I totally get you with the preplanning and then not using the pages! It's so fun and soothing to put down stickers and deco. But then the joy of decorating a new spread is gone, and it's not as motivating to use it. I learned I have to save decorating for when I set up my week/ day and find other ways to get that feeling in between, like making collage art or a decorated journal page to record a special moment.
yes!! You understand me!! that is a good idea about finding an alternative during the in-between periods. I decorate journal pages but sometimes that can feel like too much. I might start doing small collage art pieces like you recommended. Then I can save them and glue them into my journal as I go.
I'm so happy to have been able to pass it on to you to try out. The font is much lighter than the Hobo which I enjoyed since I used Part 1 as a journal and not so much a planner.
Thank you!! ❤️❤️ oh yes, I can see why the font being lighter would help with journaling. It’s been two weeks and it doesn’t really bother me at all now.
Sterling Ink makes plenty of great date stickers. That was actually the thing I started buying first before I got into her planners. Plus love the florals. :)
thanks for sharing the flip through of the common planner! Like you, I was pretty firmly in my hobonichi cousin, so I haven’t watched too many videos on them. I look forward to your set up video, and I’d be curious to hear what you think of the paper! also, attaching tissue paper to your pencil board is genius!
@@StationeryDumpling I look forward to watching it! ALSO! Did you know that Wonderland222 is making their 2025 planners (except the undated A5) and notebooks with Tomoegawa TR paper? 😮
I'm super curious as to whether the Sanzen feels different than what the Hobonichi used this year! I have only been hearing people complain about the Hobo paper.
I have been thinking the same thing ever since you mentioned it on Discord. It’s too soon to tell. I’m not sure about you, but for my Hobonichi, the writing experience is fine and then a random page will ABSOLUTELY not be fine. Is that how yours is? So I wonder if that’s how this Sterling Ink will be. So far, it is good but I think a lot of my pens write wet. Compared to the original old paper tho, it is not on the same level of buttery smoothness.
@@StationeryDumpling I am not using the Hobonichi, only the weeks. I think I was hearing basically what you said. People felt like the Sanzen is generally fine, but it seemed like some people were randomly getting a second machine experience throughout their planners. I have the B6 Sterling Ink undated and that has been fine.
@@cerealnana it’s been two weeks now and I’m sad to report that I dislike the Sanzen paper in the b6 sterling ink, too 😅😂. Ran into some rough pages while journaling
"WHOA SHIT!!" You should have kept all of that if you started to show us the inky flop xD!! I would have loved to see the mess xD that was scary but funny at the same time xD I hope things were fine! I actually realy like how simplistic that layout looks and the lightness of the black is not a terrible issue, but if you have poor eyesight, it definitely could be a problem. I don't like that Hobonichi has a ton of red and black all over and I have no need for those, but I'm not a planner girlie, so that's why it doesn't really do much for me. I have enjoyed my plain/grid notebooks more than the planners. I feel like seeing this, I might wanna just go back to bullet journaling because that was very fun when I had time and energy HAHA!
loll thankfully it wasn't too much of a mess! definitely surprised me, tho! hahaha. I am thinking I might go back to bullet journaling for real next year... the red and black in the hobo never bothered me. I just enjoyed that it was all set up for me. If I set up a bujo ahead of time... it might help.

Her 2025 is much darker
Oh yeah I saw that!!

Oooh i kinda forgot she had stickers! That’s so true. Her floral designs are incredibly beautiful

Wow, that's really good. That's very attractive
Thank you. I’m excited to use it.

Both are TRP but sterling paper is 100 x better
It’s called pebbled 😊
That’s right. Thank you! 😅
