Given that filters for my shopvac are like $30 and that thing's only $60, I think I might actually be crazy to not get one... To Lowes! ...this weekend!! ....after SMC!!!
I watched another of your videos today in which you compared the Oneida Low Pro with the Dustopper Pro. If I remember correctly, the Ondida had a bit better airflow than the Dusttopper. We have a Home Depot where l,, but no Lowes. Do you think I will be okay with the Dusttopper Pro?
They both get the job done.. it’s all in preference and what store you like.. if you don’t like to order online (there is a link below the video to order one) I’m glad you enjoyed the videos today.
The tape for static electricity is to keep you from blowing up your shop ....Static electricity 'sparks' and when you have dry super fine dust it can explode or catch fire! You might not notice smoldering until it is too late.
Great video buddy! Hey! How exactly is a rainbow made? How exactly does a sun set? How exactly does a posi-trac rear-end on a Plymouth work? It just does. Life's a garden, just dig it!💪💪💪
I can see a lot of room for improvement for this thing. It's basically a cyclone mechanism but having it in a separate bucket causes loss of suction power as you demonstrated with a lot of the loss due to the hose between the shop vac and the external bucket. Why not make the cyclone separator 'lid' fit onto the shop vac itself? This does mean the shop vac filter will need to be replaced with a much smaller filter so it does not get in the way but considering the cyclone mechanism is able to filter out 99% of the crud that is vacuumed up that should not be a problem. This is something shop vac manufacturers could easily do but they probably don't because they want to force the consumer to buy more filters and also to keep the manufacturing costs absolutely rock bottom even though ot does not really add much to the overall cost. Hmmm, I have an old shop vac sitting around...might modify it and try making something along those lines. It would definitely be more compact and less fiddly to not have an extra bucket and hose to contend with!
I don't get something about this, and I've seen it on reviews of a few different models .... WHY include the seal separately? It's not like it has to be custom cut to fit your bucket. It's fit on the item that they put in that box. What benefit is there to have the customer install the seal? While it's not something THAT difficult, it's certainly a spot where mistakes can easily be made and cause extra traffic between them and the end user, when it could be done at the factory and caught by QC...
I’m not sure why they do that.. I see you commented about the same thing on another one of my videos.. I hope you enjoyed them. Putting the seal on really is easy, but I’m not sure why it’s not just put on from the factory already.. I’m sure it’s to keep the cost down.

I like it. Are those 2.5 inch hoses? Can you get hoses at Lowe’s?
Those hoses come with shop vacs and you can get them from the home stores.
