- In this video you will learn what to check before buying a new car battery or even a new motorcycle battery. First thing to check the manufacturing date which shouldn't be older then 6 month , i recommend not older then 3 months from the date of purchasing. Second thing you need to check the battery plastic casing visually if it have a damage or cracks of any kind or not .
Then you need to check the electrolyte level if it needs a top up then do ask the seller to do that and finally check the battery voltage it shouldn't be less then 12.25 volt if the voltage is lower then ask the seller to charge it before fitting the battery in your vehicle.
Its also best to give your old battery to the seller where you are about to buy a new battery so you get good scrape value for the old battery.
