This song reminds me a lot of Never Going Back & You Ain’t Ready with a little twist of their Collide & Alien Youth days, maybe a hint of what they did before the 2000s rolled along. Definitely a good tune👍🏼
This is such an interesting album honestly. I'm not as familiar with this group as most here I think, but this album just has so many unique sounds in it with a mix of things I remember from some of their older songs. I really value an album that has me coming back not just to hear familiar sounds but also variety and something that makes me really listen.
I do not think ANYBODY knows how to feel about this song at first! 🤣 I love it; the riff is groovy and nasty, the verses keep the nasty riff while John's vocal lines are a bit different than what you would expect, the chorus is catchy, and I think the experiment worked with this song! But I agree; the second half of this album let us down on the heavy a bit; the singles were kinda misleading in regards to that. :\ Still, some good and great songs, even if they are overdoing it on the electronic Hard Rock/Pop sounds a bit. The one chord in the chorus does kinda bother me a little bit though... 😆
The drum n' bass influence at 1:03 and before the second chorus shows they were definitely allowing different influences into their tracks than they normally do. And is that Korey in the chorus? That doesn't sound like Jen. Skillet is always going to have electronic influences, Korey loves them.
‘When my demons to pull me under, into the past that I don’t wanna remember.’ Is one of my favorite lines on the record!
This song is straight from Skillet’s sound from around 2000/2001. So cool!
Definitely has drum n' bass influence in the pre-chorus. Cool little left turn!
Totally agree! Heavy Alien Youth vibes to me.
Destroyer has serious alien youth vibes and idk how to feel about it

This song is like if the albums victorious and alien youth had a baby

I think it is Jen
I actually want Halloween to be every day cause of this heavy song
0:55 gets me so hyped!
Love the double bass sound
The whole CD is awesome
Idk if you've listened to it already but "Feel Invincible" by Skillet is a good song to listen to
I don't think I ever heard Jen Ledger do a double bass until this album. This is my favorite song off of Dominion.
She also did it for sick of it, and out of hell
It's hard very hard
