Loved the song, it was unique. The shining star was Seth's shreds. They need to let him display his talent more. Also very much loved your reaction. Can't wait for you to cover all the songs!! Thank you as always!!!
I am I really digging the time signature changes...the half to double time. And the bridge chord progression is unique...Gm Ab G/B C...that's a nice change! Another song with off the charts energy!
In my opinion, Surviving the Game was rly good, Standing in the Storm was better, Refuge took a bit of a hit because it was a softer worship song, and Dominion just shot everything up to Heaven and beyond 🔥
Me encantó la canción, Skillet siempre demostrando por que es una de las bandas más grandes y talentosas, Seth con la guitarra ufff lo amé. Excelente reaccion.
After listening to the whole album on release day, I gotta say this is easily the best song on here. The album as a whole I felt was a little underwhelming. Even White horse. I hate that I still expect Collide and Comatose type songs but it is what it is. Still like it though.
YOU (WE) FINALLY GOT THE SHRED SOLO FROM SETH WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR HEHE! This song is great! I like the lyrics in the third verse where he is singing about people being "pre-programmed robots" and he referenced, "a 40-foot golden idol." This imagery really fits the meaning of not being controlled by anything the world throws out you, whether it be political or otherwise. This is something John is passionate about and it really shows. The riffs and screams are very... FTF meets Skillet! We're getting the heavy they promised us on Victorious. I LOVED Victorious, but it let us down a lil bit in the heavy. That solo... was the best Seth has done in a long time... Easily the best guitar solo since The Resistance! Loved it; can't wait for the new album; their music literally carries me throughout the year with my life, and my faith in God. 🤟😇
@@adrianneneal916 You are welcome! Yup; the whole album has a theme of an anti-establishment, refusal to be controlled. Media often forced people into a hypnotized, robotic state in their brain. If the media says it, is must be true. Skillet is creating these lyrics to defy these powers that feed lies to us in subtle ways. 👍
Dude its gonna be a hard time picking a favorite from this album! I respect that you're able to contain yourself listening to this stuff. I do not have that ability lol! Awesome reaction!
Sup bro! Did you record a reaction to this song? If not, its ok, but i was just wondering. I love seeing fellow Skillet fans reacting to their amazing songs!
They started really stong with Surviving the Game imho. It pumped my workouts so freaking much. Standing in the Storm was also great but lacked those climaxes that motivate me. Refuge is something calming so not really my style, but Dominion blew me away. I am vibeing to it all day now hahaha. Can't wait for next Friday. Lesssgoooooo Panheads!!
I’ve been impressed with this album! I feel like they finally didn’t recycle the lyrics of not going to die or whatever! Great album. White Horse is amazing
It's really hard to see Dominion not ultimately being the hardest album since Collide. Victorious got us to 9 "rockers" but a few of those lacked punch. So far the first 3 tracks are FIRE both musically and in quality. The ballad is strong. Either this album will be insanely frontloaded with rockers or we can reasonably speculate the rest of the rockers will follow suit.
New to the channel. May I suggest the band named Iris? They made some great albums like Heart of an Artist, Goliath's Throne, and the new one, Dawn of the Dimetrix. Can you react to one of my favourite songs from the artist like Peace Be Thy Name?
When I was listening to this song I was like "I really want dave to do a cover of this one"😂
Gonna try and make it happen!
@@DaveScottBass Dave someone should combine this song with future Spider-Man movies and games
Dominion is so Alien Youth/Collide era with the electronic rhythms and heavy riffs. I love it. Old Skillet (before Comatose) is underrated.

Gonna do as many as I can!
@@DaveScottBass love this song don’t you think it beats surviving the game
Favorite song off the album so far. This song is insane. I love how original, heavy, and pumped up the song is. Definitely showcases the bands talent
Agreeing with you there bro but I can’t deny Surviving the Game’s amazing chorus 🤘🏻
I am I really digging the time signature changes...the half to double time. And the bridge chord progression is unique...Gm Ab G/B C...that's a nice change! Another song with off the charts energy!
I wasn’t expecting much but now I’m excited for this album haha. I grew up listening to skillet so I have a soft spot for them.
In my opinion, Surviving the Game was rly good, Standing in the Storm was better, Refuge took a bit of a hit because it was a softer worship song, and Dominion just shot everything up to Heaven and beyond 🔥
…incredible was a perfect song.
Chorus did grow on me after a few listens. The pandora version has a little testimonial by John before the solo

Yeah, totally agree on here. Dominion is by far the best

Thank you for explaining the pre programming robots lyric. I was having a hard time understanding what it was meaning
