A sped up and narrated take on Architectural section illustration for beginners. Nothing too outrageously crazy but a lot of fun and hopefully it helps out.

Mate, I just want to say on behalf of all us architectural students a big thank you for taking your time to run through this visualisation process. Keep up the fantastic work, I'm looking forward to more future ARQUI9 videos!
The narrating really helps!
i guess im randomly asking but does anyone know of a tool to log back into an Instagram account??
I was dumb lost my login password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me
@Morgan Andre instablaster ;)
@James Bowie thanks so much for your reply. I found the site through google and I'm in the hacking process atm.
Seems to take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
@James Bowie It worked and I now got access to my account again. Im so happy!
Thank you so much you saved my account !
i love your commentary so much!! reminds me of when I was in uni and had tutors that would just teach me everything with passion, thank you so so so much
Not enough words to express my gratitude for you sharing your knowledge ! Obrigado !
+teo p Thanks for that. de nada :)
This is absolutely brilliant. But it's definitely not easy to follow. Especially for Photoshop newbies. Not sure how all that masking works.
Go look for basic photoshop tutorials, my friend. That's how I got to understand it :D
s beans Will do, thanks. I actually managed to figure it out from this video by slowing down the speed. xD
There is a little settings icon at the bottom right of the vid, you'll find the speed options there. (Settings icon is right next to the CC) I recommend you mute the vid otherwise it sounds really weird! But I still think finding basic photoshop tutorials will be easier.
i think it's great to understand the design process and how your mind works, it helps understanding the bigger picture. if anything i want more videos like this with MORE concentration on the 'theory' side, and you could do separate videos focusing on the technical side. great work! i learned a lot, keep it up.
Thanks Harith, will definitely keep this in mind for the next ones!
whoa brilliant!
I always use 3d rendering for presentations to clients, but it turns out that I saw another great presentation. Thank you for inspiring me!
This is an amazing section perspective. Thanks for the video bud.
amazing man, very well done
Another great video! Thanks for keeping them coming!
please i entered the webssite and i couldn't get the materials
Need some help. So at 2.59, you start going around a different part of the building to add to the mask, how did you do that? I'm thinking it was hotkey based because I couldn't find the sequence of clicks on the screen.
I like your style :)
Wow. Such a great work! Thanks for sharing it!
+Guilherme Duarte Thanks Guilherme
Amazing video
That brush tutorial sounds great
you just got a new subscriber! awesome vid.. love to c more
Great tutorial as always! Are you using tablet for drawing in here or just a mouse? I love the effect youaget at 14:12, I tried with some of the brushes I have but couldnt get same result from just using a mouse :(
EDIT:
18:27 for everybody who wonders Pedro uses Wacom Intuos
very nice! and very helpful!
Idk if you’ll read this, but watching your video has made me feel like, a new realm of discovery has been unlocked for me. Though I feel stupid bc I have the tools to do this, I’ve done several digital drawings based on art but I never thought this was how these types of sections are done. I feel like I have an outburst of ideas and the possibilities are endless. Thanks!
Great video, thanks a lot for taking the time. Would love to se more of this experimentation videos. Loved the narration instead of the usual and somewhat boring narration of the instructions and the commands. Your narration really gives you a inside of the thinking process and strategy of how to get a good visualization render. Thanks again
too fast, the masking part too fast
i changed the speed to 0.25, it's better!
see the gear icon (setting) on right bottom of the video?click on it you see the speed option
Sorry guys, this was a little on the fast side as it was probably more of a walkthrough. Will take these tips on board. Cheers
magnificent work............but the tutorials is quite fast........
You used a graphic tablet for doing this?
you exported at 2d graphic and received a section proportional to the scene when i do it it's just like i screen shot my current angle on google sketch up. How did you do it?
I tried to pay for your brushes but the processing of credit card didnt go through.
I would love to be able to access the files! But the website is under construction and the files aren't on the Gumroad. Would you be able to post an updated link in the meantime?
Try gumroad.com/arqui9
great tutorial as always.
i just have a request, have you ever worked on master plans or site plans, if that's the case, would it be possible to do a tutorial on that
This Tutorial is simply bombastic. Thank you very much, I've learned a lot.
how are the white lines drawn (how are you keeping them straight)? by hand with a mouse?
Can you please provide a link of these brushes? you have quite a valuable set of brushes
+hanfoi hanfoi www.arqui9learn.com/photoshop-brushes/
If anyone has read them which would you suggest is better to make a structure like what is presented at the beginning of this video:
The SketchUp Workflow for Architecture: Modeling Buildings, Visualizing Design, and Creating Construction Documents with SketchUp Pro and LayOut
OR
Rendering in SketchUp: From Modeling to Presentation for Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Interior Design
Would love a tutorial on brushes. Keep up the great work!
+samborambo26 In the works
this is not for beginners at all. i didnt leanred a single thing about how to do it myself :'C
now all my friends are your fans pedro! nice video!
+chyenno que Thanks for that, hope they like our stuff as well ;)
The website requires a password to access the files
Beautiful results, but the video is showing the steps too fast, without explanations, so it's not really a tutorial. I believe that the beginners would find it hard to follow. I would love to see more of your videos, but I suggest splitting the video into 2 or 3 parts and slowing it down a bit, with exact steps in Photoshop so the noobs could learn too (as they need these videos the most :)
hey
Lovely tutorial once again, when are your courses coming up?still waiting :)
+zoh ahs Thanks, trying as best I can, time is always a factor but they are coming soon, just hold on there
HI, Could you tell me how to find good picture
We can truly see the amazing things we can do with photosho but, for a noob like me who's trying to learn by myself this video is really complex.
Hey there Pedro Fernandez from Arqui9, could you please make a tutorial on the masking techniques you use in this video please!? Great work by the way, thanks for uploading!
