What I would really like to know is how this setup would work with either your PDI intake and bullydog exhaust manifolds or the bullydog intake and exhaust manifolds. Bullydog seems to be the only ones making an exhaust manifold that will hook up to the egr cooler.

Does that still have the def system on it I do a lot of work for a peterbilt body shop and they’ve been building a lot of new custom 389’s with 8 inch stacks but there dummy stacks there not even hooked up to the exhaust system witch seems kinda silly to spend that kind of money on stainless stacks that are just for looks
I'm not normally one to complain but my x15 is running at 605hp now. I can't see spending time and money for only 57 more HP. Do you have anything to bump one up from 605 to 750-800hp?
Not sure where you saw 57 HP.. In this video it shows a gain of 124 HP and 476 lb ft Torque. This is all going to the wheels. So if you add the % of loss through the drive train that is roughly 725-750 HP at the flywheel. Give us a call if you'd like more info sir. 1-800-511-1231
The CX15 Performance Series is rated at 565hp and 2059ft pounds of torque. 2018yr and 2017yr at 550hp and 1850ft pounds of torque... single turbo. I get this info from Peterbilt Steve
Thats just the way that dealer orders them because its cheaper than getting the 605hp. But those numbers that they give you are power at the flywheel, the numbers in this video is what this truck puts to the ground after about a 20% loss through the drive train.

You never say what the factory horsepower and torque figures were, must have been a 1850 torque rating, how is his driveline going to handle 300 more pounds of torque ?
Most 1850-2050 Torque clutches will work just fine. We do build a 2450 torque clutch for customers when it comes time to replace one. It is designed for the heavy torque load.
I just can imagine having the X-15 Performance series engine rated @ 605Hp coupled with an 18 speed Roadranger gearbox in a Kenworth T610 SAR (Australian model) then do the PDI Big Boss upgrades... Horsepower and torque wiill be through the roof !!! For now, I'd keep saving up $$$ as a company driver.

With just the PDI Big Boss Tuner it will give two power level options above stock. The Economy level is a 10% and the Power is a 15% increase in HP/Torque over the engine's stock file.
They both have their pro's and con's. We prefer the X15 Cummins, but Detroit has great reliability as well. The DD15 engine in the newer trucks runs well, and gets good efficiency.
Well first thing would be that we are Peterbilt guys here, and the Cummins is the top engine in the Peterbilts and Kenworths. Secondly the torque and HP from the Cummins is at the top of the charts. Engines are very much a preference though, they all have high points and low points.
Different gear train set up in the x15 114b no scissor gear and different oil pump. CUMMINS did that for lower horsepower applications. I am sure the turbo will fit just fine though.
It is NOT deleted sir. We have developed all our tuning and parts to work with the emissions systems in place. These are the specs in the video for a full emission 2018 X-15 Cummins. We have been selling these for over 4 years now with great results.

I would say from what we've heard, you get what you're buying. Keep in mind the Efficiency series is 500 and lower on HP, and 1850 to 1450 Torque. I think the X15 performs better than the older version ISX15 in the holding/pulling power. May not feel like a powerhouse, but they pull hard.
I'm in one now. 450/1750. It actually does well even though it feels slow. Seems to be a little better than the isx. Fuel mileage is also really good. About 6 percent better than the 2017 isx of the same rating
Because the ECM tuning on an Acert was/is garbage. Ran very sluggish and hot. With the proper ECM Tuning, the Acert is an absolute monster. There never was anything wrong with the compound turbos on an ACERT CAT.

Seems much cheaper to build a glider or buy a used truck just drop that Cummins or What ever it has out and put a reman cat or Detriot in it. But I don’t work on trucks for a living. Caterpillars are overrated to say the least. They drive nice with no rpm hang, and have tons of torque, but that’s all I can say for em. As a truck mechanic I know there’s as many caterpillars needing repair as anything else. And fuel mileage is guaranteed to be worse than this truck will get
No sir, the tuner will not work on any deleted engines. You can use the Tuner LITE for gauges and to check and clear trouble codes, but it has no tuning capability. That all varies on weight you haul and terrain your in. Out here in the West we prefer 3:25 to 3:36 range.

On a 450 HP base engine, you would gain roughly 140 HP and 350 lb ft of torque! It would be an average of 1 - 1.25 mpg increase in efficiency.

Seems like lower egt would cause issues with egr. I thought the manufacturers wanted higher egt to deal with soot.
It still retains enough heat for it to work effectively. We have customers with over 300,000 miles on this setup now.

Yes the 605 HP is flywheel. The before # was the to the ground # of 538 HP and 1714 Torque. The 662 HP and 2190 Torque was after.

Yes sir. However, if there were catastrophic failure of the engine and needed to be removed, it can be back to stock in about 2-3 hours.

Factory 605 HP and 2050 Torque
That's hard to believe that you lose that much torque and horsepower to the ground with the stock 605 2050 setup.
There is usually a 10-15% loss from flywheel to the tire.
Most 1850-2050 Torque clutches will work just fine. We do build a 2450 torque clutch for customers when it comes time to replace one. It is designed for the heavy torque load.

What’s the max rpm stock? Operational
It varies from engine to engine, but most newer engines are usually 1900-2100. We don't change this in our tuning.
