Looks to be another cracking series. I know you get a lot of requests to work with other RUclips personalities but I really enjoyed Luke and his son with you in this Part 1, as no ego, just a real decent bloke with a lot of knowledge and he is happy to share it.
Trees, grass, the color green, mud and pleasant temperatures.... Hell yeah, I'm following this series for sure. I mean, I do follow all of them but this will be a special treat. Can't wait for more.
That forest you guys are stomping through and hugging the moss covered deadfall, looks like a diet version of the forests we have in our back yard in the Pacific NW of Oregon. The Northern Oregon Coast Range, and the Northern Oregon Cascade Range are very very thick with moss, ferns and tall trees. Awesome camping and trail riding in both.
As usual, a great video clip to watch - the countryside in Barrington tops so beautiful and lush; further enjoyed the Drifter Brand's alternative to a fire/cooking unit, with everyone shown, sitting around the setup. Anyway, a small thing - at one part, you showed Wayne's roof top setup, where Wayne made the comments about requiring two sleeping bags to keep warm. Over my own family's long years camping, inclusive in Winter, I ended up ditching the sleeping bags, in favour of high end quilts, that are (we think!) warmer, besides cosy, lightweight, and also packs down just as well as sleeping bags, if not better. Recently, we did a trip out through the remote parts of Queensland, checking out dinosaur country etc, our family using a modest canvas touring tent. Anticipating cold, we just prior bought an additional quilt via an Australian online business, called 'Supreme Quilts' which was not only very affordable, but gave us the option of getting a very warm quilt to suit very cold conditions (have daughters who are very sensitive to cold weather!). Anyway, great video as always, and my husband and I who typically like to get up and watch the latest Ronny Dahl clip on an early Sunday morning, can't wait for you guys to traverse over the Simpson. What a great country we live in, with so many beautiful and interesting places! All the best!
Funny, all the stuff we take for granted here on the US west coast, snow/ice, 5Km high mountains, moss, tall conifers and I'd be blown away by seeing the WA kinda of landscape in person. Great video!
ha ha..nice trip. we have 35C in northeast US and you have winter...and in 6 months we'll have blizzards and i'll be watching you drive trough the desert at 40C and dream about Australia.... that being said minus 5C is not cold for new englanders. some guys still wearing shorts when it s that cold here. wish we could buy all those diesel toyotas ...we'll send you all the thirsty gas v8 instead.
Today's Gas price in Perth Aust is $5.20 a gallon. So diesel is more economical for big 4wd's. Diesel costs a little more $5.50 a gallon but still way more economical. Our prices are up and down everyday it's ridiculous.
Surprising similarity to the type of landscape we have here in the UK. Including the slick tracks. That said, it does rain 412 days a year here :) Cracking video Ronny.
Malcom Naden didn't spend all seven years he was on the run in the Barrington Tops, he spent a fair bit of time down around Dubbo in the Zoo and unused farm cottages
Hi Ronny Dahl & Team Extreme, How long ago did you do this trip?. Glad you got to see and experience this amazing part of our great country. Am feeling a little disappointed I missed meeting you in persons. I live in Toormina (next to Sawtell; which I hope you got to see also) a southern suburb of Coffs Harbour. :) I love the surrounding hinterland here.
Over the last few weeks here on the East coast of the US, we've been baking in Summer's heat. Some days, it's near 40C..just unbearable with the inbound ocean breeze bringing in humidity! And I live in the northern-most part of the sub-tropical zone. You have frost & ice now, we have heat so hot, people are baking cookies on their dashboards of their vehicles! 0_o
G'Day Ronny! Love the channel. Mate can you do a video on cost/ logistics of transporting 4x4s across the country? I live on the east coast and would love to explore W.A but time is a major factor...... 👍🍻🤙
Good fun! All vehicles are v8 cruisers, my question is would a reasonably standard d4d hilux do these trips? Cruisers are out of reach for a lot of people who would still like to get out there and tour around.
We are watching your videos from Europe where we've got 14 hours of daylight in the moment. Really enjoying your adventures 👍 Maybe you should think about switching your name to RONNY DARK. While you are so many times arrive at night😁 Really looking forward to the next videos.
The day you do a Vic High Country Video in the snow season Im locking the doors, taking the phone off the hook. To be honest, i do prefer the NSW High Country for the tablelands and alpine grasses

That’s not a opossum, more like a drop bear! 🤪 awesome looking trip.
That forest does indeed look much like the East and Midwest of the USA. Great video! Can't wait to see what happens with that mud bog!
Fantastic location looks like great fun, can’t wait for the next one.
( Coast2coast mounts)
Wow, what a beautiful place to camp.
I just love Luke’s setup at the braai.
Love the new radio chat footage you're showing! Really good way of doing it
You guys need to get to Colorado and drive Black Bear Pass around 4000 meters above sea level.
Funny, all the stuff we take for granted here on the US west coast, snow/ice, 5Km high mountains, moss, tall conifers and I'd be blown away by seeing the WA kinda of landscape in person.

Right. Guess I'll settle for my 3.5L Tacoma haha

Another masterpiece....love it.
For info: That mousse on the dead tree trunk, makes for good healing on wounds.
Good team with the legendary "Luke".👍
The fire pit/cooking arrangement is really cool. You should do a video on it.
Michael Hite yeah I couldn’t quite catch the name of it...
Another great video. Hey Ronny just an idea could you date your trips? Even just Apr 2018 or whatever would be great.
A pleasure watching, as always :)
Surprising similarity to the type of landscape we have here in the UK. Including the slick tracks. That said, it does rain 412 days a year here :)

Good job
you want cold? I go camping at -35C....canvas tent and wood stove sure...just don't let the stove go out.

G'Day Ronny! Love the channel. Mate can you do a video on cost/ logistics of transporting 4x4s across the country? I live on the east coast and would love to explore W.A but time is a major factor......
👍🍻🤙
35" tires MT tires and caution like with AT SUV :)
Watching your breath show winter as we in British Columbia are facing mid 30’s and a fire ban.
Good fun! All vehicles are v8 cruisers, my question is would a reasonably standard d4d hilux do these trips? Cruisers are out of reach for a lot of people who would still like to get out there and tour around.
EXPDTN more than capable mate
Looks a lot like here in B.C.
ronny can you do a parabolic spring review. I see all utes have them they must be good
Annoying ending Ronnie - but I enjoyed it a lot !!!!
As a Canadian, I still get shocked when Aussies say they've never seen snow.
We are watching your videos from Europe where we've got 14 hours of daylight in the moment. Really enjoying your adventures 👍 Maybe you should think about switching your name to RONNY DARK. While you are so many times arrive at night😁 Really looking forward to the next videos.
Can you share what that campfire set up is?
Ronny Dahl, I apologies if this is a repeat question. Do you have any plans to do any Overlanding in the USA?
I hope nothing broke on some of our brutal Coffs Coast tracks Ronny
Can you give us info/prices on how your mates Trucked their 4wds to the East Coast please Rhony ?
I need to send mine to Darwin soon !
The company we used were not good at all. We are looking at others currently for future trips. Will do something on it once we have experienced them.
I must be getting too old because just looking cold like that makes my joints ache....
Wait, I’ve been lied to all this time, it gets freezing cold in Australia. What about the sun beaches.😁😂
26:50 That's why I always drive mine like it is someone else's. Lol
Yay!
The day you do a Vic High Country Video in the snow season
Im locking the doors, taking the phone off the hook.
To be honest, i do prefer the NSW High Country for the tablelands and alpine grasses
