@@candyneige6609 and that's if you can stand playing when the game removes half your allies every day in order to "encourage" you to play different setups
@@nathanielbass771 That never happens in PMD5, you'll not lose half of your allies every day in this game, on the other hand, there can only be up to 966 allies (including yourself) at a time, 960 in pastures (yes, they're the equivalent of Freind Areas or Chimecho Assembly or Quagsire Assembly in this game), and the remaining 6 in your team (one of which has to be the team leader, which is who you control as, and you can change the team leader at any time, even when inside dungeons), and once you reach the limit, you can't throw Pokéballs (yes, for the first time ever in the PMD series, there are Pokéballs so that you can throw them at Pokémon to recruit them), you can't recruit any more Pokémon, and the only way to remedy this problem is to remove Pokémon from pastures by going there and by saying farewell to them, furthermore, there is no partner in this game, meaning your partner don't exist in this game, therefore, you'll be alone at times with at most only 5 of your recruited Pokémon to acompany you, especially in the very early-game, when you don't have any recruited Pokémon with you, this breaks the PMD tradition of having a partner with you throughout the story, additionally, at the start of the game, while there is no personality test, meaning you can choose freely the Pokémon you'll play as, the options are limited, there's only 3 playable Pokémon, Rowlet, Cyndaquil, and Oshawott, this is similar to PMD3, where there's also no personality test and very limited options with only 5 playable Pokémon, Pikachu, Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, and Axew, speaking of PMD3, the lack of a belly mechanic from PMD3 is back in this game, meaning you don't need to eat apples every so often in order to not starve to faint, finally, this game is the first PMD game to ever contain open world elements, which will hopefully be expanded on in future PMD games, hopefully even becoming fully open world, and that could happen hopefully as soon as PMD6 gets released, and as for Arceus, you have to recruit all 242 recruitable Pokémon minus Arceus itself of course, Phione, Manaphy, Shaymin and Darkrai, therefore making it only 237 Pokémon you have to recruit, in order to even meet Arceus.
@@candyneige6609 I was thinking Super Mystery Dungeon... remakes technically shouldn't count as a "new" game... Also, pokeballs? That literally breaks the canon...what were they thinking? PMD is about a world of ONLY Pokemon. Humans are literally a myth to them... Also, no partner pokemon? Then what happens to the story when your partner is fairly critical to it? Open world is cool though but it seems they're taking quite a few liberties with one of the greatest Pokemon games ever made...

@@NatetheNintendofan ten? In mystery dungeon it's more like 40 XD If you're actually battling in the high level dungeons to get XP, it takes a ton of resources and time. In red/blue for example, you had to find gummies to eat in order to increase your base stats and "IQ abilities"

From my experiences, it's sadly not a very great move in Explorers. Yeah, it's _powerful,_ but the Special Attack drop happens after hitting the first Pokémon in range so the others are already taking less damage, meaning it's kinda bad for multiple targets like in a Monster House. On top of that there's not much PP and no way to prevent the stat drop.
I have never seen Draco Meteor in the PMD games so it Nice to see it for once
Then you haven't walked through Zero Isle Center. Gible is one of those Pokémon in this dungeon that are between level 90 - 99 and know how to spam Draco Meteor. If you think you can breeze through it with Palkias last IQ Skill you're in for a bad time
For anybody who is watching this but has never played this game: Do it. Its quite possibly the single greatest Pokemon game I've played to date, and I don't use those words lightly.
I have heard people mention this game but never seen footage of it. Is it like an FF game but with pokemon?
@@ComfortableTool86 Its a turn-based Dungeon Crawler, with a focus on exploration and story. And my god, is the story good. And I dont mean good as in "good for a Pokemon game", but unironically one of the best stories I've seen in a video game, period. I dont wanna spoil anything, but if you can get your hands on a copy, you need to try it for yourself.
Its a lot harder and quite a bit darker than the main line games, but not in a bad way. Not sure if I would compare it to Final Fantasy though.

@@ComfortableTool86 it's basically a dungeon crawler where other pokemon will come and attack playing as your own pokemon it's fun but my issue was not me dieing throughout or my partner it was people that partnered for the story where they force you to escort them!
it isnt quite possibly the single greated pokemon game youve played. It is the single best pokemon game ever made or that ever will be or wont be made

I find it funny that Badoo has actually beaten a lot of these pokémon incompetitive Ubers. Because of the moody ability it was viable in Ubers

It's fun, the story is also great, but you will need a lot of time to grind
Sleepless nights grinding and completing quests. One of the best Pokemon games for real
I fell in love with the new PMD on switch, used to read guide books about the originals all the time when they first came out.

The good movepool is normal for, uh... Normal types. It's that Bidoof also has good abilities. We're not talking about trash like Run Away and Illuminate here, Simple and Unaware are both very useful.

What's really scary about this video showing up in my recommendations is that I only watched a video where there is a like 5 second clip of Mystery Dungeon gameplay in it and otherwise completely unrelated. I have never searched for that game or pokemon in general on youtube before.
So either RUclipss algos keep track of all related searches people do after watching a video, or it scans every video for content and gives recommendations based on that.
