Your videos may be on the lengthier side, but I imagine that they are valuable for viewers who don't yet have anyone in their lives that they can comfortably discuss money with. Also congrats on the boost in subscribers and impressive payout!
I just want to say KUDOS TO YOU for something in particular. When you were talking about how you stopped sharing your income information as much since becoming self-employed because some months were really low and it was shameful/embarassing. I think SOOO many people have that exact same feeling but just aren't able to be honest with themselves and others about it. And it was just really nice hearing that from a fellow self-employed woman. Thank you for being so real and open and transparent! Keep up the great work!
aw thank you!! i find saying it outloud help’s myself realize how not a big deal it is… and if a friend were saying “i earned less 3 months in a row” you’d still cheer them on and believe in them 💖
I just wanted to say you totally inspired me and my fiancé to get our shit together financially. We’ve implemented the cash envelopes and it’s helped so much! Thank you for the inspiration ❤
I love your rambling, talking and being detail because it feels authentic and real like there is no dead air lol. I like how you get straight to the point Zoe! I always feel like I'm not alone when I watch your videos I could even get my sh*t together with your voice in the background cause your voice is inspiring and soothing. 🙏🏼❤️
Amazing month Zoe!! Your growth over the past year has been amazing to watch! Amazing that you have over 3000 leftover after all your spendings! Don’t forget about taxes though, you definitely don’t want to get ‘comfortable’ thinking all that will go to savings, so account for that! Can’t wait for the goals video!!!
What I like about your videos is their length! I love that I can play it in a background when I also do my budgeting or if I’m doing something work related. It’s like a podcast but in a video format which I like. ❤
So HAPPY for you sweet Zoe! Hard work always pays off! Congratulations on 41k subbies and on your videos performing amazingly 👏💚 I still remember when I found your channel, I had just quit my job and was looking for "unemployment" vlogs to watch to feel less alone and one of your vlogs popped up, I remember you were in Florida I think! Fast forward you're crushing it being self employed and you inspired/motivated me to be a freelancer too. Thank you for being you Zoe ❤️
You do have it together. You way ahead Zoe. I've been watching you for over 2 years and you have grown so much.. There is nothing in stone that states you must have a vision board you must have goals. I think it's over rated and puts to much pressure on people. Planning goals and vision are awesome tools but the pressure of a timeline is nuts. Go with the flow and make the Planning goals and vision board something you enjoy putting together not a job.
Thank you for your videos, I finally had the courage to quit the job I am unhappy in without having huge anxiety about it :) Looking forward to seeing your progress in 2023😊
Quebec is really the only province where bank hours are so limited. I've lived in 4 provinces including Quebec and outside of Quebec it's very easy to find a bank open until 8pm a couple nights a week and Saturdays as well!
omg zoe congratulations. It must feel so empowering to know that you've gotten to a place where you are earning almost as much as your corporate job, a year after losing your job!!! you must be so proud. SIDE NOTE : i miss the complete itemized list of cc purchases lol i found it showcased how small things can add up!!
I find it so funny when people comment on how much or little someone budgets in a certain category. We’re all so different and have different priorities! For example I don’t spend much at all on eating out or groceries (I’m vegan and exclusively shop at No Frills) but my “treat yourself” budget is off the charts 😂
You should use this high income month to get a month ahead and move to a zero based budget where you are only budget the money you have (like with your cash envelopes) and then going forward you use the money you make in January for February etc and that way you can adjust your monthly spending if you have a low income month, etc.
One thing I’ve learned on budgeting, I’m in the finance field, is that every budget is different. My budget 3 years ago is formatted and works wayyy different than I do it now.
Congrats on that wonderful YT income--- you earned it! It takes a lot of courage (and work) to record and edit your life and share it on YT. Wishing you continued blessings and success!
Go Zoe! So happy to hear you had such a great earnings month! I only discovered you last month (through these budgeting videos) and I looove your realness, both on finance and life in general ❤ have you considered making RUclips shorts? I think these would get really popular, refreshing from all those aspirational bs…
I love your videos and love supporting you Zoe. Seeing you doing well makes me so happy as I know how stressful uncertainty can be. I wish you even more success. 🥰
Congrats zooooo you deserve this and more, I'm so happy for u, we know how hard you work for everything and is a surreal feeling to see you success like this 🥰🥰🥰
I love your lengthy and rambling videos! We are your people so we get it 😊 Also, I would love to know how you got into copywriting & got your contract work?
I think it is unfair for you to be afraid of mentioning good things that come your way (like high income months) for fear of others comparing to it. It is not on you if other people decide to compare themselves to you. The act of existing is enough to solicit comparison, not to mention having something good happen. Congrats on your high income month! I hope more come your way :)
I totally feel the same way about bank hours... if they opened a night one it would be so popular!! I switched dentists to one that was open on the weekends lol Now I'm just looking for medical doctors to follow suit!!
Great video and thank you for the transparency. Just curious if you have that much left over, why don't you pay your credit card off in full? Interest rates are so high right now. No judgement just wondering why you'd leave a balance if you have the margin to pay it off?
Hi Zoe! I love the loooooooooooooooonger videos ✨❤️ Did you find the 20$ that you missing out at the end of the video? Hehe 🤭 My math is awful, I always say "I'm a designer don't bother me with numbers" and that's my excuse to not be able to do any kind of "counting" 😎
Out of curiosity which AM EX card did you get? I have the AM EX SimplyCash Preferred and the Am EX Marriott BonVoy cards but I hear the AM EX Cobalt card is the best AM EX card for Canadians (even better than the Gold Rewards card) so I want to get that one next. They'll be my Trifecta portfolio of cards :) Love your videos even though I'm an old guy LOL Cheers from Alberta
I had another question....if you have a car, why do you use public transportation? You should get rid of one in my opinion. You are wasting money. It doesn't seem like it at the moment, but start adding up what you spend on public transportation.....it will surprise you.
It's finally here!! Hope you enjoy ☕What are you looking forward to in 2023?? Let me know in the comments, can't wait to read your answers! 💖
on a no-buy month but INTRIGUED by this nail kit if you care to link - is it like at home gels? I agree - doing nails at home is such a game changer
I'm glad you noted that your channel is long form not intended to be fast-paced, haha. That's what we like about your channel 👏
yesss 💖💖
Exactly!
I gasped at your RUclips income! Congratulations so well deserved! You should be so proud of yourself Zoe
me too I gasped seeing it like that 😂😂 thank you so much for your support 💖

