    I am so amazed by how far you've come so quickly! I've started following you from the infamous laid-off video and I so vividly remember those first budget videos where you had such enormous sums of money spent on the credit cards and your breakdowns over it. And now look at you! Buying your dream LV bag with cash! Paying all the bills on time! The car is almost paid off! EF is almost fully saved! Just wow. I'm so proud of you and so inspired :) Keep going, can't wait to see where this journey will bring you.

    You might want to look into using both a sinking fund and a budget for Maggie. Animals, dogs, and dependents definitely have a lot of things that pop up randomly.
    My favorite purchase of July 2023 was a book sleeve pre-order from Book Beau. I won't get it for a while, but I'm so excited for the print they came out with!

    • @molliemahaffey7469
      @molliemahaffey7469 11 месяцев назад +1

      Yes! That was going to be my suggestion for self care as well. If it’s inconsistent then when you don’t spend the cash in the cash envelope, add that to the sinking fun so it’s there when you need it.

    nothing crazy purchased this month, was trying to do a low buy. Did buy an unlimited yoga pass for 110$ a month- went about 8-10 times. Probably wont be continuing but nice to get back in the habit! other than that spent 100$ on applying to a graduate certificate... JUST TO APPLY!! agh. Spent 80$ on therapy after insurance coverage and 80$ on skincare and hair care restocks. I guess the theme is self care!

    I haven't watched your channel for a while but what a progress, in regards to moving in with your bf! Next step is tying the knot 🤪
    I'm currently in the process of purchasing my thru-hike 'hobby' I'm hoping it won't cost more than 1.5k (makes me feel better spending that much, it's actually cheap some people spend more). Doing it slowly so it's not so painful, it's winter here so no plans to go anywhere until spring.

    My favourite thing I bought this month was a Dyson hairdryer! My hair dryer pretty much died and I thought about it, I could either spend £30/40 on a new pretty standard one or I could pay £30/40 a month paying one off instead over a year. In my head, I know I shouldn't have done monthly payments over the year if I didn't have the money right there and then, but I know my financial goals and I know I can afford that extra expense monthly rather than £400 all in one go. And also, it's worth the hype!

    Personal Care Tip to help save money: Get a menstrual cup! It lasts for 5-10 years, made of medical grade silicone, and it is a 30-60 dollar purchase that lasts for years! I have used one for 5+ years and have saved so much money from not buying pads and tampons! They also often have a cleaning soap that you can get for like 10 bucks and it lasts for a few months!
