He is our sunshine, our only sunshine, he makes us happy when skies are grey, he'll never know dear, how much we loved him, because death took our sunshine away.
They were all hilarious ... but the king of silly voices (and silly faces) has got to be Micky, bar none! Young Mike in drag (as Princess Gwen) makes for a strangely pretty woman (even with the sideburns and screechy voice). Sadly, he's the only one left here on Earth, now that Mike has now joined Davy & Peter in the great Texas Prairie Chicken habitat in the sky.
You forgot one of Micky Dolenz pretty commonly used voices. The first example that comes to mind is in “Dance, Monkee, Dance” “yes sir, examine the witness. Right away sir. Examine, examine, examine, examine”
i have a few questions on some episodes since i didn't grow up with The Monkees show (1:01) - (4:24) - (6:09) - (6:51) - (1:23) - (7:52) - (8:10) which Monkees episodes are these seven scenes from? i'm asking this because i didn't grow up with the show
I believe those are from, respectively, "I Was a 99-Pound Weakling/Physical Culture", "The Monstrous Monkee Mash", "Here Come the Monkees", "The Monkees in Texas", "The Monkees on the Wheel", "Captain Crocodile", and "Monkees Get Out More Dirt". I hope that helps!
"What are we both doing dressed up like Uncle Sam?" That's what Peter Tork never said to Bob Denver. "I never got deeply involved into politics." That's what else Peter Tork never said to Bob Denver. Can you tell that the former State Secretary Henry Kissenger lasted a long time? He outlived most American government leaders. He was just like the Florida State Senator Claude Pepper; he never retired. 👗
Volume levels are inconsistent making it hard to listen to. No one likes having to strain to hear one clip and then go deaf hearing another. Maybe you could redo it.
I appreciate the criticism, and I'm genuinely sorry if I caused your ears any discomfort. However, I've been aware of the problem since I was making the video. The sources of the clips had various levels of sound, and though I tried to make them more even, it did not help enough to make a difference. Considering I don't think there are sources of every clip with similar volume levels, I will opt not to redo it.
@@hydrodipsomaniafilms2073 the loud, low, loud quality made me not even watch the entire video. It was too distracting playing with my volume every few seconds.
@@markzappasodi I genuinely apologize if I detracted from the quality of your life. I certainly wasn't trying to have the volume levels so inconsistent; it was out of my control.
@@hydrodipsomaniafilms2073 if u could demux and then run the audio through a sound editor (Audacity, et al) and normalize, then u can bring up the volume of the quiet clips so everything's at the same level. Then remux the audio bk to replace the old track. RUclips is supposed to normalize but reportedly unreliable. With this fun sequence of clips it would be worth it.
@@twhip I can't describe how grateful I am for this advice and your politeness while giving it. I took over a half hour out of my night to go try it out because I was so excited at the prospect of fixing it since it seemed to bother so many people. And it worked at first, so thanks again - the audio levels actually managed to become more even (albeit not perfect, which was probably the fault of my laziness and carelessness as it was the middle of the night). Still, I thought it was good enough and went straight to replacing the old audio with the fixed audio, and that's when things stopped working out. I know things can cause audio to speed up or slow down, and that must have happened here because it would no longer match up with the video; even if it did at the beginning, I would skip ahead and they'd be terribly out of sync, and I'd much rather have an in-sync video with wonky audio than an out-of-sync video with somewhat better audio. If you have any advice on having that not happen, I'd love to hear it! Unfortunately in the meantime I can only apologize again for the inconvenience and my incompetence. Thank you for the hope you gave me, though. Maybe someday it will be better.
RIP Peter....Talented and sweet. Prayers
Loved him best. 💜
The Monkees deserve to be in the RocknRoll Hall of Fame. Their TV show should be honored for excellent comedy programming. :-)
agreed
I agree it's about time
The Monkees TV show did win 2 Emmys.
Lawl. Sometimes Mike’s “funny silly voice” is just his voice. 😂
I like how Davy always did british accents even though he was british lmao
Mike as the princess is my favorite
hahahahaha, yep
HAROLD YOU BETTER GET THIS CARRIAGE OUT OF THE MUUUD
They were so funny!🐵🙊🙈🙉
Indeed :)
These guys were really talented and a lot of fun. I love them. They put a big smile on my face.

Mike's little noise he makes at 2:54 is precious.
Also just... Princess Gwen. Golden.
TOP Peter Tork and Davy Jones.:-)
Mike`s silly voices I like
MAN THAT'S THE GROOVIEST LOOKING CHICK I EVER SAWWEER.
Davy Jones (1945-2012)
Peter Tork (1942-2019)
Michael Nesmith (1942-2021)
OMG, Davy looks amazing with the short hair. He really was a handsome guy.
6:04="Palladium up in the sky."
I've since realized lol - though thanks very much for the clarification!

Thank you

I used that clip in my first, exclusively-Micky version of this video. You can see it here - ruclips.net/video/ynEA0qmrE4A/видео.html

@@hydrodipsomaniafilms2073 okay

Did Micky get a haircut in here come the Monkees
Actually, that was the first episode they filmed, so he probably hadn't grown his hair out as much yet!
Cool show but only 2 seasons?🤔
Do the monkees impressions videos by separate members
We already have a Micky one you can find on our channel!
Wish we could repair the audio here so that every clip is the same quality & volume-- the changes from one to the next are dramatic.
Too Much 😁
Was that Frank Zappa in the scene with Mike at the 4:58 mark?
Yes!
