Thanks. I'd really like to figure out how to have you on as a co-host sometime. What time are you generally home on a Wednesday? You're two hours behind EST, yes?
Just got this figure in the mail yesterday and I can honestly say it's one of the best and most well-designed Transformers I've ever owned. And I didn't even really like TLK Hot Rod that much!
Wow, this transformation looks pretty complex. I like the alt mode and the robot mode, but unfortunately I didn't like this character being Hot Rod. Didn't look like it in the movie so I don't have a lot of attachment to it (and Hot Rod is one of my favorites Transformers). But as always your video is incredible. Thanks for taking the time to do it.
Been waiting to find someone who does stop motion videos of Transformer figures' transformation! So glad to see your vids now..i wonder how many shots it took you to make this..such patience and skill!
@@peolesdru I agree, I absolutely despised the character in the movie, but I love the look of this figure. Actually, there was no character to him, just a french accent shoved inside a giant robot.
Thanks a lot for this. I often find the static instructions very hard to follow. Your video clearly showed every step from car to robot and (more importantly) back to car. Plus, unlike most people making instructional transformation videos, you did it without that annoying "then you move this into that and move this piece over to that piece, second verse same as the first" commentary.
This is exactly what my videos are for! I'm so glad it helped. I don't do dialogue since a picture is worth 1000 words and it allows anyone speaking any language to follow my sequences. My pet peeve with the reviewers is when they go into some "important step" and they have allowed the figure to wander out-of-frame. Also their hands are constantly in the way.
It's not perfect, but it's still great. The main criticism I have is that the hood/chest is way too parallel when it should be tilted down like the original Hot Rod.
Any idea how to fix a loose wing? Like, loose as in the sliding door, not the bending joint. The door sliding on the metal rod is loose af on my figure, and Id like to tighten one of them. :/ Fantastic piece, though.
peolesdru Like, work it back and forth WHILE it dries? A dab of glue plus some teetering? I heard that also works for making a ball joint tighter (or Nail Polish) is that also true?
@@vina.5832 Yes. Superglue hardens into a kind of resin, so it creates more friction in any kind of joint you can get it into. I will repeatedly let it start to stick and then move the part over and over until it stops sticking at anymore, then it's done. The key is to move the part frequently while it dries or otherwise you won't have a joint anymore! The sliders on Toyworld Evila Star wings were too loose so I put the glue on the metal rods they slide on (not unlike the door rods on this figure) and slid the wing up and down for a couple of minutes until the glue was dry.
peolesdru Thank you, will attempt, since I trust your experienced word. Recently I’ve been able to fix a few bakugan joints/springs and TE-02 3rd Party Bumblebee’s loose parts (antennae and bumpers). I think I have enough confidence now to rapidly move my fingers enough with krazy/super glue on my $150 DX9 Hot Rod 😂😭
Closest is Alien Attack Firage. I just posted my video for the recent KO OS (so now the size of an MPM) for supporters on peolesdru.locals.com. Come back next week and see it premiere on RUclips for the general population.
Because they don't have the rights to put the original name, otherwise the producers would get a debt for using the name of a character they don't own and the figure wouldn't be produced anymore
I think the transformation is wonderful. Requires virtually no parts-parking if you do it in the order I present. Can you imagine some sort of Uber-MPM figure that had as many parts as the original CG model?
Utterly insane. The very definition of Masterpiece.
These are definetly the best stop motion sequences on youtube.
I appreciate it!
You should also check out the lazy eyebrow. His stop motion is just as good but with funny commentary. Both these guys are awesome.
The head following the camera is a nice touch.
Always happy to see intricate transformations.
Thanks! Always happy to film them.
Je m'appelle hot rod
Just... wow...
The engineering put into this figure, is just absolutely amazing.
This just came up on my recommended. You do gods work. I'm not afraid to transform hound anymore. Thank you.
You're welcome. Glad to provide a better guide.
Yes! Love the new rotoscopic intro style, peolesdru! Keep up the fantastic work!
Thanks! I shall endeavor to do so.
Thank you so much for posting this! It's been a godsend using this to transform La Hire back to car mode rather than those really bad instructions!
Exactly my intent. Glad to help!
that transformation is ridiculously complex.. well done
Ooooooh, neat intro!!
You and Sun Of The Empire have quickly become my most-exited-about-a-new-video Transformers guys.
Very clean figure. Love the glossy black. Love that bit of animation in robot mode. Good work!
Thanks. I'd really like to figure out how to have you on as a co-host sometime. What time are you generally home on a Wednesday? You're two hours behind EST, yes?
peolesdru I was leaving work just as your stream started last week. Lemme see about my schedule this week
We'll need to work out the technical details ahead of time. I think I can use Skype as an input for OBS.
peolesdru ceremonial technical difficulties will be had I’m sure lol

DX9/UT make some amazing figures.
one of my favourite! masterpiece scale & human alliance design
It's an exceptional piece.
Me sorprende que este canal no tenga tantos subscriptores si es genial!
¡Gracias! ¡Asegúrate de decirle a tus amigos!
Am I the only one who thinks the last bit of the robot mode transformation there, the bit with the arms, looks like he's having a morning strech?
if these were more fluid in movement, i would think this was a render. good job!
Amazing video my friend. He looks like an engineering marvel
He really is. Got mine yesterday and he's fun to transform and excellent in both modes!

Yeah - the Bay team had a habit of just using the names of beloved characters without giving two shits about the actual characters.
@@peolesdru They just did new things with them. This has happened plenty of times in the past.

@@highcaliburx3751 You mean the robots in the Michael Bay movies were poorly-defined characters? Sacre Bleu!
@@peolesdru Basically, yeah. 😆
Trop bien
TakaraTomy needs to make their version of Movie Hot Rod.
At this point they'd just embarrass themselves.
@@peolesdru Well, like I said before, UniqueToys/DX9 should team up with TakaraTomy. That would be awesome.
Thanks so much filming it =D
That’s a cool transformer 😎👍
One of my favorites of 2019!
Subscribed! Thank you.
Thanks! Enjoy the videos.
A genius or a madman engineer that toy.

Is it related to Unique Toys somehow?
I believe so.
how did you get this figure my brother watched it and he wants it now
He came into TFSource first and they still have it in stock: tfsource.com/dx9/k3-la-hire/

I use superglue. You apply it and work the slide in and out until the glue dries - a few minutes.

Not likely to. My viewer base seems to be mostly older folks that can afford this hobby.
Nice video but I can't close the door tightly.
I like hot rod the last knight
welcome to the hydraulic press channel, and today we gonna press a Lamborghini into a robot

omg
One of the rearview mirrors on mine was broken off in-box by the time it got to me... :(
Sorry to hear! It must have happened at the factory. You should be able to glue it on - it isn't involved in the transformation at all.
