I don't know anything about birds, but I came here to make a Telescoping pole to DIY my own backdrop stands and this was ALLLLLLLLLLL of the information that I needed. I have to buy the clamps and drill block and drill vice and I will be READY!!! Thanks again for a very slow and precise video with step by step instructions!!!!!

Years ago, a fellow ham radio operator gave me an antenna built out of EMT and a 102 Inch cb whip.. i worked the world on that antenna and am building another as it eventually corroded and became unusable after about 8 years outdoors. I am building another to the original specifications that requires 1/2 in conduit to be placed and secured with bolts 18 inches inside 3/4 in conduit. Thank you so much for showing how to drill it!

Another super video, Jeff!!! I love how you show us exactly what we need to know for accomplishing the task!! That's a great life hack on cleanup safety too!!! I would've never thought to put a bag over the magnet when picking up the metal shards!! SMART idea!! : )

    • @BackyardBirdsUS

I don't think it would. Actually i speak from experience and the weight bent the pole.
