- Chris Cornell was the reason I started singing. He's had a profound influence on my singing and songwriting, and to honor his life and genius, I wanted to do something special.
I used to scream along to this song as a teenager until I blew out my voice. The way Chris hit such incredibly high notes with so much power absolutely blew my mind. The first time I heard "Say Hello to Heaven," I knew I wanted to do "THAT." So, here's my version of Temple of the Dog's "Say Hello to Heaven."
Each layer to this song was a complete take, including the vocals. There's no pitch correction or fixing.
I hope this does the original some justice. RIP, Chris.

I remember watching Voice in 2016 and thought you must win it and that a label would snap you up, with album and tours to follow etc. Such vocal talents are rare in the music industry today. Ryan, I recall when Soundgarden first began to have their songs played on the radio and how much I loved their sound. I am not the type of fan that knows all the stats about the members of the band, but I do recognize great artists. Which brings me to you. I saw you sing "Can't find my way home" on a RUclips video of the Voice about a week ago, and was very moved by it. I have listened to it many times. You have a great voice Ryan. Now share your life and experiences with the world through lyrics that lay your heart open to the world. This seems to be what connects people to great artists, the feeling connection they have to what the artist is singing about, and the energy that flows through the song. You have the talent, so much of it. follow your intuition on how to best express it.

Ryan Quinn no prob. Happy to say it. I still love your “can’t find my way home”. Voice audition. That went immediately to my favorites. I love the range. You can hit the high notes buttery smooth or a little growly. Your midrange is just as perfect and I suspect you can sing some lower register stuff too. Because If memory serves you have a deep speaking voice. Until last night I only knew the audition but I’ve begun scratched the surface and I’m thrilled with what I’m finding. I’m really digging your choices. Hopefully in the age of you tube and stuff artist like your self will be able to produce and release music you feel good about and not have to release 5 albums of junk that some label contracted you to make.
