If Micky Dolenz wasn't with the Monkees he would've done very well as a comic along the Charlie Callas mode. Micky was way ahead of his time. He was doing this type of humor 25 years before Jim Carrey. Thanks for posting. :-)
My favourite joke is still " I'm the 23 hour doorman" the other guy "you what!" Then he says "I used to be the 24 hour doorman but I couldn't take the long hours." Lol

The Monkees are my fovorite group ever, yes there are some better musical groups but with the music and the comedic acting there is no one that comes close to the Monkees as an all around entertaining band, ever. Mickey is such a funny guy a great drummer and he has an incredible voice. I am so happy that he is healthy and is doing a tour again playing all the great memorable hits that grab me by my heart and take me back to when I would run home from school to watch the Monkees joke,laugh and play great music. I miss the guys, Mike, Perer and Davey will be in our hearts for ever but we still have Mickey to rock with today and hopefully for a long time to come. I really hope that Mickey comes to Canada on his tour and will visit Toronto and let his fans show him how much that he and the Monkees are loved by us all.

Not to mention all the voice acting he did for Hanna Barbera & in 2006 he voice of the snuggle bear. He also said he was almost Micky Mouse in the 1990s . Micky should have won a Emmy. He was the Frodis plant which he did he 'real' time not speed up as mention and did the commentary for the esp.
Mickey is a natural talent. His screen tests were hysterical. He was so young snd wuick witted right from the start. He has onscreen presence and his ad libs made the TV show into the phenomen we know it today, not to down play the talents of the others.
You forgot the Frodis! In the final episode Micky did the voice of the Frodis....and without electronic enhancement! He was just able to do it. He demonstrated by doing it on the commentary track for the episode on the DVD.
BOTTOM LINE: MICKEY DOLENZ was always my favorite and the rest of the MONKEES will agree, Mickey was the CRAZY, WILD and HUMOROUS of the bunch. Mickey was also the most RESPECTFUL towards his BROTHERS. Mickey, the last MONKEE, GOD has already BLESSED YOU SIR and HEAVEN already has your place ready. GOD BLESS YOU MICKEY.

I legit had class with a guy who looked exactly like Micky at 1:28, just add round black nerd glasses and the side-sweep hair (dark brown), my sophomore year of college. They even sound similar, just with a little of Stan Ridgway of Wall Of Voodoo’s voice. Plus, he walks like him at 1:18
