  • Hello! :) It's time for a flipthrough of my planners. In this video, I'll be going over my Sterling Ink Common Planner A5 and my Sterling Ink Common Planner N1. Also, surprise little LondonGifties haul at the end. It's a bit of a long one, hope that's okay!

As an Asian female, I absolutely know what you mean by wanting stickers with characters that look more like you. I tend to stay away from things with humanoid images specifically because the beautiful ones that I like are European and I don't like the look of the Asian ones I see. There have been a few, and I'm tempted to buy every roll they have left 🤣 Edit: oops, I forgot that links are usually eaten in comments... but I went to Etsy, searched for "boy PET tapes" and there were a few different ones.

I hope with time we'll see more and more diverse tapes/stickers, so that we can all have the experience of finding characters that look a bit more like us. Luckily, there are so many themes of decoration, so there's plenty left to decorate with.
Ooh, be right back, just casually going to scroll through Etsy now 😉 Thanks for the idea!

I think it's autumn in the southern hemisphere right now... there's no legislation that says you must decorate with the season of your current GPS location 😂

Wait... that's actually allowed?! Your comment is actually a good reminder that I should stop making arbitrary rules for myself -- life's too short to keep yourself from just having fun in your planner. Thank you! 😊

How you feel about language learning and how much mental energy left that you have at the end of the day is so relatable! Me too, yes, me too! Good streak with the Duolingo - small things that help into the bigger language learning :D
What metal clip do you use to bookmark, by the way?
The monthly deco is sooo cute! Love them!!
Thanks for bringing us through your train of thought especially on the Weekly part!
I myself already accept the fact that I won't be filling it in full, so I keep switching week by week what I want to fill in those, depends on my mood. This week it is "train of thought in the morning", previous 2 weeks were gratitude log, before that it was schedule. Hehe.
Ohhhh... That daily spread with the mostly green and bluish ink! 😍
Funny that you mention about wanting to use autumny, halloween-y, christmas-y deco at the end of the year and then cherry blossom now 😂 that makes me laugh! well for spring there are different types of flowers! :D and starting on the greenies again!
    That haul!
Love this video type without rigid structure. It's cozy.

Thank you Fi, glad you like this type of video! And glad I'm not the only one struggling to do hobbies with a limited amount of energy left at the end of the day. The metal clips are from Midori! (they call them index clips, and I have them in both silver and "orange" -- I still don't get why they didn't call them copper or something).
I like how you switch things up depending on your mood, that's actually a really good idea. Sometimes I get too caught up in trying to find the "perfect" layout, but that might not actually exist. As in: the perfect layout might differ depending on my mood.

Your experiment with the layout looks nice, hope you perfect it so it works well for you.
For the last three weeks I have been experimenting in my hobo weeks with vertical layouts and even though I like how they look I find it quite messy when both appointments and tasks are in the same column. Appointments just don't pop-up the same way they do when they are on the left side and the todo's are on the right empty page.
Next week I'm trying a completely new layout that I'm hating already, which might be one reason why I'm really tempted to throw the whole weeks aside and buy a completely new planner. At least this experiment will make me appreciate the "normal" weeks layout when I'm back to it.
Maybe if I would be in a vertical at some point again, I might do what you are doing which is to split the page and have the top part for appointments and the bottom for todo's. It's much more clear that way.
The headless girl in that one washi tape might be good sticker to use for a halloween spread. At least then she won't go to waste.

I laughed way too hard at the last part, I might have to save that sticker for halloween 🤣
Totally understand how an experiment that in the end you didn't like can make you appreciate the original layout more. It can sometimes be a bit of a struggle to find a way to tweak a layout so it works for you, when the layout you'd prefer either doesn't exist or you just don't really know what the best layout would be. Luckily, every week or month can be a new chance to experiment (if you can live with a failed experiment here and there 😅
