A tip I just learned recently is instead of cooking your rice/quinoa in water, cook it in bone broth! 10g of protein for 1 cup of bone broth and it's only 70 cals. Sneak in that extra protein! You can also make your own bone broth in the slow cooker if you're cooking up whole chickens (I go through at least 1 chicken a week so I may as well use those bones for something).

However, in the early 2000s, much wasn't known about PCOS/Syndrome X, so I didn't understand the full scope of what that meant and what i needed to do to tackle it early.

I save the stems and put them in the freezer. I’ll pull out a small bunch to dice into my eggs, soups, on top of pizzas or skillet meals. The leaves I use mostly fresh. Or I’ll dry them for using in winter.

I definitely have lost weight since I changed the way I eat. I don’t eat sweets or eat at night at all anymore. I saw a huge difference in my acid reflux as well. Cutting out sugar definitely made me less hungry and I don’t feel so tired all the time.
@@thecramptons yes because the sugars always made me tired. I would eat and lay down right after which causes your food to not digest properly. That’s what causes acid reflux.

I just wash the rice till clear and sit it on the stove…boil till evaporated. The right amount of water is key. Never used oil. It’s helpful for folks who struggle tho😂😂 We definitely have oil in jollof rice so I get what you’re saying ❤

Love the meal prepping ideas but I don’t eat seafood so none of this will work for me. But gave me ideas. I can swap tuna and salmon for chicken and shrimp for ground beef or turkey
I can relate. I eat seafood in moderation and that's only because I know the Omega-3 is good for me. Salmon, maryland crabcakes, and tuna (sometimes) is the extent of it. Turkey sausage is good with the cabbage and or beans. You can also put meatballs with the rice etc.
