I learnt everything from you in 2020. I was doing this exact thing back then, making Renaissance portraits for pets and people. It kickstarted my career as a graphic designer.
Today I am an illustrator, and the world has changed and AI is making our lives hell. But the happiness I found then and now just by learning from you and creating artworks that brought joy to so many people around the world, is that satisfaction is everything. And it wins over anything AI and people who depend on AI can ever find.
It means a lot, and thanks so much for sharing that. Manual editing, retouching, and the entire process of creating art has a level of charm, control, and magic that AI just can't touch.
You know, when I see this guy every day, I feel like he's better than adobe
I’m telling you😂
After all these years you never fail to amaze me.
I can imagine Rembrandt would enjoy watching you work! Such an inspiration.
I wish I could hang out and work with him! So much to learn.
Just excellent job! No AI, no plugins, no third-party software only curves and masks only hardcore, Thanks Unmesh 😉
Excellent! Curves adjustment layers are amazing. I love the funky Renaissance music at the beginning and end. I'm sure they listened to that track while painting back in the Renaissance too!
ADMIN HERE: On behalf of Unmesh Dinda, thanks for your support on Patreon and here. It's because of generous Patrons like you that PiXimperfect can create for everyone.
You know I'm in love with Curves, in Photoshop, haha. Thanks so much, I do spend a considerable amount of time choosing tracks, appreciate you noticing.
Unmesh proving yet once more why he is the Photoshop hero we need, but don't deserve.
It never ceases to amaze me how great of an educator you are. You anticipate questions and issues people might experience, and you still leave time to explore smaller aspects of color grading even if they're not a major part of the edit. Simply incredible work, I'm always so impressed and learn a lot.
Actually today is my 1st day of photoshop learning sir. I found your channel it's a god grace. Thank you for providing this video
Thanks Unmesh. It’s the double clicking in the curves adjustment to load values and then putting them into other areas that is ace. Thanks for the reminder.👍
As always, an incredible video, with a mindblowing workflow, given by a minblowing instructor!
perfect! You unlocked a tool I had forgotten about! Thanks, Greetings from Peru! 🇵🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪
So without any further do, lets get started!!
Great video! I've learned from you a lot within those past few years! So now it's time for me to teach you one thing in return... it's not a renaissance painting. Leonardo da Vinci, Sandro Botticelli, Rafael Santi and Michelangelo Buonarotti - the big four of renaissance stream. They all used vibrant colors and the portraits would always feel very formal, trying to mimic ancient Greece and idealized.
Now baroque, on the other hand could be divided into two streams: classical baroque (very formal, trying to mimic ancient Greece but more successful at catching human-likeness than renaissance in my opinion) and Caravaggisti (strong lights and shadows, usually warm and earthly tones, heavily influenced by Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio). Baroques well known artists are Caravaggio, Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn, Johannes Vermeer, Diego Velázquez and Jacques-Louis David. This style also features oil paints an oh dear, would you look at all those dynamic poses!
Old paintings were not originally yellow, brown, or amber color, but over the centuries, paintings have accumulated dirt, and varnish has deteriorated from clear to yellow.
Even though i use Affinity Photos i watch your tutorial for years already and they applicable there as well. thank you for being a fantastic presenter making things understandable and easy to follow.
As usual it's very interesting, well explained, and very useful to know how it's done and why ! Thank you for all I learn with you.
Brilliant! This is why you're The Master.
Really cool! You make the best PS tutorials! I appreciate ya
Very intuitive method, thanks!
Omg! Another fabulous video. Thank you!
These color grading tutorials are 🔥 Umesh.
love it....really great stuff with the ease that you got this done.....
Fabulous - how easy. Thank you for sharing.
A very slightly more accurate way of checking black and white values, is to use view>proof setup>custom>dot gain 20%. Better for showing accurate luminosity taking the colours into account. Also handy because once you've set it up you can quickly check anytime with ctrl+y.
Awesome tuturial - as always!
Your a Saint Of digital Community helping so many people's 😊
Loved it 😍
Thank you 🤝🤝🤝
So cool. Thanks so mutch!
I learned a lot! Thank you!
Awesome, special thanks for files!
I found this tutorial incredibly helpful as the techniques may be applied to so many images. Thank you Unmesh!

