Kind people are always so eager to take accountability and responsibility. This makes them easy targets for toxic personalities. #abusiverelationships #toxic #healing
Religion is not toxic. God saves and makes you free. You don't seem free and at peace, but irritated and agitated, but maybe it's a part of your journey.
I agree with your point, but you have to understand that the people who worship God ***can*** be extremely toxic. Which leads to a toxic relationship with God and the church. This creates a trauma response when seeing certain things related to the church because it reminds these people of their toxic family or friends. Or maybe the church they went to was corrupted. Not everyone takes the Bible bluntly, and different denominations interpret the Bible differently. Many people and many churches try to twist the Bibles verses and stories to fit their own political or moral values, rather than learn morals bluntly from the Bible itself. It is sad, but it's also life. Blame not the woman who got burned by bad faith Christians. Sometimes you need to walk away and heal before you can face God and His love again
The thing is, even if God is perfect, humans are not. And we tend to screw things up, and misinterpret things, and hurt each other without meaning to. Religion is practiced by humans, so it's going to be imperfect. We humans give everything we touch an element of the problematic.
Well said!….However, you will always have work and life challenges. Get ready for the next 40+ years…all the best.
Me! Catholic upbringing, undiagnosed neurodivergence, generational trauma. 40 and having a lot of therapy 😆
I enjoy the sentiment but frankly I don't think it's our time. There's still too much in the way. Better to just stand back and stay out of it.

Not all religion is about god/gods. Religion is widely used as a weapon to justify your toxic behaviour - just like you are doing in your comment.
