That's not true about D12. They were never supposed to have 12 members. The plan was to always have 6 members with alter egos but Bugz died in 1997 (or 98). Proof literally had the idea before he even met Eminem.
I grew up listening to Eminem. I still listen to his old music. He made homophobic remarks but in no way I felt attacked or belittled. Because it’s music. It’s his expression. I never hated him for it. I’m a lesbian and I still listen to his old music. The amount of inspiration this man has given me over the years is undeniable and it’s helped me through some of the roughest times in my life. His Marshal Mathers LP and The Eminem Show helped me the most.
If and sometimes he shows support for the community, it is something that contradicts himself, but who knows, i am gay and i dont felt attacked or insulted by em 🖤 he is just love
The next line on Criminal after the Christopher Reeves lines is "Jeez, you guys are so sensitive, "Slim it's a touchy subject, try and don't mention it." And on Relapse there's a skit with Steve telling him "Again with the Christopher Reeves thing, you know the guy's dead right?" I think he only intended to do it once and someone told him not to and in typical Em fashion he went and mentioned it 100 more times.
Anytime someone mentions the "Up In Smoke Tour" my heart breaks all over again. I was a huge Stan back then. Lol.. And my best friends mom had gotten her son and myself tickets to go see them in New Orleans.. I was so pumped for so long.. But then my friend got into trouble the day before the concert.. Heartbroken, but I thought id eventually see him in concert.. It's been 22 years and I never did get to see Em live.. 😞😞
The same thing happened to me, except I was the kid who got in trouble, and the concert was Skid Row (this was '92, I think, when I was 12). I LOVED Skid Row, and still love Sebastian Bach, the singer (who is a great lyricist himself, tho not on par with Marshall.) What pissed me off was that my sister went instead... And she didn't even LIKE the band!
@@ContentMadame man.. that sucks!! At least no one got to go to the concert.. but my friends mom must've sold them or something.. 30:04 The reason he changed his name, was actually due to a chance encounter with Kid Rock. 41:00 I remember this rumour back in 2008 when I'm having a relapse song came out. People were saying that the album will be called Roots but it turned out to be Relapse.
Loyal To The Game is a different kind of 2pac album, alot of people weren't fans of Eminem's beats at the time. I personally like it a lot. Black Cotton is one of my favorite tracks off on there!

23:54 Sadly, Em & Paul just killed our dreams for Relapse 2…Paul was trying to put it to bed like no there’s nothing it’s done…Eminem however openly admitted no there is enough songs for an album actually, it’s just they are really bad. “You know how I feel about Relapse, so if I’m saying these songs are so bad they didn’t make that album…” So together they confirmed there will be no Relapse 2 😢

