Superb quality Ronny, definitely some of your best work yet. Really feel privileged having people like yourself and Andrew St Pierre White creating some of the most honest and unpretentious content around.Thank you and keep up the good work.
I guess im randomly asking but does anyone know of a way to log back into an Instagram account?? I somehow forgot my login password. I love any assistance you can offer me
@Emory Saint i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now. I see it takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Magnificent!!! The only word to describe that episode. It got a little tense there for a bit with the soft sides. Tense for me and I was only a hapless viewer. I can only imagine the heart in your mouth driving you guys would’ve experienced. Would’ve been funny if someone in your group got frazzled & spooked by the track’s super soft edges and spread a highly contagious amount of mass panic & unrest among the convoy haha.
This has to be in the top 5. Put it this way. About 20 min in I needed to pee. Yes, since I was using my S6 I could have taken it with me but no! Smart me had to stay put and watch. making things worse, smart me still has to pee. From Oregon, in the U.S. of A., Thanks Bill
Great Series Ronny! Are you planning to make a full review video on the Patriot X1 GT? If not, please do!!!!. Planning to get one, so I could use an unbiased review on it. Thanks. Can't wait for the rest of the episodes. Cheers from USA.
Excellent stuff. Perhaps its an age thing but i said “geez that bloke in the silver cruiser drives too fast!”... then it all made sense- hes got no diff locks and goes last, so he has to hit it faster or he is stuck. Looking forward to the next chapter 👍
great trip guys some awesome water crossings, love the rear tailgate table Wayne, I will have to do that to mine now, I see you have the rear diff conversion to the 70 Travis, thanks guys loved it
Awesome video mate! That's some good driving by all. Any more info on your camo arm rest for your drivers door? Looks the goods on long trips. Cheers and look forward to the next episode.
Usually watch all my RUclips on iPad, but decided to watch this on my 65” HDTV, WOW comes up a treat. Only issue really was sound levels varying throughout it, no biggie. That was awesome remote footage & driving. Loving Wayne’s setup.
Just for feedback how was the sound compared to previous series? I’ve played around much more in this latest series as sound is one of those things I’m working on improving.
Ronny Dahl it was first time ive ever watched on TV and not thru headphones on Ipad. It was more varying when you were holding camera and walking around asking guys questions and they were not so close to camera/mic. I was changing my TV sound level between 10-14 to rectify.
Great clips mate. I watch it on my 55" screen. Looks brilliant. BTW nice to see Techni Ice dual zone get some love. I have the 60 litre and it goes well.
Amazing! Well done so far Ronny, can’t wait for the next episode. Such great viewing! I wish I was out in oz, I’d come along too, if you’d let me! Haha, however, my old Td5 Land rover Defender might show you Toyota boys up!! Only kidding, keep up the good work mate. 👍
Can someone do a behind the scenes of what Ronny does.. torben or Wayne.. will definitely subscribe to that channel.. anyway, good content guys. Can’t wait for next episode...
You've done old Len proud, he'd be happy to know people are still using his roads.. I've had a warn 8000 for 12 years put it on 3 different hilux's,lost count how many times it's saved my ass . Don't buy any of that dressed up Chinese crap.. Love the videos. Thanks Ronny.
+Ronny Dahl Can you show us behind the scene footage, how do u mount the camera, who pick it after the cars pass, I am curious, I believe its not an easy job
The detour was tough, but it really put this video over the top. Great job loved every second. Didn't want it to end. How much do your riggs weigh with all that gear?
For me the most notable feature of the video was that two winches burnt out within a short space of time. I don't find electric winches to be a good engineering solution - they aren't rated for continuous use and they overload the rest of the electrical system. I would suggest that one of the vehicles should have been fitted with a hydraulic winch - they are slow but they never burn out. They are a good contingency solution.
Ronny, being as you are such a well informed person, and that is appreciated, I had noticed that the drive line on the 79 series comes straight out of both sides of the transfer case which is not the conventional way. Do you know if there was any specific engineering reason for this? I am intrigued.
Ronny I always like the videos where the tracks are challenging. Where does Travis have a fridge in his cruiser? Also did Torben sell his roof top tent? Wish those full size pelican cases were available in the USA. Thanks!!!
Parabolics have more movement than regular leaf springs so each leaf is a rubber spacer to reduce noise and metal on metal contact. If that’s what you are taking about.
what did Wayne say, "its ok" famous last words on the first salt lake LOL. That would be hyper-saline water I guess, will make a big mess on the truck.
Made for great video but I'm sure you regretted taking that detour. You were lucky in the end, it could have ended badly especially considering the circumstances, such a remote location & losing two winches in the process
hi gavin, the draws were made by dingo 4x4, the passenger side is where all the cooking happens and the other side is the clothes and recovery gear. it was mainly designed for the misses so she can use a bit easier
Yep the track was closed until the day we started. We saw no signs of water until..... also there are zero clear records of rain fall as it’s so remote there is nothing or no one to report
Great episode Ronny and rest of the guys. Question, how is it that the tracks themselves are relatively hard packed but the minute you even step foot off the traffic you sink in? Considering that the ground is so saturated, wouldn’t have thought the track would be much better then the ground around it!
On the salt flats the track is always the best option as it’s been hard packed for decades. The second you step/drive off you are done for as the soil is mud locked in by the thinnest bit of surface crust. I’ve been stuck on a what I thought was a dry salt lake before and it was not fun. Had doubts I’d get my vehicle back. This was quite some time ago. 3 vehicles stuck one winch died and it was 38 degrees centigrade outside... took a long time to get out. Some of the people with me were borderline in panic...
Ronny Dahl ... Ahh ok so it’s the years of constant driving on them that has the track hard packed and everything else mush. Sounds like driving round an obstacle there isn’t really an option. I understand now. Once again great episode, your videos keep getting better and better as time passes and you’re getting more and more experience. Particularly like the little extras like the prank joke you guys pull on each other and the goof ups such as Tourben getting his boot stuck. Keep up the good work mate.
How do you prevent water from getting into your axle and different and if the water does get in do you have to disassemble the differential and axles to clean the water and mud out?
Good mix of action in this video. Some bogging, some water, some recovery, some desert travel, some cook set ups..... good video!
You are taking a lot of effort in making these videos. I really appreciate your effort and dedication.
Obed Lall well said👍
AND THIS IS HOW A 4X4 TRIP SHOULD BE SHOWN -FANTASTICT
Best way to eat Sunday breakfast!!!!! Cheers Ronny great trip mate

