- Upanishads are the essence of Vedic philosophy, and one of the oldest available commentaries on topics such as self, purpose, truth and various mysteries of the Universe.
Chandogya Upanishad is an upanishad attached with Samaveda, and one of richest ancient philosophical expositions on the relationship between self (atman) and universe (brahman). It is a great representation of the ancient indian school of philosophy, spirituality and knowledge.

Thanks for such a highly spiritual sermon on the adhyatimic insights. Incidently I happened to bumped into this high level spiritual knowledge by an accident, I was reading "Geeta Rahasya" a great book by Shri Bal Gangadhar Tilak - wherein - in his initial chapters before entering into the actual "bhagwad geeta" explanations has given references to various veda and upanishads, all these references were going bouncers for me and out of curiocity I googled for upnishads when I came across this beautiful video. When I listened to the full video I was really overwhelmed that the Institute (Bhandarkar Prachya vidya sansthatn) is really doing a great job. Thanks again and would certainly view the other videos also.

When you say,..when Upanishad was written... our long standing claim of these holy VEDAS as revealed truth is defied. Secondly if the SHAVDA BRAHMA i.e the words of a part of all or any Upanishad is explained in details that is word by word or etymologically will be of immense interest and service to us and the humanity.

I was aware of Chhāndogya Upaniṣad (छान्दोग्य) and found you highly learned or erudite. I read a old book of 200 years old book or so 13 Principal Upanishads by max hume Old version. The present version has lot of spelling mystakes. Old vertion was just great👍👏😊.
Please Read 📚 ""PRACTICAL VEDANTA"" by SWAMI VIVEKANAND A, it is Far more Lucid and Beautiful than This lady ( I am not Belittling her Effort, but the difference is She is a Scholar not A person who has realized BRAHMAN/ ATMA, that is unlike SWAMI VIVEKANAND who was BRAHMAN Gyani)
I want to ask that has BORI removed Bhagwat Gita from the Critical Version of Mahabharat as an Interpolation or is Bhagwat Gita there in the Critical edition. Pls answer.
Rama krishna mission comes with 108 Upanishads but really 98 Upanishads.
Sorry to Point out the Flaw, Ramakrishna Mission , has 10 UPANISHADS and all of them using Adi Shankaracharya 's notes.
