In this video we are going to go through a step by step lesson on how to replace leaking fork seals on the Honda GL1800 Goldwing. Goldwing front forks, just like any other telescopic front suspension are susceptible to periodic service when you start to see fork oil leaking out of the seals.
In this video I wanted to take you through each procress to ensure that you are doing the job safely and correctly. So you can confidently get your bike back out of the road where it belongs.
    ENJOY!

I did this job recently. It took me several days but when I was done I felt like the king of the universe. Great video!

I'm going to do this job on my 08 Kawi Versys 650. Left fork started leaking at 50k miles. Looking to replace the rear shock with a newer adjustable one from the updated versys.

Does an upside down fork leak more than a regular fork when the seals go bad ? 🤔

I have no idea lol When either leak. They just leak. I have seen messy cases on both types.

I would guess the usd fork would leak before a rsu fork would if they were on a bike just sitting around not ridden for a long time. I prefer rsu forks because the shiny slider tube is up higher and away from road debris. But I have bikes with both types and neither are giving me trouble… yet. We shall see.
