I am retired US Veteran .. I moved to Bacolod City 3 years ago..I have a WONDERFUL Filipina wife, baby and AWESOME Filipino family !! My BEST YEARS !!! " SALAMAT !!"
I love his shows so much. Your comedy can be so important to people. I’m Puerto Rican, born, and raised. Mother of 4, married to the military, more than 4 duty stations. Now I am Divorced, with Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer. I am kept alive with the medication they give me. 5 years going strong. I first watched Jo on Netflix, Seattle, and that show for me was so important. Because I needed to boost my immune system, and laugh more often. Here is a “minority”, saying things that I relate too. Vicks! I grew up with Vicks! Vicks was everything growing up. We eat almost the same food. So many things, even how his mom was, my grandmother was like his mom. But that show, made me love comedy again. There is something very special about Jo, and it’s ingrained on his upbringing. My mom also had the rice bag, that large bag, on the floor, with the cup inside it. There is something about his comedy, he is so detailed, and he does it going and digging in there, but it doesn’t sound dirty. Even when he tries, it sounds like a beautiful song. Now I am crying, because I watched him tear up, and I am sad that Netflix treated him this way. This is not the only time Netflix has done this to comedians who are minorities. Thank GOD they came to their senses! I went back to watch the Seattle show, even though I have seen it a million times, because you will cure this cancer. Lol. And I watched it with sadness. But….you killed that one Jo, you were born to do this. 🎉 I am so happy you got another special, they better keep you or I will cancel Netflix. Actually….I cancelled it a long time ago, I am using my ex’s account log in. Free Netflix. 😂. I am so proud of you Jo. Look at you, you are the man. I might do what your mother does in the toilet full time! I’ve done it before when I run out of toilet paper. 😂. All your shows are amazing, and that’s the thing about Jo, he is still…..funny! Always, funny! We love you Jo!
Hope you get better. My ex had cancer and leukemia. She gave up on life but just when things were at the worst. When she could only afford to eat wild picked veggies(she lost all her money on medication). She got better. Wild veggies if you can find em will heal almost anything.
Filipinos are a great & friendly people, has fantastic talents such as Nurses, speak fluent English, sing like rock star, play & win world billiards, sing in Disney movies, has more gold than the USA , won all major beauty titles, rich in natural resources, has beautiful white sand beaches and perfect climate. Some westerners retire here & most claim the Philippines is a paradise ❤
I love the way he connected all his jokes in a narrative story….. like a montage and the funny part is accent , the acting and Filipino nuances are accurate well scripted and delivery. Galing
as a Canadian who loves comedy, Jo Koy is my favorite male comedian alive today - not only is his punch line a classic, he's a brilliant writer - comedy is something that cannot be taught, you have to THINK funny to write funny & he's one of the best I've heard in many years
the directions are so true 😂 my supervisor gave me the instructions on how to get to the office and he said, when u see the mall on you left, turn left, walk until you reach the three dogs under a bridge and then turn right, when you see the indian mango tree outside a building, means you made it. 😂😂😂
Arnel Pineda is a humble man, inspite of his success and fame...Godbless and continue to your passion in singing..Frontman /lead vocalist band Journey❣️
Jo Koy's mum is currently backing the pride of the philippines The Reo Brothers tribute band on their USA tour and has plans for a world tour for them next year ... if you want to see and hear an incredible tribute act who are an internet phenomenon go check them out you will not be disappointed and once you get into them you will be hooked guaranteed!
Hahahha you better write that story about Arnel Mr. Jokoy!!! He has a sad, hard life and beautiful story to tell, very deep yet Arnel triumph and success it's amazing 👏 👏 ♥️ Thanks for the laugh 😃 😀 😄.
Filipinos are really blessed people....God given talents are indescribably awesome.. can't thank you God enough for everything..for the gift of life...🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🇵🇭
Naw, unsurprisingly, she's already regretting the decisions she's made. She was spotted drinking herself to almost death recently, and the people in that club heard her scream about wanting her fame back. Talk about bad decisions.
