Did you have a favorite home hack? Leave me a comment and let me know. I'm always looking for new hacks, if you have one I'd love to know!
I love using dryer sheets for polishing my faucets (they also prevent spotting), as well as for dusting baseboards and polishing stainless steel appliances. Thanks for the tips! 😊
Have an old baking soda in your fridge before tossing it in the trash dump some in your sink with a few drops of your favorite essential oil, then rinse out your sink, and now, it smells up your kitchen and cleans your sink.
Instead of throwing out the baking soda after it's done it's job in the fridge, I use it around the fire ant hills (I live in North Louisiana), poke some holes into the mount, pour more baking soda on it and the pour white vinegar on it. This "Vulcano" will kill a lot of those miserable critters.
Mix baking soda and water into a paste and clean the bugs off the grill of your car. Use a soft cloth or sponge so you won’t etch the paint. I’ve used this method all my life. We had lovebugs in FL but now I’m in TN and lighting bugs and bees are just as bad.
@@jodilea144 Love it! I never knew dryer sheets would work too! Thanks for the tip!
Another great video, Lisa. My hack for dryer sheets is to pin one to my shirt when I do yard work. Since I'm allergic to bees, it keeps them away from me. Thank you so much and take care, my sweet friend!!!
Thank you! What a cool tip! I’ve never heard of a dryer sheet keeping bees away, that’s so clever. Thanks for sharing my friend!💕
😮
Any particular scent?
@@bubblebuffy No. Just whatever dollar store has.
I like creeky doors. It lets me know if someone is coming in in.
Instead of using a rubber band on door latches, you can hang a towel over the top of the door and the door won`t completly shut. small children may pry the rubberband down so the latch won`t stay in.
Great idea! Thanks for the tip. Have a wonderful weekend!💕
The olive oil container is pretty, but oluv oil should really be kept in a dark bottle.
Thank you for the tip!
Two straight pins will untie a chain....place the chain on a flat surface
....then use one pin on each side of the knot...it will untie fast!
Awesome tip! Thank you!💕
I worked at Claire's, and this way of getting out the knots was sometimes magic. I had a couple of people stop by to get the knots out of their jewelry. I don't know why, but I like the challenge, especially when the person was unable to untangle it.
Thank you for your video. I am new to your channel.
@@allisonw6762 Welcome! I’m so happy you’re here. Thanks for sharing you “untangling” expertise!💕
Used dryer sheets can be recycled -- stuff into toilet roll tube along with dryer lint and use as fireplace starter.
Nice! I love that idea. Thank you for sharing!💕
I love your channel! I have a tip for keeping yogurt, sour cream and cottage cheese fresher for a longer period of time. Turn containers upside down. Use a large zip lock bag or a container to catch any spills. This tip has saved me a lot of coins!
What?! That’s awesome! I’m heading to the fridge now to turn over those containers. Thanks for the tip!💕
@@LisaBurningham Yes, I have been using that idea ever since I read it on the back of a brand of cottage cheese.
I do that too I learned that on a nutritional info video. Thank you for telling us about that.
Hi, Lisa, it's Betty..... so many great ideas and I love your neatly organized pantry! I've never heard of the baby oil trick for untangling necklace chains....how clever! I shop in the sporting goods department at Wal-Mart for the larger size plastic containers made to hold fishing lures. I use them to store my beads and jewelry making supplies in. They're usually less expensive than similar containers in the craft stores and you can use the dividers to make different sized compartments. Hope you have a wonderful weekend, my sweet friend!
Hi darling friend! What a great idea to use those containers for your beads! I love it. That is a great tip for those who need a lot of storage for those items. I hope you’re still healing well and having a wonderful New Year!💕
The tackle boxes can also be used to store sewing items.
Use the pretty glass container for mouthwash it will be very pretty sitting on your counter
Great idea! Thanks for the tip!
Seeing the rubber band ideas reminds me of my favorite! Keep your rubber bands in the refrigerator! I have rubber bands from my dad’s home. I inherited them when he died over 7 years ago! They had been in his fridge for I don’t know how long! They are still very good. The ones I store in the drawer, go bad in a short time
Wow!! I had no idea keeping rubber bands in the refrigerator would preserve them! What a great tip. Thank you!💕
I was fascinated by your white blouse. That is EXACTLY the same as a blouse from the 1950’s. Unbelievable!
Awesome! I love that blouse. I’m happy you liked it too!💕
It IS nice, isn't it?
Your pantry and fridge organizing/cleaning are the best I’ve seen. Love the cool whip container connection!
Thank you! I’m happy you liked the organization. You’re so kind!💕
