Hi, I’m Zoe! (Pronounced like Zoey) I’m a 26 year old from Montreal making videos about my REAL life. After quitting my management consulting "dream job", then being laid off from a startup job, I decided to take a chance and work for myself. I'm now mainly focused on RUclips (my absolute passion) and side-hustle contracts in the copywriting and admin fields.
My videos centre around work, gentle productivity, mental health & personal wellness, with a touch of fashion, tech, and whatever else I'm living. My goal is to be open & honest ALWAYS and for my channel to be a fun, inspiring place where we can set goals and live our best lives together. I would love for you to subscribe 💝

You make me realize the importance of money management. I never wanted to seem like the “cheap” person but it’s very important to figure out how and where your money is going. I’m excited to update my spreadsheet I made.
Regarding the "you deserve it" mentality. I have it re-written in my finance journal as "you deserve to be financially free and have peace of mind (more)" ☺️ This helps shift from the deprivation mindset to a more motivational mindset for me. Thanks for your transparency in your videos! I love the editing as well. Oh, and you might really enjoy the chanel The Budget Mom for all her cash envelope videos and resources. ~Cheers
Zoe I’m so happy for you!! I’m so glad this method is working out for you. I prefer the longer, all-in-one videos ☺️ one thing that I do each month when setting my budget is doing a look ahead: are there any events, birthdays, travel, etc. coming up in the month? I find that this helps me to be realistic with each of my budget categories, like if I’m traveling I’ll need more coffee/eating out and less grocery money!
Usually, when people talk a lot in their videos, I get uninterested. But, this feels like girl time! I love the chat section. Feels more personable. Very genuine & real. I found you because of your first cash stuffing video. You have a new sub : ) I am on that journey too! mine should be coming in the next few weeks,
I love the idea of having separate budgets that you can easily keep track of, but as someone who lives in a country where majority of places don’t event accept cash anymore, I’d be the most hated person in Norway if I tried that method 😂 Cash is such an inconvenience 🙈
Loved the video though, so happy for you!
I’m so glad that I discovered your channel. You have so much great information in your videos about finance!!!
thank you so so much!! 💕💸
Thank you so much for doing these videos Zoe! I still struggle with even thinking about my budget but these videos are super motivational and really normalize talking about money.
I'm glad they are helpful!! It's slow and steady to overcome, trust me it took forever to even set up a "budget" 🙈
Whether you do something like cash envelopes or more digital like using YNAB, I think it is so important to work towards getting a month ahead and using the money you earn in October to pay bills and other spending in November versus using what you earn in October to pay for October bills. Another perk to this is that you are always only budgeting money you have and not budgeting money you project you will get. It causes so much less anxiety and is essentially an extra month buffer for your emergency fund.
I would say you could definitely split this into two videos. I love going in depth with the spending and the plan for next month. Another thing to watch out for is once those hello fresh credits run out. Those boxes get very expensive for what they are and got me in quite a money whole a few months back... but also understand if your pushing for a sponsorship because I know they do that a lot on youtube and honestly if they do I say go for it!
haha I would love a sponsorship but I really do love the meal kits 🙈 My credits have run out but I'm planning to do one week on one week off from now on. It's a nice treat!
I was just looking for a money video today from you wishing you had a new one and here you are 😂❤️
hehehe hellooo right on time 😇
The envelope system is a game changer, I did budget before starting the system and I was shocked how much difference it makes holding the cash in your hands and deciding where it should go....well done Zoe 💜💜💜
yesss such a big difference!! Thank you!!
I’m new to your channel and loving it because it’s not the normal cash stuffing videos ❤️ I prefer the dynamic you have your videos structured where you talk about it and also show your cash stuffing. It just is way more interesting and personal to me. I get bored just watching people’s hands during the whole video haha.
haha this made me laugh 😂😂 so glad you love it!! ❤️❤️❤️
Hey Zoe! I would recommend setting up a sinking fund for Maggie to save some money for her (instead of the monthly envelope) where you add 50 $ (Or More) per month so you are able to pay the sitter, the Food and maybe the vet, since you will have months with no expences but also with huge bills. ;)
this is an amazing idea 😍 thank you!!
