Super helpful seeing so many different options! Some aspects of my project needs the stronger connections, but not all of them require that. THANK YOU for having all the options in one video!
Jake, Kelly and Dave are fortunate to have you. Your positivity, perseverance, and realtionship with people on the Live Build shows are inspiring. If I have a couple of hours of boring data entry I'll pull up a past live build video and feel like I have company as you talk to, acknowledge and respond to attendees. I thank you for your warmth. This video was amazing and to have it itemized and linked is so helpful. I will share this with my engineer son, whom I'm introducing to Maker Pipe. Maybe you could bottle your attitude and positivity and add them to the online store
Thanks so much Dianne for the kind words! I am happy you enjoy the livestreams and videos. We love putting them on and spending time with everyone. We’re glad you’re apart of the community!
PERFECT.... just placed an order. I'm an illusion & prop fabricator for guys all over the world. Looking forward to tinkering around with some of your engineering ideas to create quick and easy solutions for my clients and their needs. Hope shipping of my order is super fast from SC to Pennsylvania. Thanks Jake! Really great stuff here on your channel and on your website. Awesome solutions here on your channel as well.
Glad you like the solutions. Sounds like you do a lot of cool engineering and making yourself! Thanks for your business and let us know if you have any questions in the future.
1/2" IMC conduit can be used inside of 3/4" EMT. Available only at contractor supply stores. Clearance of only .009". Might be a way to "barb" or crimp it once in place.
@RealityCheck Make sure you cut the EMT with an angle grinder if you don't have a way to ream the end - a pipe cutter is nice and clean but leaves enough of a lip to reduce the opening diameter ID make it impossible to insert the IMC. You can also insert some scrap IMC first, then use the pipe cutter to prevent the lip.
@@DougLooney Thanks man! This is awesome to know.
Does that scale up with larger sizes? I'm trying to make a DIY golf simulator enclosure and need a sturdy 15' run to hang a 20-30lb screen from. I'm going to recess it in the ceiling and make my own retracting system. I was just at menards today trying to test fit different EMT sizes.
Thanks for the video! Exactly what I was looking for 🇧🇷
You're welcome! Thanks for the comment
4:34 DEEZ NUTZ!
Shut up I'm not the only one that caught that!
Super awesome video. This really is going to help me make my own Mandalorion Beskar spear. I look forward to getting the inserts for my project.
That sounds awesome! Glad it was helpful!
Is that UV resistant bungee cords? How many summers will they last you think?
I’m cutting an aluminum pop up canopy tent down, what connectors would you suggest for a canopy tent?
Good stuff! 👍
I am hoping you can help me. I want to build a stereo rack system using aluminum pipe as the supports between the shelves and connecting with allthread. I have been having hard time finding what I need for the insert nuts. The inside diameter of the aluminum pipe is .6075/15.4 mm. Do you have any recommendations. BTW, I already spent money on the pipe.
Hi there, we don't carry any of that size but I think these will do the trick for you. www.mcmaster.com/94290A510
Good video. I'm trying to insert 1 1/4 conduit (free) into 1" angle brackets for a canvas tent frame. Not a thing it seems. Nice presentation brother.
Thanks for the comment! We don't have any thing that'll fit that large of a diameter but this website sells all sorts of inserts and things. www.mcmaster.com/tube-inserts/tube-connecting-nuts/ They may have what you're looking for.
Silly question I broke a 34 inch steel pipe from trampoline, how can I drill square holes in a galvanized pipe to try to remake the broken one. It also has a narrow neck at end to attach to upper pipe
Hmm that is a good question. I think they make some bit for drilling square holes. If that doesn't work you could probably drill out a smaller circular hole then use a punch to make it square.
Hello~
Do you know whether there are any fittings from any source where I could connect 2-3/8" fence posts ( pipes) to custom make my own canopy?
I'd need all the fittings to make a peaked roof type Canopy, including T's , 3 Way Thru's, High Peak Center's, High Peaks Center / Side, 3 Way Peak, etc etc....
Hi there, thanks for the question. Unfortunately, I don't know of any connectors for that large of a diameter. The largest we are working on is 1-3/8" top rail fence pipe. Sorry I'm not much help!
@@MakerPipe
I actually found out there ARE 2-3/8" CANOPIES out there, and obviously ALL the 2-3/8" connectors identical to the 1-3/8" you've mentioned....
do you make them braces for 1 3/4 emt pipe
Hi there, thanks for the question. Currently the largest size we carry is 1" EMT.
