I'm conflicted, I want an srt8 for the looks and dat hemi, but at the same time I want a gt because of the better gas mileage and they keep smoking srt's...both around the same price range so what do u recommend?
I would recommend the G8 hands down no hate against the Hemi SRT8 I love the charger an 300 but the G8 gt is the winner price money and performance.. I've been walking the r/t chargers an 300s since day one.. Find a good mileage G8 GT or GXP within your budget and begin your kill list lol

lol ha funny they don't always smoke srt8s that's a damn lie. when my srt8 was fully stock & i raced stock g8's i only lost twice out of 8 races due to too much wheel spin on the 245 45 20 tires. so idk where you got that from lol
SRT8 425 HP 420 lbs. torque G8 GXP 415 HP 415 lbs . Torgue. Weight is within 200 lbs of each other. Depends on the driver but i will take my hemi 6.1 any day over that chevy junk. When mine was stock i whipped several G8GXP easy!! Now that mine is a 426 6.1 running that junk is a joke. Remember they CANNOT top out a SRT8. They will not go 180 MPH. No matter what you will run that chevy junk down. HEMI is the only motor NASCAR said DONT BRING BACK!!! No other car company can say that of their motors!

Jus Thotlord 777 i haven't had many problems with the trans! I know at higher hp the trans becomes a issue but more power good trans tune be fine up to 500+hp

+jnj2909 yes no problems at all... If you are looking i would try to find the lowest miles within your budget.. I know that G8 has several recalls, known issues but in all I believe it's a really reliable car... Lifters would be 1 concern with a higher mileage G8 but with cam DoD delete you would be replacing all those components anyway if that is something you are looking to do down the road with your car

Not poorly made just average performance that didn’t really age well