I find you very brave for being honest. I think you are setting a good example to younger females in regards to budgeting.
Keep up the awesome work 👏
Thank you for your videos, I finally had the courage to quit the job I am unhappy in without having huge anxiety about it :)
Looking forward to seeing your progress in 2023😊
fantastic 😍😍 so happy for you! on to better things, wish you all the best!!
I like how you budget but that it doesn’t feel restricting. I just started the cash envelope system this year ☺️
fantastic 😍😍😍 i never believed people when they said budgeting could be fun and not restrictive but there you go!
I think i need to try the cash envelopes... you end up spending more with card because you lose track of the budget. Great idea on budgeting!
yesss give it a try 😍
Money is so emotional, thank you for being so vulnerable with us Zoe ✨it really inspires me!
that makes me so happy ❤️ thank you!
I’m starting my cash envelopes today! You are my biggest budget inspiration and your videos have helped me so much❤️❤️
So exciting!! I hope it goes amazingly! 💸

Same here - the little purchases are the ones I don't think twice about but then when I actually add them up, it's like wait what haha
Zoe! I love your videos, I always feel like we connect during your videos and when we chat! Congrats on 40k that is a huge milestone. 🎉

Congratulations Zoe, you deserve the extra money!

i love your channel!!! people these days have such short attnention spans. we need to remember to LISTEN and not just expect instant answers!
thank youuu 💖💖💖

Hello!!
You are right!! I think it’s because I compare myself so much that I am super sensitive to it 🙈
I’m so glad you mentioned that people can always go to tik tok for short content lol SO TRUE! Like we’re here for the long content. Keep it coming!
yesssss me too I love long form, anything under 20 minutes I don’t know what to do with it 😂
@@ZoePritchard hahaha omg yes! 100%!
I totally feel the same way about bank hours... if they opened a night one it would be so popular!! I switched dentists to one that was open on the weekends lol Now I'm just looking for medical doctors to follow suit!!
This is so... refreshing and realistic. Another Canadian, and from Ottawa too.. let's go. 😜
hiiiii!!
Great video and thank you for the transparency. Just curious if you have that much left over, why don't you pay your credit card off in full? Interest rates are so high right now. No judgement just wondering why you'd leave a balance if you have the margin to pay it off?
Hi Zoe!
I love the loooooooooooooooonger videos ✨❤️
Did you find the 20$ that you missing out at the end of the video? Hehe 🤭
My math is awful, I always say "I'm a designer don't bother me with numbers" and that's my excuse to not be able to do any kind of "counting" 😎
I dont have a calendar for new year still 😀
Love this video!!! ❤
thank youu ❤️
YES,,, goal video next 😊

Hi!! Could you tell us more about your copywriting job and tips for anyone looking for something similar? :)
Canadian money is so pretty. I am from the USA. ❤
When we were in Montreal that’s what I hesrd
Maybe time stamps for the impatient people?
For Maggie you could save up for a Maggie emergency fund that would cover vet visits etc.
I deff need to do this 🙈
What is your nail kit that you bought at Amazon? 😁
Love the rambles!!!! 😂
WE ARE CHATTING!!!! Omg so rudeeeee, we love long form content here!
hahahaha right?! 💖
Girllll that is my biggest complaint about banks!! Whyyy do they only open from 9-5? It makes zero sense🙄
right?! like when are we supposed to go then?
good job dave
Isn’t it kind of backwards to be going back to cash and excel?
Out of curiosity which AM EX card did you get? I have the AM EX SimplyCash Preferred and the Am EX Marriott BonVoy cards but I hear the AM EX Cobalt card is the best AM EX card for Canadians (even better than the Gold Rewards card) so I want to get that one next. hahaha thank you!! I have the Cobalt :)
Where is your crew neck from? I love that colour!!
thank you!! it’s Aritiza from a while ago 🙈 they probably still have though
pls share where your black ring is from
its my moms from a long time ago 🙈
What's your dark triads personality level for nueroticism?
Hi zoe
Happy for you, but you should add a tax assumption - you probably have accrued a $2,500ish tax liability on that self-employment income
Random - but how tall are you?
It very expensive in the US up there is worse
I had another question....if you have a car, why do you use public transportation? You should get rid of one in my opinion. You are wasting money. It doesn't seem like it at the moment, but start adding up what you spend on public transportation.....it will surprise you.
