Figure Note:
Stop-Motion Transformation of Mechanical Alliance SX-01 Thunder Warrior. Decent rendition of Bumblebee Movie “Blitzwing”. Apparently this was Zeta’s first draft of their figure which for some reason was released by this new company called Mechanical Alliance. I might have gotten the Zeta if I had realized, since it is a bit more refined of a design, but this version is pretty good and will serve just fine in my collection. This video manual would probably work for most of the Zeta steps too. I cannot stress enough that you need to turn the little jet nozzles on his back to vertical to get it to jet mode - otherwise they will be in the way.

Production Note: Sorry for all the incidental movement, some of the transformation joints are a bit loose and wrestling his nose cone bits into place is particularly fiddly so I kind of had to do it all at once.
Viewing Note:
If you want to follow along, I recommend skipping to the speed run and using the Chrome plugin called "Frame by Frame for RUclips". It turns your , and . keyboard keys into single-frame movement keys. Every step of the transformation is documented in the frames of the video, in what I consider to be the best sequence. With minimal rubbing and minimal parts-parking.

That jet mode is fantastic. And it get's to robot mode without even a fake part! Zeta looks like they could be a worthy successor to Unique Toys if their engineering keeps delivering like this.
Let’s just hope they don’t get hit too hard from that Unicron fiasco

@@andreyofdoom According to the description, although this figure doesn't have Zeta's name on it, it's similar enough to theirs that they are likely the designers.
@@maxmocs5008 I read that the designer sold this design to both companies and Zeta refined it further. But neither company designed it to begin with.

Pretty good transformations, but sadly not the best. Stopmotion wassim makes very smooth transformations, but his/her music taste is horrible
@@Iknowhowbadthisnameis8828 Wassim animates very smooth transformations, but his objectives are different from Peolesdru. He does videos that are short scenes to show off the figure he's overviewing. Peolesdru makes these to be visual transformation guides. Personally I think they're each the best of their categories.

Your note about how this is a Zeta prototype makes a lot of sense, this figure is extremely similar to it in terms of transformation. I'd been thinking that for a while and its good to know the reason why.
The way the nose cone folds up is just 😩
How much cleaner can you possibly get.. this is almost equivalent to a transformable 3A figure

@@mechanwhal6590 blitzwing is a triple changer like shatter and dropkick. The fact that they didn't show him triple change even once means that this is starscream my collection. That they made him blitzwing is because they couldn't kill off starscream but they wanted to kill off someone so that way it starts off the movie with their being a major death on both sides
@@Lemuel928 Starscream is too marketable to die that early on in the rebooted bayverse, imo it should've been Thundercracker or Skywarp.

This one looks particularly tough to transform!
The first few times is an absolute nightmare because there's so many panels & joints to manipulate. But once you understand where everything goes in what order, it's surprisingly intuitive & satisfying when everything clicks into place, especially when going from robot to jet mode. It's not that bad actually. I've had worse experiences with some of Hasbro's other MPM lines *cough Ironhide *cough
This is really, really nice and makes a complete and utter mockery of the mess that is Movie Masterpiece Starscream which was some wings on top of a bunch of robot parts.
Completely agree. Would love to see a movie Starscream that actually turns into an F-22 Raptor.

Finally, A jet-mode transformer that actually looks like a jet! (of course, it's the 3rd party companies that make it work).
Honestly, Mech Alliance could repaint this figure to resemble real-life F4 Phantoms, cause I'd buy one!

Fantastic model! really the only nitpick I have is the size of the rear end of the jet mode, the front 2/3rds is so well proportioned and then the tail is just so chibified. I think I could get over it if the vertical stabilizer and elevators were bigger, but them being so small in conjunction with the shortness of the rear end just doesn't vibe right. Otherwise this is a fantastic figure and I would buy it if I had the money, but the autism just kicks in hard when I look at the back of the plane

I like this more over Zeta as this one has better looks and the wings collapse is better. In Zeta's it's absolutely MEH, ruins the spiky feeling of them. My Mechanical Alliance one is on the way from the store :3

April fools idea: The transformation from bot to vehicle is just the reversed video of vehicle to bot. Or make them both the reverse of eachother (in a normal video). :)
All my videos of bot-to-vehicle are just the vehicle-to-bot reversed. I only ever shoot the vehicle-to-bot sequence.

This is awesome, how long did that take to record?
I don't recall exactly, but an item of that complexity takes me about 2-2.5 hours to shoot and another 1-1.5 hours to edit.

What I don't get is if this was the first draft of the Zeta, why are the wings on the Zeta looking worse like that's the first draft. Also this company is connected to black Mamba who aren't new. Did this transformation feel fiddly and pain in the ass? It looked way too many panels. Nowhere near refined like the transcraft bumblebee.
It was a pain in the ass until I worked out the order of operations. It's not too bad the way I have it figured.
Hope you make a video how to replace his battery..

Knocked it out of the park again peolesdru! How would you say the qc is on this? It being black mamba gives me the heebiejeebies for the actual quality of it. How is the paint feeling on yours, I've seen some people have the paint rub off on their fingers.
It's fine. It uses a lot of nylon parts and those are notoriously un-paintable. I could see the paint not adhering, but I haven't noticed it happen to me.
Yet again 3rd party nocks it out of the field through the clouds while Hasbro in the dug out with finger up their nose.
Well... you have to consider that Hasbro is trying to target the mass market with low entry price points while these 3rd parties cater to collectors with less volume and cost 10x more than typical Hasbro. With the "War for Cybertron Trilogy Line", I would say Hasbro is offering almost Masterpiece levels of articulation with Standard Toy Prices which in itself is pretty amazing. It does have to be said though, thanks to these 3rd parties, it forces Hasbro to up their quality... that's why Capitalism is great... consumers always win in a free, capitalist economy.
@@TLNetworkGuru That's the thing. Hasbro is delivering really well in their mainlines, but lately, has ranged from sub-par to terrible in their collector lines. I think Richform is referring to the latter.
Hasbro is targeting a wider audience and so have to meet more regulatory guidelines, so you have to take that into account.

I only ever rage quite XTB Locke because at a minimum I need the figure to not disintegrate as I transform it. This figure is fiddly, but pretty well constructed.
