Hi! It's been over six weeks since you last posted a video and I hope all is well with you and yours. I am so looking forward to seeing your interesting and inspiring videos regularly again. Please don't stop making videos. You have a unique creative advice/encouraging voice and a high-quality video production style that is wonderful to see on such a new youtube channel as yours.
Thank you for showing us how it's possible to have everything you need in a small space. I craft in a small corner and found when I have more space I tend to lose items and really forget what I own. Thanks again for sharing.
I really enjoyed your wall! I work with clients who are overwhelmed in their spaces. Your share is perfect to demonstrate that you can turn any space into a creative one! And the least used items in your closet, work perfectly. Great video, thanks!!
Love, love love your craft space, organization and videos! Your daughter is adorable too 😊 cutting up those large ikea drawer organizer? BRILLIANT! You blew my mind! 🤣
This is one of the most helpful videos I've watched. I love the way you use your space and easy, practical solutions. It is organized much in the way I was thinking. I was hedging on the Alex unit for under my desk, but the way you have used it is exactly what I need for the rest of my storage solutions. Thank you very much.
Hi Kerry. This video popped up again and I decided to re-watch. Thanks so much. 😊🇨🇦 PS, where have you been? I miss your common sense crafting and organizing tips. Take care. 😊
Hi Kerry! I love your videos. You have so many great ideas. I’ve been making art, sewing, stamping and crafting for over 50 years and I still learn new things. Now if I could just stop “collecting“! I love that you include your kids in your space. I’ve got four kids, all adults now, and two grandkids and it’s so much fun to craft with them. I didn’t know that Michaels had alcohol markers. I’ll have to check them out for my grandkids. They’re 10 and 12 so they should be old enough. Again, thanks for an informative video!
Aww thank you, Mardi!! Yes, so fun to have supplies the kids can do whatever with! We have the artist loft brand from michaels, but there’s so many more great affordable options on the market now. I’d look into the ohuhu brand. Some of the brush tips on the artist loft have not held up to use over the years.
Your space is so organised. Wish I had seen this when I started card making 10 years ago. I only have a corner in the spare room but have way to much stuff. I too do my die cutting on the floor as my desk never has any room.
Absolutely love your video. I have saved this a my #1 organization video! The price point is right and it’s simple but SO useful for crafting. I believe in a space such as this my mind won’t be so cluttered and the creative can flow freely. Glad I stumbled upon this before moving into our new home! I have time to plan!
This is brilliant - thanks for taking the time to do it. I've just moved house and now have a shared space as well. I have the same Alex drawers as you! I have been looking for how to organise their insides and you have so many great ideas - t hanks!
A big desk was way too expensive, so I got two of those 4 cube storage units, one on sale and one used! Found a piece of plywood on clearance at the wood store, and topped it with contact paper. Big enough for crafting and well under $100!
I loooove this video and it's going to be the first in my SCB'22 folder 😘 TFS My scraproom is out of control because I've been battling post partum depression and anxiety since my daugther was born 💪🏻 Now that she's 6, I'm feeling a lot better and she's starting to ask questions about Scrapbooking (that's the best part), I'll be cleaning and reorganizing eveything to have fun with her 💖
That is such a rough battle. It’s amazing how much our bodies go through during pregnancy and postpartum, including all the hormone shifts that affect us so intensely for so long. That’s awesome your little is restarting your excitement for scrapbooking! Good luck with your space and let the organizing part be fun, too! Thanks for watching 😘
So I just moved out of a 3 bedroom house with a livable basement that was my craft area into a one bedroom apartment where my dining area is used for my craft space - this set up is perfect I am so glad I watched this video
Yay! So glad this helped, that’s a big change for your space. Good luck with the whole moving in and setting up process. Just survived that myself😂 thanks for watching!
Nicely done. I started making cards and still do, but have been doing journals and albums. It is amazing the amount of stuff you collect or think you need.
It really is a process thinking through each product genre one by one and finding what works best for you. Thanks for watching, Linda! Good luck in your organizing.
Hello Kerry, I have a craft wall room too, with a large cupboard which I use to limit spending & not get overwhelmed by my stash. I love finding odd things at fairs, thrift shops & my kitchen, to repurpose for storage. One of the best places is office closings - old paper dividers etc. what do you make in 4 bar size?
What a wonderful way to limit your stash! I bet you have such a fun array of containers then! Sometimes I’ll make my thank you cards in a 4 bar size or I’ll do little gift packs of cards for family, friends, teachers in 4 bar size.