Good stuff mate 🖒waynes new setup looks good. Thanks again.
Great Video! Love this remote track with all the tricky road conditions. Well done!
Solid going there, well done. It shows how carefull vehicle and equipment prep pays off but none more so than driver experience!
great video Ronny thanks again looking forward to see the other seven.
Great vid Ronny Better than anything on TV ! unless the womens Beach Volley Ball is on that is

Excellent stuff. I got badly stuck in the Makgadigadipans in Botswana last week. This brought back some memories. Lol
Great camera angle at 28:56... something so simple brings a whole new dimension to the video...

@Aiden Kylo glad I could help xD
Amazing!!
Those things you can only do with a good and cool Team.
Go on....
Magnificent!!! The only word to describe that episode. It got a little tense there for a bit with the soft sides. Tense for me and I was only a hapless viewer. Just made my Sunday morning!!! Great video.
It is a good thing you went that other way Ronny! It gave you lots of cool footage that otherwise would be left to the imagination.....
Little Bear looked majestic as hell going through the water. Man I wish I could get a 79 here in the USA
I believe Patriot Campers is in the US now. Look them up, I'd be surprised if they werent importing LC 70s
Another nice episode ! I will go directly to the third!
Great quality as always
Thanks Ronny, safe travels!👍

Great vid Ronnie
Gr8 production boys
Many thanks
that custom made elbow rest is a masterpiece
Excellent stuff. Perhaps its an age thing but i said “geez that bloke in the silver cruiser drives too fast!”... then it all made sense- hes got no diff locks and goes last, so he has to hit it faster or he is stuck. Looking forward to the next chapter 👍
great trip guys some awesome water crossings, love the rear tailgate table Wayne, I will have to do that to mine now, I see you have the rear diff conversion to the 70 Travis, thanks guys loved it
thank buddy we saw harrys tailgate and the misses pushed for the idea
Always great! Always watch with a brew!
Sure gets the heart rate up driving through that stuff in remote areas with no way back
No corrugations at least. Great video
Mark Jennings haha yet 😉
Awesome video mate! That's some good driving by all. Any more info on your camo arm rest for your drivers door? Looks the goods on long trips. Cheers and look forward to the next episode.
Nice Trip that was sure some sketchy back road you guys did but nicely done guys...
Loving it mate!!!