I told you in past comments because I KNEW that the cash envelope system was going to work so good for you the same way it did for me. Been doing it for 8 months and it is truly magical. I’m so happy for you 💖💖
I'm so excited for you Zoe! I think we can all agree, we love seeing you win. I'm inspired to try this!
Way to go Zoe. 👏🏽 I tried the cash envelopes method and it is a game changer! Love the all in one videos. They are well-rounded and give a complete (and satisfying) financial overview. I think separating them may feel repetitive.
Love your nails! That cash stuffing portion was super satisfying as usual
great feedback!! i think I will keep them together 🙈 I love editing the cash part hehe and the asmr of counting it 😂 ❤️❤️
Yay! Was waiting for this video all month! I’m so glad that this method is working for you! I hope it brings you so much peace 😊 I vote for the separated videos
Hope your eye gets better soon! Thanks for being so real when you share your finances. Wish I had seen videos like this when I was younger!
Zoe you have inspired me to cash envelope myself! Just having the cash in my hands really gives it more gravitas. Congrats on such a great month!
Hi Jody, that's wonderful!! Hope it helps you 😍
I’m so happy you’ve found a money situation you’re liking! I personally love longer videos but longer subject based one’s might be good as well, to dive deeper into the topic!
Way to go Zoe!!! Your energy in this video is so great to see, thrilled that the cash envelopes method has been working out so well for you :) Would love to see you split up the videos next month but tbh I'd be happy to watch either way. Keep up the fantastic work!
Hi Zoe! Great video! I’m glad the cash budgeting system is working for you; I started using it at the beginning of 2022 and it’s changed my life! I enjoyed the format of this video because we get a sense of the whole monthly money update from last month looking into the next. But separating them into two videos might help with the YT algorithms and help your videos reach more people (because of the different types of videos). I’d watch them either way ☺️
Hi, Zoe! Personally, I’d prefer a separate video for the monthly check-in and the actual cash stuffing video. But you do what works best for you. ❤
You're doing amazing Zoe so proud of you! Seeing you so organized really motivates me to be more organized in my finances too! 👏✨️💕
I love long videos- these are the best to have playing during work or on my commute!
What you could also do as well is withdraw the full month's worth of cash, but only stuff your envelopes weekly with a weekly amount! I started doing that because I was way to nervous about carrying all that cash with me - mainly because I lose my wallet all the time.
I was looking forward to this so badly!! Congrats Zoe! 💖
I’m so happy you finally got to try out the cash envelope system!
I started it last year around September and it was a game changer for sure!
Love the long videos for sure 🥰
I hope your eye is doing better now 😊
I prefer all in one videos too! Found you today and love your channel
Yeah man, cash is king lmfao 😂❤ also love the idea of the idea of doing a cash stuffing video. I vote as a part II to the normal monthly money vlog but I love the life vlogging sprinkled into both please 😂
Yay love that this method is working for you!
One of the most inspiring videos I've seen all month so far! So happy for you! I personally am TERRIFIED of relying solely on cash just for security purposes. But budgeting and not using credit is amazing. You are an inspiration!
I found you literally yesterday when I was looking up things to start cash enveloping…super excited to watch this and see how well it’s working for you!!!
I started cash envelope as well I recommend having that big binder at home for bills and a smaller A6 or A7 wallet to carry around variable expenses like grocieres gas etc :) that’s what works for me currently
yesss great idea!!
I'm a fellow montrealer and your budgeting videos have inspired me a lot :)
Amazing!! That makes me so happy 😇
Hi Zoe ! I enjoy your money videos so much ❤
It inspires me to do better financially!
Just noticed your grocery budget is 420 not 400 since you put 360 in your cash envelope and spent 60 on hello fresh 😋
You’ve probably noticed by now but thought you might have wanted to know 💛
yess good spot! i realized after that I was missing $20 in another envelope and had put it in Groceries by accident 🙈 Thanks for the kind comment ❤️
I loved all the detail in this video! I look forward to a part two with the rest of the fixed expenses. You have inspired me to try cash envelopes as well. I just ordered my sets from Etsy. Please keep this series going because it’s so inspiring!
that’s amazing!! 💖💖💖
I was budgeting with you during the video! I love either idea of a long video or two separate ones!
omg yessss that makes me so happy!