Yeah I would like to know more about it cause it seems like the final song was a patchwork without his involvement, I always felt the 'slim shady' intro adlib sounds like they took that from a different take or another song even
Totally disagree with the What If I Was Gay take, Joyner has consistently brought issues to light that usually weren’t spoken about in Hiphop, such as mental health, and I think this was another instance of that. Eminem also has a history of covering topics that hiphop didn’t discuss, like addiction. Homophobia is rampant in the hood, and I think straight men with big platforms discussing it is a good thing 🤷🏻♀️
Beef with the source started because they reviewed his first two albums so poorly and only gave the Eminem show four out of five because of that backlash. That's why Eminem was pissed
Dang, you know what would be awesome? A Postal 2 style Eminem game where you play as Slim Shady and play through the scenes described in the songs. That’s be real sick! Although given the content, I have a feeling it would get a AO rating from ESRB lol Also, I’m sorry, but the “what if I was gay” song will never not be hilarious to me. Bagpipes from Baghdad was *not* an entire song taking shots at nick and Mariah. There are only two or three bars, and they're all pretty tame. The Warning was what u described BfB as.
Things go in cycles. Everybody hated white rappers after Vanilla Ice. Couldn't even speak of a white rapper for years. Then Eminem came out & it was cool again. Blew everybody out the water. Then Benzino thought he could diss & that failed. Now everybody's trying to get on the diss bandwagon again (Game, Snoop, etc.) solely on the race basis. If you have a legit problem with something racist he said, that's one thing. But to just jump on a bandwagon because it's a social trend on Twitter or some shit, that's WACK. Sucks that canibus and eminem beefing kind of ended up stopping them from ever making a track together. They were both a fan of each others work and i have no doubt they wouldve made an insane track if they got around to it.
2pacs loyal to the game is worth listening to. There are a few really good songs. However I will say I have always disliked pacs voice on that album. One thing I would have loved had Em taken to letting a few other producers do a few songs just to give it a different sound, but still he did a solid job with the project.
Great video, thank you! I would like to address the "what if I was gay" song for a moment, mostly your comment on it. I totally understand where you're coming from but respectfully disagree about your conclusion. Its actually imperative that straight people address and discuss gay issues, especially in communities where the lifestyle is not accepted. These two big names addressing it brings the conversation to people that wouldn't otherwise listen.
that’s a fair point, and i actually agree 100% that straight people should be addressing and discussing issues that the LGBTQ+ struggles with. i honestly didn’t think of it like that at first but you’re right. thanks for dropping a comment 🤘
The documentary that Butteh Fingiz is going to be in, is not going to be called One-Handed Juggler. One-Handed Juggler is simply just a title of an Em song
Is EMINƎM the GOAT? What does it take to be the GOAT? 1. Skill - He rhymes & can even rhyme un-rhymable words, bends words, he is witty with it, changes flow on one song like no other artist b4 or after him, controversial with it, can still shock generations with his words after 20 years of rapping, metaphor, speed rap, story telling, multi syllabic, complex rhymes, antics with humor, you never see him coming with his words, nobody else is doing that & if they re not to his level. 2. He made hip hop a world wide phenomenon b4 him it was only blacks & a tiny amount of whites messing with hip hop. 3.He has put on or brought to the world a lot of dope black artists 4. He never forgot his roots, still supports battle rap till today, he never forgot his hood, he is repping Detroit 5. Mainly white people r the ones buying hip hop artists music like Jay Z, Kanye West, Tupac, biggie and EMINƎM is the highest selling hip hop artist of all times. 6. Longevity, he has been rapping since he was a teenager, came out in 99, so he has been in the game and still relevant for over 20years. 7. He is currently the most decorated MC of all times plaques, in Guinness book of world records, & an Oscar, 9 or 10 consecutive no.1s on the billboard charts, regularly no.1 in hundreds of countries around the world., breaking concert show records & setting new ones, clout chases him, when you see EMINƎM news online you will click including his haters. 8. Even as he is still experiencing racism from both whites & blacks he has made it possible for other white artists not to experience that cos hip hop appears to be lenient with any white artist who isnt EMINƎM. 9. Soo many rappers today whites, blacks & everything in btw have said EMINƎM is their influence 10. EMINƎM never forgets the OGs of hip hop that influenced him 11. He is the richest MC with money made solely from music no side hustle like Jayz and p diddy 12. Your albums have to have a massive impact as to shake the industry, the game & the culture, which his albums have done 13. His songs are relate-ble even tho some black people lie like they Don't, are we black people aliens? how can u not relate to the following that EMINƎM has made: songs about corrupt government, drugs, guns, cheating, racism in America towards blacks, family issues, baby mama troubles, being poor & broke, bitches, being abused and even motivational songs So if he has all these qualities then he IS one of the greatest of all times, his skin color should not count .

Yeah I couldn't ever really put it in words like that, but some of those songs really do have 2pac sounding like some weird robot
Dying To Live and Ghost are incredible songs
EMINEM IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO DO SONGS WITH THE LEGENDARY TUPAC !

What a ride, damn
You should've went more in depth on chaos kid cuz some interesting but dark shit went on with him relating to eminem
14:56 2 albums* Devils Night was already out when he was filming 8 Mile
Here we are........
Good content
GG
“Someone there called my song ‘busy’ and ‘two layered’…whatever tf that means” 😂😂😂😂
The documentary that Butteh Fingiz is going to be in, is not going to be called One-Handed Juggler. One-Handed Juggler is simply just a title of an Em song
DREWS BACK

surprised that the Kim performance isnt on here, even though we're unsure if it happened or not
Finally a Eminem Iceberg.
3.He has put on or brought to the world a lot of dope black artists
4. He never forgot his roots, still supports battle rap till today, he never forgot his hood, he is repping Detroit
9. Soo many rappers today whites, blacks & everything in btw have said EMINƎM is their influence
10. EMINƎM never forgets the OGs of hip hop that influenced him
11. He is the richest MC with money made solely from music no side hustle like Jayz and p diddy
12. Your albums have to have a massive impact as to shake the industry, the game & the culture, which his albums have done
13. His songs are relate-ble even tho some black people lie like they Don't, are we black people aliens? how can u not relate to the following that EMINƎM has made: songs about corrupt government, drugs, guns, cheating, racism in America towards blacks, family issues, baby mama troubles, being poor & broke, bitches, being abused and even motivational songs
So if he has all these qualities then he IS one of the greatest of all times, his skin color should not count .
43:08 I have this CD but the cover art is different
i honeslty thought the mic was a joke at first cuz of the retro video game gameplay but it just never got better 🤣😭😭😭
