Yes, but the original Countach is a much sleeker car; I like both versions, but I prefer the original classic no-addons version of the car.
Yeah, the lp400 is just glorious.
The second best version would be the series 1 LP400s with no wing from 1978. The perfect compromise between the purity of the original and the flamboyance of this model (the last good looking one).
Later models (even the beloved qv and 5000) look worse, and the anniversary edition is an abomination

I remember seeing one of these in a mall in Montreal back in 1980 as a 15 yr old. What struck me was how small it was.

What a coincidence. Kennan's curves makes me angular.
I think the use of curves with the wedge design just make the Countach more gorgeous. If it was just all wedge and slight lines (like the Lotus Esprit of the era), it would not have been at pretty as it is. And I for one like the roundbelly version with the wheel arch flares - just like Doug's model. For me that is my perfect spec (though in red, white comes a very close second).

I highly doubt there is much (if any) heat transfer from that oil line to the air intake.