Love the vent trick. We have 5 dogs and 2 cats and I am always looking for things to do that I am comfortable using and you hit the top. Thank you for sharing 😅
Thank you! I’m so happy you found some ideas. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!💕
me too! I haven't had much luck with air freshener brands though. I guess it's back to air wick or glade
I love how practical and real you are!!❤❤
Thank you! I appreciate your kind words!💕
Tip on the eggs: cut out the 'Use By" date and store with eggs and you can keep an eye on the expiration date !!!
Ooh, I love that idea! Thanks for the tip!💕
Lint rollers for love bugs. Who knew! Lol thanks for all the tips! I hope I can find that pretty jar at my DT. It would also look nice in the bathroom with some mouth wash in it!
Thank you! I’m so happy you liked the tips. I appreciate your kindness. I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend!💕
You had me at the twist and wiggle to untie bag nots!👍😊
Haha!😂 That’s the best comment I’ve seen all day!
Lisa, I take the tp rolls and the circuit rolls, cut the tp in half and the circuit in 4s. Then I use them to store the vinyl. You'll get more pieces and it works the same as your hack!
Love it! I’ve got plenty of Cricut rolls that need to be stored. I appreciate the tip!💕
@@LisaBurningham Glad I can contribute 💗
My fave hack is to keep a sticky-tape dispenser in the kitchen to close any all open packets or bags of food and keeps everything fresh without pegs or expensive clips that get scattered everywhere
Love that idea! So smart. Thank you for sharing!💕
@@LisaBurningham its a real money saver
I also use tape to reseal bags.
I use that lid/ plate holder(the 2nd one) in my closet for clutch purses! Works great!
Oh, I love that idea! Thank you for the tip!💕
I got so tired of keeping old plastic grocery bags and just buy the small trash bag roll take up much less room looks tider - dollar tree xarries and my grocery store has a recycle receptacle for used bags.
That is smart! I love that idea. I’ll have to check out my Dollar Tree and see if they have some too. Thanks for the tip! Have a wonderful weekend!💕
I don't really do makeup, but that hair tie hack to hold the brushes is kinda awesome. Might use that for other things! That little toolbox organizer for the earrings is awesome too! What a good idea! I didn't know about the wax paper hack for faucets either! What a good tip! I didn't know about the oats being good to deodorize either! Definitely some really good ideas in this video! Thanks for sharing. :)
Thank you! I’m so happy you liked the tips. I really appreciate your positivity. I hope you’re having a wonderful week!💕
Great channel. Thank you for sharing. However, I did try that idea for holding the aluminum foil/saran wrap etc., and as nice as it looks, it doesn't work very well because the items fall out the moment you close or open the cabinet door.
Thank you! I’m sure after a while it might be troublesome. Thanks for the tip. Have a wonderful weekend!💕
Try bending the wire up before hang it on the inside of the door, then they don't slide out !
I just found you today and really enjoyed the hacks. I did subscribe because I don't want to loose contact with you. You're very inspiring and seeing you neat tidy home helps me to keep moving forward on my storage. Rhonda from Georgia
Welcome Rhonda! I’m so happy you’re here. I’m delighted you enjoyed the hacks. I appreciate your kind words. Good luck with the storage!💕
If you don't have baby oil, you can use cooking spray (like Pam) to door hinges too to lubricate them.
Awesome! Thank you for the tip!💕
If that is done overtime the hinges will get "gummy" making it more sticky and worse after awhile. Sorry, I work in kitchen's and I see the end result many times, oven doors, meat/ cheese slicers and doors
You can use the binder rings from Dollar Tree and feed one through the mess bag you filled with plastic bags. Hang from a command hook you place near the back corner of your pantry across from the shelves.
Oh, I love that idea! Thank you so much for sharing. Have a wonderful weekend!💕
@@LisaBurningham I simply put my extra plastic bags in one-of-its-own. Wallah! Even comes with its own 'handle' for hanging.
I have another use for your dryer sheets, specifically used dryer sheets. I'm in south Georgia, so I have the same issues with lovebugs and, of course, other insects that get stuck to the front of my car. If you take one of your used dryer sheets and wet it, then rub that on the front of your car. The bugs will come right off with hardly any effort at all. Don't waste your money on bug removal Solutions as I have found most of them don't work. It's in my top five of favorite tips I've been given over the years. Try it. I guarantee you'll like it!
That’s awesome! I had no idea a dryer sheet could do that. I’m totally going to give that a try. I appreciate the tip!💕
@@LisaBurningham let me know how it worked for you!
Great advice on all of these tips. Thanks for sharing.

