Great choice Brian! I would not build anything permanent so to not minimise the space, maybe just a removable table and leave the rest modular as needed in each trip. Also meadow won’t feel too constricted. Enjoy!

Nice M1; nice design and quality construction. Enjoy it! After years of "truck cap camping" I moved up to a pop top camper. Only took a few days to realize how nice to have a bed always ready, ability to stand up, and the option to hang out & sit comfortably.

Yep, 100% looks like exactly what I need. I ordered one and will be installed in January, aluminum sides only, king size expansion, no insulation package, no heat, no solar, but that bedrug looks like a good idea for comfort and insulation. Also a subfloor with storage underneath - will make a review when the time comes, thanks for the video!

That’s really much nicer than I had thought, I see now that the lower part is sturdy metal w/ glass & hard, ( for safety) I was concerned that it was soft & would be easy to slice open. Happy for u & Meadow.

Hello Brian and Meadow! Welcome back to the mobile life! And, welcome back to Colorado! Your timing is awesome with the leaves turning now! Whoaaa,,,what an awesome rig! Congratulations! I really like the 2 levels. And, to be able to stand up is priceless! Our 2 week trip got cut short to a week due to some plumbing leaks. The parts a=ived yesterday, so I should be able to get it fixed today. And, now I have a few pex water pipe repair tools, for the future! I did make reservations to camp down in Tucson from mid January to mid March! I will just airline back to CO to fly my boss when ever. Plus, the plane will be in its annual maintenance for 3 of those weeks-ish.
I'm thoroughly impressed with the M1, you all knocked it out of the park with this design! I think it looks great on my Tacoma. I'm editing for the next day or two then we'll be jamming down to Southern Colorado to hang out with some friends, fly fish, and 4 wheel. Look forward to sharing more adventures from inside the M1!
Love it. If you had room, there are companies that make a wood bench that slides open into a lounger or chair. Some have room for storage underneath. Really nice, might be too wide ? You should check them out online. You can also do a swing table that fits into the floor. Easy to set up and remove. Absolutely love that area you were camping at. Beautiful
Definitely looking forward to seeing what you think long term I’m planning on going this route in 1-1.5 years once I pick up a gladiator or end up back in a Tacoma. This Tune M1 definitely has me excited with the added space the bump outs provide I have looked at a lot of the same styles and just didn’t see worth it for price and space on a short bed mid size truck this seems to be a game changer !!
I'm kinda surprised at how much additional room is provided by the bump outs. It's much more spacious inside than I anticipated. I agree, this is a game changer for me!

Just came across your channel. Great stuff. I just spent a week going through South Dakota and Colorado. Seeing all the rigs and doing some camping and hiking has me juiced to find something other than a tent. This rig looks like the ticket.

She’s adapted really well and it’s so much better not coming home to emptiness. I didn’t want to do a dog since they need so much more attention and a cat likes their me time. I love that camper!! It wouldn't work for me in Canada since i get minus 40 so i would def need something hard all around with a proper furnace or wood stove, but man it's pretty and i love that it's light!!! One question I don't think you answered, do the windows lock so people walking by can't just pop em open like you were? Obviously the way you had them is great for your current use but if you're staying in a busier area or at a campground having those beautiful windows locking would be a good safety measure! I have been thinking of doing a truck with the bed camper (i suck at reversing with a trailer) and doing a nomad type lifestyle with that. I know they're not as nice or as easy to carry as this but they def have perks for my location, even if i travel with the canadian weather I NEED heat in winter... I need a bathroom (IBS) and a shower since no way to shower outside in minus 40 LOL I don't need to shower every day or anything but with the weather i def need to be able to do all the things inside bc you often can't outrun the weather in snow storms and I don't want to spend a lot of time in the cities just to use a gym membership to shower either... I would switch to a composting toilet (had one in my old house and think it was magic!!!) I LOVE all the windows you have even with the flap ones closed! It is so perfect to see exactly what's going on around you and to enjoy the scenery while still having privacy! Those windows are spectacular! The fact that they're so blacked out that you could literally be naked in a parking lot inside and no one would see you is an amazing plus!!! I donno how much light they actually let in (obviously you can see but i mean like UV etc) but it would be awesome to see you get a plant or two just for fun! Even if it was a little herb garden hahah!!! All those windows it feels like a shame to not have at least one plant to test the windows out! hehehe Congrats!!! Can't wait to see your videos in it esp since its already cooling off!!

I would make a couch along the back of the truck bed with one of those swivel tables attached to the side for food and editing. You and Meadow can step on to the couch to get into bed. Put the fridge and battery under it. I would use hanging pouches to store stuff so you keep the living space open. Really nice. It will make camping so much nicer. Little set up. A diesel heater will be great!
Yeah, I'm kicking around a few ideas and definitely want to do some sort of couch lounge seating space. I love this camper, it's completely changed my experience on the road!
Had to pause at Meadow pushing the rocks LOL Is her Paw all better now that she is using it so well? She is so cute! Also I think maybe she is moving the rocks bc she has seen you moving the rocks to create the water run off diversion things! It looks like she is trying to copy you (though i assume you don't use both hands and hop back and forth ahhah)! I am just guessing that the rocks are a learnt behaviour from all the rock work you do! Kinda cool if she can show you the rocks that are easy to move and you can load them up though!!!
Hoping to get into quite a bit of snow this winter! The windows are single pane so you'll want to have a good, dry heat source to avoid condensation buildup. The glass is pretty thick, I'll measure it to see what it clocks in at. Definitely a great design!
That looks awesome! There is one major thing that you did not show in the video. How do you secure the camper when you are in town to prevent anyone from getting into the windows? Do the windows have individual locks?
DOH, I don't know what I was thinking calling those browns! Definitely Colorado river cutts, I've only landed these a few times so it's awesome to know of a spot where they roam!

I actually had a really good 4 hour rainstorm on Monday here at the cabin and it did great! No leaks at all and the pop up dried out pretty quickly once the rain stopped.

That looks awesome! There is one major thing that you did not show in the video. How do you secure the camper when you are in town to prevent anyone from getting into the windows? Do the windows have individual locks?
Whoops! Yes, there are locks for the all the windows.
Velcro the Bedrug to the walls so that you can remove it if you need to. My husband did that and it worked great!

DOH, I don't know what I was thinking calling those browns! Definitely Colorado river cutts, I've only landed these a few times so it's awesome to know of a spot where they roam!

Very impressive! Love luxury, but still being able to go back on 4WD roads. Any idea how it would do in wet weather? Would rain be an issue?
I actually had a really good 4 hour rainstorm on Monday here at the cabin and it did great! No leaks at all and the pop up dried out pretty quickly once the rain stopped.
Hi Brian and Meadow . That camper looks really good on your truck. i know yall will have some fun times in that. Do your side windows lock on the inside so no one can open your windows while yall are sleeping. How will you heat in this camper for the winter.