@@inkhillrevival289 Yes, I do, mostly Ikea Variera. Re the gift packs, I'll change my custom size to 4 bar, thank you. How many cards per gift pack do you prefer? And what weight of paper do you recommend for making the matching envelopes please?
@@craftcreek4624 I do 5 per pack, but I’ve always bought the 4 bar envelopes rather than making them. I’d think anything lighter weight than cardstock would work well. I’ve used patterned paper that’s somewhere between printer paper weight and 65 lb cardstock successfully for odd sized envelopes in the past.
The whole time I was watching your video I was thinking that if you had a Cricut, or even just a Joy, you could save space and time making cards and labels with one or the other, but it’s great that you have your amazing craft wall and space for your kids to craft, too. I have a studio apartment and don’t have a designated craft area because of lack of space. You’re fortunate to have what you have. Enjoy!
Thank you! I’ve never used an electronic cutting machine, I tend towards not wanting to get on the computer while I’m making, but I definitely see the benefit. Do you use a Cricut? What do you love about it even beyond speed and space savings?
@@inkhillrevival289 I have a Cricut and a Joy. I haven’t used them as much as I’d like,to, but I like, that you can make labels, as well as cards for every occasion.
Hey Kerry, Great to see you. I love your kids craft with you. We just bought our 11 yr old a wide rolling cart for Christmas in filled it with new and items he had. I love it. I never even organized mine. lol. I told him use it, or I’ll use it. He had a mix of younger kid things n adult things too. Wish I could show you. I used mostly container store things. Not cheap but I wanted it to match n the cheaper stores were out of most things for the holidays. It looks nice. He has to keep it that way tho. He likes to collect things to use too. Lol.
H Great video! Organization really depends on how much stuff you have and how much room too.. I always struggle with category organization of dies and stamps. The stamps, especially because they come in all different sizes depending on the manufacturer.
It’s so true, quantity makes a huge difference in what will work best for you. Oh yes, categorizing is tricky! My largest stamps that don’t fit with the others aren’t even categorized at all. This is when I think a digital record for categorizing (like air table) really shines.
Wonderful video, thank you for showing your craft room. Needless to say, my craft room looks not at all like yours. Although I have done quite some organizing, my collecting is the result of many years. I am starting to create more and more, and that feels great. I am also collecting less and less, feels also fantastic! So thank you for sharing all your ideas, I feel another organizing moment coming 😉👍
Most have been the way they are long enough, I know which is which. But the filming equipment I’m always opening all three drawers, I should label those ones since they’re new 😆 I don’t love the look of labeling furniture so I’d probably just keep a sticky note label for a time til I learned it. Or labeling on the inside lip of these drawers where the pull out notch is would be a great happy medium. Thanks for watching!
Your craft room and organisation look like mine. So pleasant to craft in such a space, isn't it ? I have a question about your "all kind of pen and marker" by colour strorage. IS the vertical position OK for some markers ? Don't they dry fast ? Some are recommended to be horizontaly kept. It is bothering me because I prefer vertical storage. So, I am glad to ask you your experience on that. Thanks for sharing the video 🌼
You know it hasn’t seemed to be much of an issue for me, although I originally didn’t even know marker storage position was a thing. I have had one marker dry out oddly early-a memento water-based marker but I had a single black marker from that line, so not sure if it was a dud. If a brand says not to store vertically we’d probably be wise not to, but I’m so many years in lol so I’ve just chosen not to look up my markers’ “rules” 😂
I TOTALLY die cut on the floor! When I know I'm doing any diecutting on a project, I put my Big Shot Plus on the floor next to my desk chair. All I do is turn and bend down to cut so I don't have to leave my desk and maximize creative desk space!
I love all your storage. Thank you for sharing with us. At the beginning you showed your storage for in progress projects. I love those, can you tell me where you got those?
Hello Kerry! Love this video, you always remind me to be practical 😂. I, too, have a baby and craft with all three of my kids, and now we have to move our craft room out into the dining/family room because I am moving my mom from our second floor. I have all of my stuff fit in an Ikea Hemnes secretary desk with a hutch, and is sure is keeping my supplies limited! I love it! The only problem I have now is I’m getting addicted to hot foiling, lol. If you’re still in WA state, the Daiso in Federal Way is waaay bigger than the one in Chinatown and Renton. God bless!
