I remember... I remember being in that exact location (I live in Willoughby, OH) I went with my grandma and my cousin. I loved TGI Fridays mac and cheese. Man, am I gonna miss that place
Mentor has a LOT of people and a LOT of restaurants. Tough competition. Great place to live. I eat at that Dibella's behind quite often. Never ate at that TGI Fridays.
In the early 90's, I would choose Friday's for my birthday dinner... the staff would tie balloons to my hair and that would make it stand up lol T.G.I..Fridays used to be such a vibe..! I wish I could go back in time!
Hey Wallie, I was an NS engineer over 20 years. Next time your In the Mansfield Oh area I can show you some spots that you might like. I also have some railroad logo stuff I can give you
The '90s were an exciting time for new restaurants and businesses opening. Now I don't get that vibe when I see a new place. I just think it's probably expensive and full of obnoxious people.
Wallie here's one to visit: The Nickelodeon Studios in Florida closed permanently in 2005 and has been abandoned for over 15 years. The building is still standing inside Universal Studios Orlando and offers a glimpse into the past with its distinctive Nickelodeon architecture.
I was a night cleaner in the Huntington Bank next door. I would go in TJI Friday's and kill time have a beer or two and get food while waiting for bank staff to leave so I could start my work
I love TGI Fridays aesthetics, it has a cool atmosphere to it. Especially the older ones. However you are right about the prices, the food are just generic. Nothing too special, still good tho.
Good video wallieb26. There are some abandoned places yep here in blairsville if you're ever up this way. A abandoned pharmacy and two old schools and abandoned Mexican restaurant. And many others in town. 😊
We used to have over a dozen locations here in Louisiana at one point in time. Now we are only down to one in Harvey Louisiana. I am in New Orleans it’s only 9 miles from me I haven’t been to one in over 18 years when I was in my early twenties.
You should explore the abandoned Golden Corral in Boardman Ohio. It closed down in 2016 and the building is still up. It's out in the open right beside the road so it may make you very vulnerable, but still would make an interesting video. I pass by the building everyday. lol.
A great video, Wallie! 👍👍👍👍👍👍 I never ate at TGI Friday's. Though, I do know that there's a location of this restaurant in Pittsburgh at West Homestead Waterfront. Is that TGI Friday's location is still open, Wallie? I used to go to Dave and Busters at West Homestead Waterfront, so I saw TGI Friday's there, but my friends and I ate at Dave and Busters.
Food quality want there anymore IMHO😮 last time i got the potato skins i ate half and sent them back😮 unfortunately they were an EIGHTIES had THAT slide downhill fast in the 2 thousands 😮😮😮
That's not the son of the actual owner though. The co-founder of Buc-ee's. Arch Aplin is the owner. Also, the guy responsible for these cameras got in big time trouble and is due in court and had already been in jail for it.. So, the justice system is doing its part and this creep just threw his life away.
Click like if you think wallie should do a DOUBLE HEADER abandoned place video. Both a CVS and a rite aid across from each other both closed within the last month in Painesville Ohio. Both at the intersection of E. Erie St and N. State St. Another unique one in Painesville. Kallays Chestnut TV (RCA) on Chestnut Street right next to the Norfolk Southern railroad Crossing
Makes me so sad seeing my old job going under slowly. I spent 4.5yrs at a Houston fridays. Great job 😢

It's just not the same now.😢
Sounds like the old Ground Round.
I haven't been to this location in 6 years on a date with my ex i had a good time good memories so much nostalgia
I worked at my local TGI Fridays for 11 years; great food , great people !
The TGI Fridays are falling down like what used to be a ton of Kmarts!
Love the content as always!
I figured Applebee's would be gone by now, but they keep offering specials sometimes cheaper than fast food.
the best thing about Friday's, was that back in the day, you could get gravy as a dipping sauce for your chicken tenders..
8:51 I love how you can see the "Fridays" label scar in the glow of the sunlight, toward the back of the building.
Love thi Friday's
20 years ago I was at TGI Fridays I go their every Friday I was 7 years old
The look reminds me of a similar uk place called Brewer's Fayre
I love that you're exploring Mentor. I grew up there! :) Great Lakes Mall was the best in the '90s.
i grew up in eastlake but i visit mentor frequently and love it
Awesome Wall

That would be wonderful! Thank you! As soon as I can swing out that way, I will!
Thanks for sharing I enjoy watching your videos
I used to work there as a busser in 1995 right after it opened. damn that brings back memories.

I do enjoy Fridays but it’s such a hit or miss for the money. I really liked their skillet chicken with cheese
Years ago my food was cold there and I haven't been back. I still pick up some of their frozen food at the store once in a while.
As always great video 👍
Another great video! This place does not look too bad on the inside and outside! Nice!

Thanks for the tour. This place would make a good fish and steak house
I love ur videos ❤❤
I was a night cleaner in the Huntington Bank next door. I would go in TJI Friday's and kill time have a beer or two and get food while waiting for bank staff to leave so I could start my work

Wow 👌 awesome video
What a great investment opportunity wow.
I didn't even know that this place was shut down. I did a lot of Door Dash orders here a few years ago
Speaking of TGI Friday in the Pittsburgh area closed
240 Mall Blvd, Monroeville, PA 15146
The Monroeville location had a fire. It said it is expected to open again around October 1st.
I wouldn't hold my breath but I have been wrong in the past. I guess we will see with this location.

Nice video
It would make a great Rockne's or Grinder's if they don't have a location out here!
We don’t have those in the greater cleveland area or at least on the eastern half of Cleveland
@@Tfan48 they should open there they would do good we have them in the medina akron and canton area's and they're always busy!
@@RyGuy0520 I live in mayfield and we can use those in tha area.

I remember stopping there a few years ago to check it out. I'm in Boardman periodically as I don't live all too far away!

High prices 😮 definitely can run a place in the closing of those places
They look like they could just open right back up as something different!
You need to come to oaklahoma all kinds of places open
I would LOVE to.

The Homestead TGI Friday's is closed as well.
As performed Awesome Video
Would make a nice 70s themed place
They closed up shortly around memorial day weekend. I live in Geneva ohio
there's an abandoned rite aid on euclid ave in willoughby you should check it out.
The letters with the TGI Fridays real big.
Take a look at Brandt's candies its in Willoughby lost nation road it's shut down but not to abandon
I’m not too far away from Baltimore.
Food quality want there anymore IMHO😮 last time i got the potato skins i ate half and sent them back😮 unfortunately they were an EIGHTIES had THAT slide downhill fast in the 2 thousands 😮😮😮
Google street view shows what it looked like in 2018 (most recent image)
W Vid!
❤
You should try the Painesville Abandoned BURGER King and right next to it Cvs and then Rite Aid all Abandoned in walking distances.
most of our Burger Kings in Lake County are closed,
Wouldn't that make a nice Primanti Bros.?
Hey wallie! Ohios First bucees opens in 2025 in Huber heights Ohio. Do you plan to go on the opening day?
If you don’t know, you’re supporting a business that the son of the owner got caught with cameras in the bathrooms 20 counts