Thanks... nice demonstration 👍
i dont get the mask part can someone please explain which shortcuts on keyboard should i click ?
hello how did you export that section because my section doesn't show the perspective part
Yes please on the brushes tutorial. That is one of the elements of photoshop I understand the least about. I always just default to the soft brush and occasionally the grass and I'm missing out on a lot of untapped potential because I don't know what I'm doing.
hey, so this is the spedup version, is there a real time version out there. I didn't quite get how the masking works. thanks.
so typically this is the base you have to work from when receiving a file from an architect? what notes do they give as far as direction?
Awesome work as always! Do you print your images to present to clients? How would you you compose the images in a board?? would be great if you could show us!
bro u have a good design vision , please upload more of sections with depth
So amazing! Thank you so much for sharing!
+kleenesonni91 No worries :D
YES!!! Brush tutorial please! Thanks for all you guys do!
+Scott Parris On its way Scott, thanks for the compliments :D
这速度...醉了
thanks very much
cant we just select and draw by brush ? why do we have to use the mask ?
hi thank you so much ur efforts ..can u upload or send to me that skecthup file??
Do you have an email so we can contact you with? I have questions, thank you
Thank you so much! I didn't know Photoshop did so much!
omg this is so fantastic... iam just watching your videos whole afternone i love it
this is quite fast to figure out some selections, settings etc. But its great anyway
i changed the speed to 0.75,it's so funny
This looks amazing! I am going to try these things out and I hope I can do it :D :P
Hey guys, as always, a brilliant tutorial that ended with an amazing product. Now I have a question that I wanted to ask you for a long time, since the first videos actually. How do you manage the difference in representation and visualization between perspectives/perspective sketches/axonometric views on one hand and the more technical floor plans, cut-out details and such on the other hand? More to the point, do you keep those simple and ''boring'' or do you ''work''(for lack of a better word) on them as well? Thanks again for the tutorial!
+Avram Cristian Nicolae Hi Avram, Not sure I totally understand your question, but we work on visuals in general - www.arqui9.com . We don't usually get asked for rigorous representation. As with all forms of art, you always have to set the style and dictate the expression you want in accordance with your public. In a competition for instance, architects usually look for loose and creative interpretations, as they haven't yet defined the totality of their design. In marketing you would probably be looking to have a much more rigorous style, as all details are looked at closely. Hope that answers your question.
Pedro
Thanks for video!! It's so cool!
Magnificiant
great vid! thanks for uploading!
Awesome man great job I can't wait to begin my Photoshop journey and implement it into my renderings at work I will subscribe and keep my eyes on what you have to share I really appreciate it.. You mentioned you were using some type of pen is that like a mouse or some sort of tool do you have any recommendations?
Hi Chris, thanks a lot for your comments. It's a WACOM Intuous medium
great vid! thanks for uploading!
So goddamned inspiring!!! Thank you guys!!
can you teach how u select so fast?
can you send the link for the rectangle brush set?
+Amandaxxcastilho try here amanda www.arqui9learn.com/photoshop-brushes/
What are your system specs?
很好的教程
very helpful thanks a lot :)
pls make more videos like this
what is brush name?
Wow, I'm an all 3D guy, and it amazes me how much detail and finish you guys are able to get out of a simple image so quickly, definitely picking up some good info, thanks!
Thanks Freddy appreciate the kind words!
which architectural program did you used, before sketchup? i mean to build de model. thank you!
Very sure this was modelled in Skethup
very helpful .. thanks
+Marwah Bahnassi No problem, a pleasure
fantastic and amazing work, Thanks for sharing, you were bit fast for me but I love it
+paulvicc paulvictor Will have to slow it down next time then :)
The brushes he uses here look to be Jonas De Ro brushes from Fusroda. Free to download I think.
+PawelDzizys Indeed you are right, added them to a on going list of brushes will have www.arqui9learn.com/photoshop-brushes/
How do you change between brushes that quickly in the beginning of the video?
yeah, i liked to know that too!
incredible again
love
Those brushes you offer to buy via gumroad do work on PS CS4?
I've not yet tested on that version but think so.
really nice
Peeeeeeeerfetc
Tens grande talento, continua com o bom trabalho!
Been waiting a year for new video's, love all of them! A brush tutorial would be amazing
+Joel Laurino Trying to keep them a little more up to date now, got the brush tutorial on the books for sure
really cool
I love this!
i love how you are sharing your knowledge and everything but you are going too fast that it is hard to understand what you are doing.
Sorry it's more of a run through and not an in depth tutorial, it would take a long time to explain every little thing and would kind of take the fun out of making these
A brush tutorial and a mask tutorial would be great
+Talia ML Sounds like a good mix
Español por favor.
+Emmanuel Hernandez Um dia yo voy hablar en espanhol, pero no soy muy bueno ;)
do you draw with a mouse or a pen on a tablet?
18:25
:)
who where the references?
TO be honest, a lot of the images where googled, but we love the stuff from Alex Hogrefe
this is so well done , great work
Thanks :)
The plan view you showed at the end looked incredible! would love to see a tutorial for something like that!
+Speedy10226 On its way ;)
awesome! can't wait to see it. I was having a look for the bushes you used in this vid, mainly the square one, the grungy one for the section cuts, and the thinner one used to highlight the section cuts in white, would you be able to point me in the right direction?
+Speedy10226 www.arqui9learn.com/photoshop-brushes/ :D hope it helps
ah thats great thank you! :D
+ARQUI9 Visualisation ,,eeee eagerly waiting for it.
The final product looks amazing. I wish I knew what you were actually doing, but you are going WAY too fast without explaining what you're doing.
Your skills are awesome but this video is too fast to keep track of.
Good work!
Thank you! but it's toooooooo fast!