Thank you!! That would keep your stash quite limited, looks like a great storage option 😂😂 oh hot foiling, I haven’t opened up that can of worms… yet! And thanks for the Daiso tip, I’m down in the south sound area now so that’s actually my closest Daiso-hadn’t even realized it. We used to be up in Bellevue right by that Daiso. Thanks for the tip!
I love all of your organization…BUT storing all the coloring pens, markers and pencils…🤯🤯🤯 I think I’m going to do that!!! Thanks Kerry! I’m so inspired and I just reorganized!😂
Yay! Haha there can always be more organizing…We moved in to our new place just 4 months ago and I’ve already reorganized the kitchen. Thanks for watching, Cindy!
This is I think the closest to what I'm looking for to any other craft room organization I've seen. I'm not super into card making, but I've been trying to watch a lot of craft room organization for ideas for my mishmash craft room/guestroom. I like to sew, lots of fiber arts, vinyl cutting, iron-ons, etc. My interests are varied. I actually hate things like peg boards. Seeing everything out gives me anxiety, and I'm not even a super cleanly neat person. But you had a lot less open storage and I can totally relate to the kid craft space and safety latches. I have 3 kids under 5. I keep wishing I was near an Ikea for those drawers! Not worth it to order online unless we have a massive order since we live 4-5 hours away. And even further from a daiso😭. I'll have to prioritize going to one next year when we visit my in-laws. It was just so busy this last time.
I love this. Its exactly what i need to do to organize my craft/grandkids room. I should have ordered the white storage bins yesterday. Now they are out of stock. Anyone have an alternative place to order
Wonderful! Don’t worry that you missed it being in stock, Daiso constantly has items go out of stock then back in stock. I slowly collected my baskets there over the years. You could call customer service to find out the wait time. Or these look like a really great choice from target (they’re 1/2” less wide and 1” longer): www.target.com/p/12-34-x-6-34-x-4-34-all-purpose-storage-1-2-storage-bin-brightroom-8482/-/A-83279865
I couldn’t find this same one there anymore, but they’ve got other table top size ones like a cute one with ears. I’ve put that one in the laundry room for lint.
Thank you! I have stored my inks vertically on their sides for years with no problems or leaking. Although I live in a temperate climate, not hot like Brazil. I’m not sure if temperature makes a difference. You may want to experiment by storing just one on its side for awhile and see how it does.
Obrigada!
Hi Kerry. Thanks for sharing another great video!!! I am ever trying organize AND reorganize my space and you’ve offered good ideas! What was the gray “sheet” you used to label and divide your stamp pockets? I’ve used poly file folders from a Jennifer McGuire tip but can’t find the color any longer.
Hi Erika, thank you! The grey dividers are just heavy weight cardstock from Michaels cut down and corners rounded. I’d always intended to laminate them and print labels, but they’ve lasted for years in their unfinished state, sticky note labels and all 🤷🏻♀️
Oooops - sorry - just watched that section again and heard you say Michaels - I was just so excited to see it the first time, totally spaced on what you said! I have so many little stamps in so many places and forget where each one is - this will be a game changer!!!
😂 oh good, I’m so glad it’ll help! Here’s a link to the exact product: www.michaels.com/no-spill-craft-storage-organizer-by-simply-tidy/10468278.html Also almost everything is linked in the description if there’s anything else. ❤️
If I only had the tiniest space to put something up. But no! We live in a small flat and there is no space for me… the only table we have is the dining table… a glass one… so whatever I do there is wobbly and also needs to be put away for meals. So thank you for making me even more jealous…🥴
Hi Jennifer, totally get that! So my favorite inks have been versafine onyx black for fine details and the my favorite things inks. But… I haven’t bought inks in years (besides distress oxides, which I only use for ink blending) so I don’t know if my favorite thing’s formulation has changed. I prefer that the mft ink stamps crisp and solid right away rather than the slow spreading inks like hero arts and Simon says stamp. Also people seem to absolutely love the new foam pads instead of traditional felt pads. I haven’t tried them, but Catherine Pooler, Concord & 9th, Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated, and Pigment Craft Co (I think) all use foam pads. They’re supposed to be fantastic for solid stamping, but they do require reinking more often. You might consider testing out one of each of these three types or just buy the one that you’re most interested in to try out before getting more colors. Also remember to notice if the brand of ink is waterproof or water reactive, if that matters to you. Also don’t worry about mixing brands, I’ve done that plenty to get a particular color I loved. I’m a huge fan of Concord and 9th and Pigment Craft Co’s color range, if I get more inks that’s where I’m looking first.
