I saw Obama speak live in 2007 or 2008 after the speech all my friends knew then and there he was going to be president. It was a moment in history for sure.

This is one of the greatest speeches in Presidential history. Everything about it is perfect. Truly a moment where every American could look at their TV screen and think “thats my god damn president”.

Such a simpler time with Obama I might be a Republican but I respect this man. I like him as a person. I even believe some of the top Republican candidates appreciated Obama since we were so much better off back then

i think he was the last us president who was mentally stable. after him the term american president has lowered in value.
He heavily damaged the american economy, exacerbated the failing american healthcare system, and paved the way for liberals and the rainbow cult to terrorize american families with propaganda and the legalization of hormone-altering drugs that damage children's growth and development. Some of it was intentional; some of it wasn't.
But he *could* deliver a coherent speech, and was at least partially respected by other world leaders. I can't say that about our current "president."

I was in 7th grade in P.E class doing our stretches outside when our P.E teacher was looking at his phone, he told us that Osama bin Laden had just been killed. I remember a kid laughing nervously and saying, "Man, this feels kinda weird, I hope we don't get attacked or something." I still remember that, and it indeed was a very weird day. But the next day we all forgot about it 😂

There was something about the way Obama talked with power and confidence that just made you feel safe as an American he spoke like a president should calm and collective, informative and power but not over cocky but never lacked or missed representing our country as the face and a speaker