As far as I know, when a filipino kid sings so well, filpino parents would usually want the kid to be a singer and kept on pursuing the kid in joining singing contests.
OMG! JOKOY, you are HILLARIOUS all the time. I never get tired of watching your comedy over and over again. You are my Tylenol. Good times and bad achy times. You make my life sing.🥰🥰🤣. Thanks for sharing your vlogs.💖💖💖
I was worried about white teeth over here after that movie of his flopped, this trailer was actually very good I'm glad his special is showcasing his true talent. 🙌
Good job Jo Koy...you also made a blue print..in comedy. You did not became a nurse but you follow what you love doing. It is so hard to make people laugh...and it even harder to cinceptualize and create a joke. Another fellow Filipino..JR de Guzman is paving his way on comedy coupled with singing...Arnel made it through...in God's grace. If Charice Pempengco di d not open up earlier about her sexuality preference...had patiently waited and became big in the music industry and earn a lot of money until she became rich...maybe she is one of the greatest filipino artist in U.S that will also mark a blueprint. But we have to respect her/him.
I don't care how long it takes Jo Koy to tell his story, his punch line will be the killer, you'll laugh till you wish you had used the washroom before listening to Jo
We're a unique people, God has blessed us with a kind heart and joyous attitude in life. Gifted with talent for singing, almost everyone can sing. Hospitable to a fault, lastly, incorrigibly romantic. (Just listen to our native songs).
Have you ever heard of the Filipino musician Larry Ramos? Check out the band called “The Association”. They had a couple of super popular hit songs in the 60s: Cherish and Windy. Larry Ramos sang lead in unison and played guitar on both of those tunes.
His father did not leave them. It was Arnel who decided not to go with his father and brothers, instead he went on his own, to lessen his father's burden.
i wanted to become a rockstar and just like what jokoy said long time ago my mom told me to become a Nurse! and yes i've been here in america and sick and tired of being nurse!!!!
See it is great to hear that every culture has their own idiosyncrasies that we can laugh at. Negative stereotypes are bad thing but sometimes a person can make fun of the eccentricity of a culture and we can identify them and laugh at them. There’s a black man I know how my dad and uncle carry themselves in a barbershop and I can easily point that out to someone else who’s never been in a black barbershop before and make them laugh. It’s good to hear Jo talk about the Filipino culture yes that culture has some idiosyncrasies and I want to hear what they are. Tell me how Filipino nurses feel tell me how Filipino moms behave I don’t know but I want to know yes when he tells a joke it may take things to the extreme but as long as he does it with good intentions at heart I am OK with it because it sheds a little light on the culture to me and it makes me laugh.
I 💜 your comment. I feel the same way. Thanks to RUclips, I get to experience watching a variety of performances of stand up comedians from different parts of the world. I believe that watching them had made me more open-minded about different cultures and at the same time appreciate my own a lot more. 😊

Amazing!!! but he is still humble❣️❣️❣️❣️
I love the way he connected all his jokes in a narrative story….. like a montage and the funny part is accent , the acting and Filipino nuances are accurate well scripted and delivery. Galing

I was doubtful at first about Arnel Pineda being the singer for Journey, but he is so AMAZING. He has made Journey continue to live.
When you realize that Jokoy is writing tbe story of himself but made Arnel as an excuse is so funny 😂😂😂

If Charice did not change path for sure she'll be one of the Philippine's greatest achievers..but still proud of him now.
Facts
charice who🤷
Nah, her or his head gotten so big at the peak.
So where is she?
Naw, unsurprisingly, she's already regretting the decisions she's made. She was spotted drinking herself to almost death recently, and the people in that club heard her scream about wanting her fame back. Talk about bad decisions.
His impression of a Filipino dad is spot on 🤣🤣🤣
Well he is a Filipino himself
As far as I know, when a filipino kid sings so well, filpino parents would usually want the kid to be a singer and kept on pursuing the kid in joining singing contests.