Aww I’m so glad to hear that! Thanks, Teresa! Lol lots of purging before moving this past summer, here’s the video about it ruclips.net/video/NXjM7NnVt9Q/видео.html
Oh that’s a pain, yep I’d never want to be dealing with a stool or ladder either. I’m only 5’3”, but we hung the shelf low enough for me to reach. You could go even lower too, I just had to keep it high enough for my filming lights, too. Thanks for watching, Nancy!

So glad some of these ideas work for your space! Such a pain to be far, but it’ll be worth the wait to get what you really want 🙌
Omg!!! I needed to see this so badly because my craft room is a total disaster! Thank u for this!
Hi Marney!! You’re so busy with all your beautiful coloring 😉 totally worth the mess!
Or these look like a really great choice from target (they’re 1/2” less wide and 1” longer): www.target.com/p/12-34-x-6-34-x-4-34-all-purpose-storage-1-2-storage-bin-brightroom-8482/-/A-83279865
Thank you for the ideas!
You bet, thanks for watching!❤️
I literally just changed my ink storage to the same organizers!
😂 that’s awesome! Can’t beat a dollar for ink storage.
Great ideas, I may have to replace my $1 store kids beach pail with that cute trash can from Daiso!
I couldn’t find this same one there anymore, but they’ve got other table top size ones like a cute one with ears. I’ve put that one in the laundry room for lint.
Hope you are doing OK. Miss your videos.
Thanks for another great video
Thanks, Nicolle!
Great setup and yes I diecut on the floor too! Lol
🙌🙌 thanks so much, Belinda!
😍
I’d always intended to laminate them and print labels, but they’ve lasted for years in their unfinished state, sticky note labels and all 🤷🏻♀️
I hope all is well your latest video is 2 years old. Miss you
May i ask - where did you get your 26 slot clear organizer??? It is brilliant for storing alphabet stamps!!!
Oooops - sorry - just watched that section again and heard you say Michaels - I was just so excited to see it the first time, totally spaced on what you said! I have so many little stamps in so many places and forget where each one is - this will be a game changer!!!
😂 oh good, I’m so glad it’ll help! Here’s a link to the exact product: www.michaels.com/no-spill-craft-storage-organizer-by-simply-tidy/10468278.html
Also almost everything is linked in the description if there’s anything else. ❤️
@@inkhillrevival289 Excellent - thanks so much for the link!!!! Unfortunately my store doesn't have one in stock - but I'lll find it!!!
Where did you find the white baskets on the upper shelf? Thanks K8
Daiso! Here’s the exact product: www.daisojapan.com/p-30983-basket-66-x-109-x-h46-in-10pks.aspx
If I only had the tiniest space to put something up. But no! We live in a small flat and there is no space for me… the only table we have is the dining table… a glass one… so whatever I do there is wobbly and also needs to be put away for meals. So thank you for making me even more jealous…🥴
Ugh! It’s amazing though how you can make it work when you love a hobby.
Miss your videos. Hope you’re well.
Would like to know what kind of ink you like? There are so many I can't get them all.
IKEA and DAISO; solving art and craft studio problems worldwide! 😂
You got that right! They are the BEST!! Thanks for the laugh😘
I always take away great information from your videos. I think it's important to know yourself. Btw... what is this purging you speak of?!
Aww I’m so glad to hear that! Thanks, Teresa! Lol lots of purging before moving this past summer, here’s the video about it ruclips.net/video/NXjM7NnVt9Q/видео.html
Wish I had a Daiso by me I like their stuff better than dollar tree
Aww I know, I definitely do too. Since moving, I’m no longer just down the road from Daiso, but at least I’m still in the same state as Daiso 🤣
You must be a lot taller than I am. Those overhead shelves just do not work for me. And no, I cannot get up on a small ladder.
Oh that’s a pain, yep I’d never want to be dealing with a stool or ladder either. I’m only 5’3”, but we hung the shelf low enough for me to reach. You could go even lower too, I just had to keep it high enough for my filming lights, too. Thanks for watching, Nancy!
Get a paper rack
Clutterbug Bee
That obvious?😂
So…..are you in the basement or a bedroom……?
Bedroom in the video… we just moved from our last house where it was in the basement for years, but we plopped the same set up into our bedroom here.