Your hands are so elegant. I could see you hand modelling. I've thought this for a while xD
Hi Zoe! I haven’t seen the video yet, but I had eye eczema for 8 years, and I’ve been “cured” for 6 months now using La Roche Posay Lipikar Eczema Med cream and avoiding products with “Panthenol” (it seems to be my allergy! Took me years to find out!)
You’ll need to check yours. For eyes eczema, it can be nails products, any makeup product, etc. but the cream helps a lot with itching and redness.
Please be careful with it, my eyes are now recovering from the darkness and wrinkles it caused.
(I’ll continue the video now, thanks Zoe!)
I screenshotted this, THANK YOU!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Always love your finance videos! You have such a comforting way of talking about money and mindset
im so glad you enjoy ❤️❤️
Zoe I'm so glad you found something that worked for you!! I recently watched a really interesting video on Saving vs. Budgeting by Hello Catwalk City and it may interest you too. Basically, her money philosophy is focusing on the goals 1 month ahead: Pay yourself first (savings/investments), Pay essential bills second, and spend what's leftover freely.
I've been implementing it myself and it's working a lot better than budgeting for me because of the psychological shift, it's all mental but mentality makes a lot of difference!
Everyday is a great day when there is a new video 🥰 so happy to watch your journey and join in feeling like we are doing it together! ❤️
I absolutely enjoyed this video! I enjoy your enthusiasm as you take control of your life and your spending! I hope to do the same. So inspiring ❤
thank you so much ❤️❤️
Ive been watching your money videos for a while now and your energy is soooo different here. Proud of you!!
I like when you go through what you spent and I’m down for super long or split videos because I look out for these every month :)
Ps I use that budget spreadsheet from the line and I love it sm.
OMG jumped on this as soon as I could. i'm so living for these videos. I'm trying to get better with my budget as well. Came a long way from few yrs ago but there's still room for improvement!
Happy to know that cash stuffing method is working well for you. Yay for that! :D I do agree with what you said that it feels good to know that you stick to your budget and it will make you feel proud of yourself.
Hey lady love your channel just found you last night!! I have a Clever Fox planner i just bought !! Also a cash binder.. Will start my budget soon!! Great content!! 😊
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONEEEEE u actually inspired me to take on cash envelopes and im starting this month!!!
Love the monthly money updates !
I think two videos would be better. I love long videos but you might get more from ads if you do two. Also just seeing you sort the money in the envelopes was so satisfying!
Thank you!! 💖
Hi Zoe I love your videos! Another thing that could help you with your financial journey is minimalism. A lot of people have a wrong idea about it but you could look into it and just see if there is something positive for you. Have a wonderful day! Keep up with the great work ❤️
I am watching your videos just because I love your energy😍 love the long videos! keep them coming!
So happy this cash envelope system is working out for you Zoe 👏 Love the video! It can be split up but love that you take us on a full journey ❤
Thank youuuu!! ✨💖
I am a new subscriber, I love your video’s, thank you hug from the Netherlands 🇳🇱

Glad this is working out for you! It's a great feeling when something clicks 💫
Zoe ur channel has been thrivinggg lately love to see it!!! ❤
Congratulations ❤️😊 I am happy to hear that this method works for you 😊
thank you Eva!! ❤️❤️
zoeeeee im so happy for u
Love watching these videos! Makes me wanna get my life together 😂
hey Zoe I hope you’re doing well! I’m excited to watch
hiii! 💖 thank you
I’ve been waiting for this video x so glad it working for you 🎉
Okay this vid inspired me so much to get my $$$ in check. NYC is so expensive it’s hard to no go buck wild here each month hahaha
ill watch anything you post lol, long or short video, vlog or sit down 🤪💕
This was such an effective method. Wow 👏🥰💕
So so happy for you Zoe! 🥳 🙌
I love the 2 angles camera when you're filling the envelopes BTW 📽
thank youu Christina 💖💖 xox
Hi amazing content Im so pleased I found your work :) would you mind telling me what camera you use and what software you use to edit with? thanks so much!