Everyday is a learning day ❤️
Oh wow, you're the wizard of Photoshop!!!
Great Tutorial
Awesome 🤩
Thank you Professor
Great job bro!
Woow perfect 👍
Super Cool!!!!!
I will be using these techniques in Affinity Photo..
I know you know it, but you are the BEST! ⭐ Thanks for this beautiful tutorial 👍
Couple this with great painterly effect and you got a masterpiece!! who needs AI
Wonderful idea!
I need AI if I don't want to spend a lot of time to achieve the same result ...
@@anianait AI won't give you the "same result" you want but if you don't wanna spend a lot of time then sure yeah AI would be a better option but also very limiting.
@@SimmyAnimation404 AI sets you quickly in the right path, you finalize with minor adjustments if needed. Check R4Me Color Match and also Photoshop NF Harmonization and Photoshop Match Color ...
Isn't painterly effect AI ?
You're the goat! 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Thanks!
Great one
You are awesome !
Thanks for this one! greetz from Belgium
Excellent

You are the Master 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Love your videos! By far the best Photoshop tutorials. Your Photoshop for beginners course really progressed my skills (going back to basics!) and your other videos help with with specific needs. Plus, you’re a great host and I love your accent. Keep up the great work! :)

Muito bom!!👏
I thank you very much because I learned much and discoverd I don't know Photoshop exactly your brother from Egypt
You should be just as recognized as any renaissance painter. Seriously. We live in the future, and you have the techniques, both easy and deeper options. Thank you for the content, how do I buy a T-Shirt (even though I'm a broke Photoshop artist ) I will still buy one!
At least a sticker or something.
Vielen Dank ❤
Hello Unmesh, I always learn new things from your tutorials even basic things like curves. I hope in the future you can also provide advanced tutorials about affinity photo, because many have started to switch and affinity has many similarities with photoshop. thanks
The automatic mask selection when using eyedropper in curves adjustment is not a bug, it's a feature ;)
Great
@2:39 Adobe needs to fix this. .. Brilliant tutorial. Succinct and very helpful!
You are a god.
Nice intro!!!
You're the master of neverending creation…
nice
im from iran! this is perfect

Wow
*Time to turn myself into a great grandson of Mona Lisa*
Woud you please make a colour grading to achieve pastel color painting like. Thank you
Wow! How do work this stuff out, all respect to you
Amazing thanks man (first)
I would love to see a tutorial on when you switch the color to from RGB to CMYK... a lot of times the color completely changes when you do this. How can you retain the color after you switch from RGB to CMYK for print purposes
Hermoso
This man is insane 😍😁😮 this is Master of PS!!! I wish have his knowledge,.oh god,..he is God of PS!!! I watch his for years,...incredible things,...
Sometimes I wonder if the guys at adobe knows that they have these features in their product😂
Fenomenal Tutorial, now I have a question: How would you get the "Mistiness" of Renaissance art, If I was filming, I would use a "Black Mist 1/2" , other option , I would use a Mist Machine or Mist Spray, how to create thar suttle glare and fuzziness, Gaussian + Grain perhaps?
Curves is the sponsorship of Piximperfect channel 😂
Unmesh, can you make a video on product manipulation
Is there a similar method to color grading for video, maybe in LR (Premiere makes it too complicated)? If I remember well there is a way to sample and match colors there.
The fact that you have to do all these steps for what I consider a common task reminds me why I hate postprocessing so much and why I have so many raw images that will never see the light of day. It's like for copy pasting a file you'd have to write the code to do it. Someone needs to make a better photo manipulation tool.
Although this video and my comment seem to be different, somehow they relate to colour matching in compositing, and maybe someone finds it useful
Yesterday I cut out a subject from one picture and did compositing by adding it into another different scenario, For colour matching, I tried neural filter Color Transfer but it didn't work perfectly, then I tried harmonization and cut-out colour matched with the background picture with few additional colour adjustments.
mashallah
Unmesh Brother... I have a question about Screens to use while using Photoshop... Which laptop/PC screen is the best to use photoshop. Im getting a lot of color variations while using it in different Laptops and PCs. Please answe this. For example... If i edit the picture in my laptop and send it to my phone, the colors are looking sooo bright in my phone than the laptop. It happens all the time. Please solve this issue by answering this. Thanks
👍
I am using photoshop almost from 8 years, while watching this video i felt like i lost my brain cells 😅
Same here 😂
Same
aren't we all😂😂
My brain exploded.
Sir in whole RUclips no one has made video on vitiligo model can you please make it how to retouch the vitiligo to normal
Plot twist: the brown tint of older paintings is because of the varnish on top of it absorbing a lot of filth/dirt of the years/decades/centuries.
If you let a restoration guy replace it with a fresh new coating, the colors look great again.
A photographer did similar editing not long ago, and the client went nuts, in a bad way.
Is it possible to bring your skin tone to your video in pictures?
Give a tutorial if possible
thank you