Ok thanks for that mate 👍
These series are better than 4wd action
idk about that, it's different kinda videos
trent that's a tough one to beat if you live on the east coast, them boys venture and have introduced me to a lot of new tracks here
Thats a tough call.... that is high budget, this is a one man band.
+Aidan Too true. 4WD Action is Playboy, where Ronnie is the Kama Sutra.
Excellent! Well done :)
Thanks for the video
Great clips mate. I watch it on my 55" screen. Looks brilliant. BTW nice to see Techni Ice dual zone get some love. I have the 60 litre and it goes well.
Yet another entertaining episode, thanks Ronny and the team, until next Sunday!!Btw, how often do you guys strip or service your winches??
Not until they pack up
Awesome Videos 👍 Keep up the good work 🙂
Awesome vid
makes me want to move to Aus. Cant do that in England. What a vast expanse of a playground it is!
Amazing! Well done so far Ronny, can’t wait for the next episode. Such great viewing! I wish I was out in oz, I’d come along too, if you’d let me! Haha, however, my old Td5 Land rover Defender might show you Toyota boys up!! Only kidding, keep up the good work mate. 👍
Epic boys. What a detour. lol.
Great video!
18:13 seems like you could've been aired down a lot more to help more with floatation. Good video.
Great vid. A modified episode on Travis’ cruiser would me awesome.
Can someone do a behind the scenes of what Ronny does.. torben or Wayne.. will definitely subscribe to that channel.. anyway, good content guys. Can’t wait for next episode...
There will be something like this in future and a more personal level one for Patreon members too.
Wow, 4am release Ronny!!!
Yep every video from here on is a 4am release 👍
That'll test the first post brigade 😏
Which winch of the 4 rigs would have done the most work in its lifetime? Great series!
How was fuel usage? 25l per 100 for all the cruisers?
Never been this early to your vids mate. I just know I'll enjoy it 👍👌
That was great , sorry for your probs but great for us , burning out 2 winches not good , that detour was a nightmare but no one likes it too easy :-)
+Ronny Dahl Can you show us behind the scene footage, how do u mount the camera, who pick it after the cars pass, I am curious, I believe its not an easy job
you got new recording cam ? picture is just awesome ! greetings from Poland !
Great series what was the average fuel consumption with the cruisers !,,,
33.00............was that fridge setup stolen from the space shuttle?
Loving it
The detour was tough, but it really put this video over the top. Great job loved every second. Didn't want it to end. How much do your riggs weigh with all that gear?
cody bordelon sometimes to much but mine averages about 3.7t
Torben Poulsen . You should do a review, tips & tricks on that Travel Buddy oven. There’s hardly anything on RUclips.
retry tobuy I'm sure we could arrange that on our next trip
Very nice vid!
2 things.
1. what brand were those snatch blocks
2. Ronny, don't root the help
Hay T. How’s the technice fridge mate? Looks like a SnoMaster rebadged?
For me the most notable feature of the video was that two winches burnt out within a short space of time. I don't find electric winches to be a good engineering solution - they aren't rated for continuous use and they overload the rest of the electrical system. Do you know if there was any specific engineering reason for this? I am intrigued.
Not sure mate never thought about it. Should be the same principle as most others but it just happens to line up
Ronny I always like the videos where the tracks are challenging. Where does Travis have a fridge in his cruiser? Also did Torben sell his roof top tent? Wish those full size pelican cases were available in the USA. Thanks!!!
Travis has 1 or two on the back seats. Torben has gone through two roof tops and sold them both. He is not a fan of RTTs and neither am I.
liked this one.. maybe the scenic diversion was a bad idea, lol... i wonder if they will make it to planned camp before it gets dark ??
Maybe just maybe it’ll happen in this series once or twice... hahaha maybe not at all
Question: why are you leaf springs spaced out like that? 33:55
Parabolics have more movement than regular leaf springs so each leaf is a rubber spacer to reduce noise and metal on metal contact. If that’s what you are taking about.
What rooftop tent does Wayne have
Why was Torbin not locked?
How’s all that salt go for rust?
what did Wayne say, "its ok" famous last words on the first salt lake LOL. That would be hyper-saline water I guess, will make a big mess on the truck.
haha i felt the truck just slip the tiniest bit then i looked in the side view and saw ronny was down
yeah, the camper makes that slop treacherous for sure. and then Torbin had to try to get through the grand canyon LOL
Made for great video but I'm sure you regretted taking that detour. You were lucky in the end, it could have ended badly especially considering the circumstances, such a remote location & losing two winches in the process
Regretted at the beginning but after we made it through I was happy we pushed on.
Would like to know more about the rear drawers ..brand etc.Waynes ute.....thanks...top job 🖒👌
hi gavin, the draws were made by dingo 4x4, the passenger side is where all the cooking happens and the other side is the clothes and recovery gear. it was mainly designed for the misses so she can use a bit easier
Why did Torben have no lockers?
Awesome
That's very remote, who do you call if you get stuck? The Marines?!?
Have you guys not been watching the weather for weeks before you set out?
Yep the track was closed until the day we started. We saw no signs of water until..... also there are zero clear records of rain fall as it’s so remote there is nothing or no one to report
Best tank is a blown plastic type (like a plastic jerry can)
Are you related to Roal Dhal ?
14:16 looks more like a sprint boat.
Great episode Ronny and rest of the guys. Question, how is it that the tracks themselves are relatively hard packed but the minute you even step foot off the traffic you sink in? Considering that the ground is so saturated, wouldn’t have thought the track would be much better then the ground around it!

that bit at 25:44 is really scary
Those missile pods on the roof of Little bear...
Do you know if you can buy those awning mounts off Patriot seperate? The one on the x1 that folds up?
Not sure mate you’d have to contact Patriot campers about that one.
Who was driving the drone?
The drone phantom was :D
Where did you get the armrest on your door Ronny??
Was sent to me by an absolute legend from Saudi Arabia
How do you prevent water from getting into your axle and different and if the water does get in do you have to disassemble the differential and axles to clean the water and mud out?
Diff breathers prevents water and mud getting in.
17:09, pulls handbrake, hilarious.
