    I wish I'd discovered you months ago. I'm an Astro A50 user who hasn't run into any serious problems until their most recent firmware update completely turned the headset into a paperweight. Their customer support is nonexistent and I may as well be talking to a wall at this stage... Really not sure what to do with this pretty-looking junk now since it's no longer under warranty either.

    I just bought Cloud Alpha yesterday and it has really good quality sound cause i tested Cloud II too in a tech market. But I have little cons about Alpha, it has a clamp force on just bottom of my ear and jaws. It is of pressure a lil bit and that makes me feel uncomfortable. I cant be sure it goes off ? What's your take about using something like the EPOS PC38X or some other. With the GameDAC gen 2 so you can use sonar to save your EQ to the GameDAC and have access to the Chatmix using the DAC knob. At this point that's what I'm considering. I really like many of the things the Arctis offer. The features. But other headphones have sound closer to my taste or better mic.
    I already have Sonar and use it on my current headphones and tune the mic. I've also look at the EPOS Audio H6PRO. Thing is I keep finding many decent cans on sale. Constantly. Also, the GameDAC is always on ebay for like half the price. Or a quarter without any cables.

    • @BadIntentStreamTechReviews
      @BadIntentStreamTechReviews  6 месяцев назад

      It's a good combination and I've used the PC38X with the GameDAC Gen 2. It has more than enough power for it (over 80% volume can cause distortion in the bass), and the EQ options are nice for console.
      For much less bass and FPS focused, the H6PRO is better, but for more bass, definitely the PC38X.

    • @Omizuke
      @Omizuke 6 месяцев назад

      @@BadIntentStreamTechReviews Thanks a lot for the reply. This info is very valuable for me. I have uncommonly good hearing compare to everyone I know. So volume isn't an issue. And not much of a bass fan on headset. I like it there, but not too strong. Different story on speakers. Looking more for details, and sound separations. I'll bump the H6Pro higher on the list. And guessing the 38X below Philips 9500.
      Anyway thanks again!

    • @BadIntentStreamTechReviews

      List would be mostly the same honestly. The main difference is just headsets with low gain from the 3.5 jack like the Penrose won't get as loud. So same top 5, but maybe take out Penrose.

    @pedrodaniel8710 11 месяцев назад

    Hello, I live in Brazil and I've enjoyed your content very much. Congratulations on your work! I'd like your help in deciding which model would be best for me. Many of the models you mentioned are not available here, so I've gathered some of the best options within my reach:
    1. The Nova 7X, available in Brazil for 1,200 Brazilian reais on Amazon.
    2. The Arctis 9X, priced at 1,200 Brazilian reais, available on Octoshop.
    3. The Astro A40 with MixAmp Pro, available for 1,200 Brazilian reais on Kabum.
    4. The Astro A40 with MixAmp M80, priced at 800 Brazilian reais.
    5. The Astro A50, available for 1,700 Brazilian reais on Kabum.
    6. The HyperX Cloud Orbit S Gaming Headset, priced at 1,300 Brazilian reais on Kabum.
    7. Nova Pro with a wired connection, priced at 1,700 Brazilian reais on Kabum.
    8. HyperX Cloud II Gaming Headset for 700 Brazilian reais.
    I should mention that the Nova Pro Wireless is out of consideration due to its high price. However, the wired version (1,700 Brazilian reais on Kabum) could be a viable option. It's also worth mentioning the G Pro 2 headset, priced at 1,200 Brazilian reais on Kabum.
    During the decision-making process, I switched from a Redragon Zeus to a G733 and have had a good experience with the wireless headset. However, I'm not sure if this criterion alone would be sufficient to eliminate a headphone from potential choices.
    I'm willing to pay for what offers me the most, but I'd like to make a choice that gives me value for my money. As I analyze, I'm torn between the A50 or Cloud 2 (the best wireless options for gaming), the 9X or the Nova 7X (the best wireless options for general use, like music and mobile use), and the HyperX Cloud Orbit S Gaming Headset or the Nova Pro (the best wired options).
    I've seen some reviews that highlight the advantages of each. Some videos mention that the MixAmp Pro is worth it, while others claim it doesn't make a difference and is just a luxury. SteelSeries has the advantage of Bluetooth and P3 connection, as well as equalizers and software on both models. However, what's holding me back from making a choice is the RMA service, as the criteria mentioned are very personal and can vary depending on how the headset is used.
    The Astro series is praised for its excellent RMA service, especially in Brazil. On the other hand, SteelSeries is a lesser-known company in Brazil, with few Brazilian reviews available. You were the only one I found. Could you clarify if SteelSeries' RMA really works here? How would it be possible to contact them? Based on your experience and analysis of the mentioned advantages, do you have any advice on the best option? For a wireless option for general use, would it be better to choose the 9X, Nova 7X, or one of the other options I mentioned? For gaming, the best wireless option would be the Astro A50, Cloud 2, or another option? For wired, would it be better to choose the Orbit S, Nova Pro, or another option? Note: I plan to start using the headset for music in the future, but the microphone is not a concern as I have a dedicated Zealsound microphone.
    Lastly, I would like to reiterate that I greatly admire your work and am eagerly awaiting your response. Thank you!

      @@marrowxbgmi2993 The Cloud Core is different than the Cloud Stinger Core.
      The Cloud Core is basically a Cloud II with a smaller headband and less accessories. The Cloud Stinger Core is a super budget device with generally bad drivers and is not very comfortable.
      So get the Cloud Core if you can.

      @@gameplaynocommentry6169 Corsair HS80 is available wired. If you're playing on PC, you can boost the volume in Corsair's iCUE app.
      SteelSeries Arctis Nova 1 is okay, but it's very quiet.

    I what the Penrose but that mic is terrible for 300

      Yeah, probably best to get a standalone mic for good quality, headset mics aren't very good. Only the HS80 is semi-passable.

      Probably won't make a dedicated video on that since they have the same drivers and build. Pretty much the same headset, but the Orbit S is wired only and has some head tracking effects.