Hi! I use iMovie and the sony ZV1
Love the long videos! ❤️
yay!! ❤️
Hi! How do you keep building your credit score by spending in cash? Can you make a video on that?
hiii! personally im not worried about my credit score 🙈 i still use my credit cards for certain things, i always pay it off on time in full, plus I have my car loan too!
I would love you to make cash envelopes system videos separately! ❤️
Hi Zoe! So happy that it worked out for you! Could I ask where you’ll be taking the money to pay off the cc? You may have said it but I had trouble following that bit!
Hiii! Took it to the bank with me & had the teller put it straight onto my credit card 😇
@@ZoePritchard lol! No i meant from which envelope? Like how did you plan ( if at all) how much money would be on there? And how did you pay it off? With other money set aside?
@@Stephanie-ki5oz from the cash category it fits into.. if she spent 50$ on credit on a flight she'd pull 50$ cash from the travel envelope and move it to the credit envelope for example. The idea is only to spend credit on things you already have a cash category for
@@droid2D2C3P0 right, but for her dog she spent more than the allowance she had in that category no?
@@droid2D2C3P0 like at the end there were a few purchases that exceeded or didn’t fit into the amount she had set aside, or did I miss soemthing?
Maybe you can put aside a little bit every month for the car insurance so that its easier when it’s due
I love your videos so much ❤️
The long videos are great
Great video ❤
I probably have missed it - could you explain again how it works if you have to pay something with credit (e.g. online purchases)? I dont really get it :D Thanks!!
Yes! So if I pay something on credit (ex: the HelloFresh, $10) I right away take it from that cash envelope (so Groceries -$10) and put it in the new "Spent on Credit" envelope. At the end of the month I deposit that money to the bank (I took it to the teller and she put it right on my credit card). Let me know if you have other questions 😇
@@ZoePritchard aaah I see - that's probably why I didn't get it, because where I come from/with my specific bank account you can't really deposit cash to your bank account (for some stupid reason I will never understand). If I were to try this method, I would probably have to have at least a certain amount of money in my bank account to spend on credit. Not ideal :D
@@Isabella-de7kv wait what haha what would you do if you had copious amounts of cash then?? My roommate is a bartender and can bring home a couple thousand dollars in tips every other month, would you just have to stuff that all under your mattress? Lol
@@droid2D2C3P0 basically yes 😄 it used to be possible in the past, but not anymore. When I was bartending, I would have loads of cash as well. Stupid, I know.
@@Isabella-de7kv that sounds ridiculous 😂 how have your citizens not protested this yet lol especially when it used to be possible! It's such a base level banking function haha
Check your grocery! You said $60 for Hello fresh but that would leave $340 left not $360?
yeess I put $20 extra by accident, I was missing it from another envelope and realized after filming 🙈
You need a cash tray to sort your money and make it easier to stuff your envelopes.
had such a rough work day, coming home to get cozy and watch this video legit made my whole day🥹🥹🥹
fYi, it’s illegal to not accept cash in Canada, it’s legal tender payment, so, either they take your cash or give it to you for free. ;)
whaaaat omg! that’s sick haha i gotta try 👀
I prefer all-in-one videos :)
@Zoe - Keep it in 1 Video and let's see the whole adventure at once.
You could actually pay for Amazon in cash if you purchased an Amazon gift card in a store before doing your Amazon purchase. At least that is the case in Germany. :)
A separate video for cash stuffing could really benefit your channel and attract new viewers. Also, I'm manifesting a hello fresh sponsorship for you in my mind 👀
Are those mugs hard to hold and drink from? I feel like physics doesn’t make it possible for the answer to be yes 🙊🙊
Physics??
All in one vid.
All in one
✨
But how do you pay your bills??
I don't use cash for my bills :) It's always the same recurring numbers so I don't always mention them monthly, but in other videos I go over my monthly bills like rent, car insurance, etc.
Hi!! All in one video please ☺️☺️☺️
✨✨
👏👏👏👏🎉🎉🎉
I personally love hour-long videos, but if you feel like you'd be able to go into more depth in two separate videos rather than one, that wouldn't bother me!
How you spending 40 bucks a month on coffee ☠️
that's $10 CAD per week... in Montreal thats nothing LOL
Loved the long money video!!! So happy to see you so excited with what is working for you!! 🤍
