seconds later, it would go out. What ended up being the problem was that the halo strap was blocking the sensor. It would try and turn on, die instantly, then wait until it had enough power, and try to turn on again, and repeat.
@train-_lika_-boss4600 No, I have a 3rd party halo strap I bought. The headband is adjustable. When I pulled the headset out, it covered the sensor, making it think I was wearing it. I play without the facial pad, so the sensor is kind of exposed. Normally, it wouldn't have been an issue.
@train-_lika_-boss4600 when the headset is charging and that sensor detects something close. It thinks you got it on and will try to boot up. Which takes a little more power. So it would go dead before it completely powered on.
For me it says that “usb c charging port disabled. Liquid or debris was detected in the charging port.” And I cleaned it and I am not sure what to do and I am scared, it won’t charge at all and I looked inside and didn’t see any dirt of liquid.
oooh ! I have a tendency to put the controllers in the headset when I don't use it.. it might have triggered the sensor like this which would explain why it wasn't charging
Got the solution press the power button/ volume button firmly at same time for 10-15 seconds then when you see a screen with multiple options press boot device and click itt