so wonderful, love your vibes
Thank you! I appreciate your kind words. I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend!💕
For your spice basket, you might want to try labeling the tops so you don’t have to pick up each one to find what you are looking for.
That is a great idea! Thanks for the tip!💕

Toilet paper rolls are great for organizing the sock drawer as well! I roll up my ankle socks individually and put them in toilet paper rolls and my drawer looks so much better than it did before.

What great ideas for the mesh bags! I appreciate your tips. Have a wonderful weekend!💕

Thank you so much!
Hi. Just came across this video. Now, since I am old enough to be your very old grandma, a lot of the hacks I had used before not knowing there were hacks but I also learned a lot too.! Just last week, I organised my spice bottles as you did. However, since I hate sitting down to watch tv with nothing for my hands to do, I had sticky back paper, cut them to size and wrote the name of the spice/herb and then put it to the top of the plastic lid so I can find what I need in a split second. Also, when you were showing us using baby oil on your front door, I noticed a gold coloured table in your hall. Did you buy that or did you paint it? Looks really nice. Thank you for your tips and hard work.
Welcome! I’m so happy you’re here. I love your spice bottle label idea! So smart. The table in the hallway did get a makeover. I painted it gold and added new and improved feet to the bottom. I really appreciate your kind words. I hope you’re having a wonderful week!💕

Wow I need to organize all my things. Great inspiration video to kick off the year! Now….I first need to get Christmas taken down. Thankfully it take less time to take it down then it takes to put it all up. 😅 thanks friend. 😊
Thank you! I finally have all of my Christmas decorations down and put away. I forget how much work it is!😂 I hope you have a wonderful weekend my friend!💕

Put in a dollar tree spray bottle vinegar and before you do your grocery or on trash day go through your fridge and just wipe down one section
Because it’s vinegar it won’t harm your other food .
Also don’t waste food take any bottle and turn up upside down ,,,, they also have on Amazon special caps to turn it upside down
Love that idea! That’s so awesome. Thanks for sharing!💕
Great video!!!😊
Thank you so much!💕
Warning: I also had the idea to put oil in those glass bottles. It works great. However, if you keep your oil near your burners the oil in the bottle heats up and the tops pop off and become a projectile. So just be careful. And keep the bottles away from the burners
Glass bottles at 11:06 video timestamp.
Great tip! I appreciate the heads up. Safety first. Have a wonderful week!💕
Great and helpful tips

A few years ago i discovered that the mini soda fridge packs are the perfect size to put in the freezer (once they are empty). I put portioned nuggers and fries and such in them and cam then put my pizza and waffles on top of them.
Of course, they won"t last forever. I replace mine a few times a year.
Great suggestion! Thanks for sharing your tip!
@@LisaBurningham I've been known to use fridge packs all over the house for plastic bags, socks, and other small items. They fit almost anywhere, including under some Dressers with legs, under the bed, or under a Futon.
Brillant ideas love that fridge bin
Thank you! I appreciate your kind words!💕
You could always make your own storage organizer with an old tissue box..paint and decorate your box and it fits on your shelves or on your drawers..a box from disposable gloves works great to
Awesome idea! That would work nicely. Thanks for the tip!💕
Hi Lisa, Another great idea video. I use the $ Tree can holders on my refrig. doors to put condiments in. I never over buy now & it's easy to keep clean & take to the table or bbq. I just take the whole plastic container with the bottles we will be using.
Love it! What a great idea. Thanks for the tip!💕

Huggable hangers are wonderful and come in many colors. I get no shoulder bumps. I’m a large woman and they keep my tops on the hangers perfectly.
Great tip! Thank you so much for the idea!💕
You’re welcome and thank you! I’ve gotten a lot of great ideas from you!
Using a sort of waxed paper, aluminum foil or such dispenser isn't always the way to go. That's fine if u r storing 'standard' sizes but for larger/fuller rolls of something...sometimes the product is very thick &/or longer than such, so I opt for one of my kitchen drawers.
Great idea!
Glue gun satin or felt or velvet or velveteen material in the earring tackle box. Add bling wrap around dudes and gems on top.
Oh, I love that idea! That sounds so pretty. Thanks for the tip!💕
The sole of a shoe is the bottom !!
Thank you so much
Thank you!💕
Awesome tips and tricks I love using the magic erasers tfs
Thank you so much! I agree with you, magic erasers are awesome. Have a wonderful weekend my friend!💕
I put a few dryer sheets in a pan with burned on food and let it soak for at least 30 minutes, the longer the better( I’ll do over night). The food just lifts off with very little effort on my part.
What?! That’s so awesome! I had no idea. Thanks for the tip!💕
I heat up the pan with some water on low heat. Don't walk away stay right at the stove. It does take long. While you wait for it to cool down, scrape the bits up to dispose of any bits that should not go down the drain. It's pretty quick. No need to have your pan soak overnight. Please check your pans on how to clean them. I just learned not to keep water in stainless steel. Thanks for letting me ramble!
Loved rubber band on hanger 🎉🎉
Thank you so much!💕
Very good idea car fresheners.
Thank you so much!💕
Lol, you get a thumbs up for the lint roller on the luv bugs! I am going to try it on anything that moves where I live! We have crazy bug seasons here in Kentucky, Lady bugs, stink bugs, flies, fruit fly's, spiders, wasps, you name it! And yes ants. It is usually one at a time, but a ton of them. I watched my husband vacuum love bugs for a full hour before he finally stopped and said "I think I'm losing"😄😅We used to live in Florida, and one year, you just couldn't keep them from coming in!
Right?! Those love bugs just keep on coming. I definitely feel like it’s a loosing battle. Thanks for your kind words. Have a wonderful weekend!💕
@@LisaBurningham Thank you, you too 💕
Thanks, I appreciate ya.
Thank you!💕
I live in Texas and we get love bugs here in some summers quite badly. I use just a cheap Dollar Tree broom to brush them away. They might fly back up if they do not get crushed but then again there are so much of them that there would be them again.
But the tape roller is very good in picking up glitter etc small craft items especially when kids are crafting.
Great idea to use a broom! Simple and effective. Have a wonderful weekend!💕
@@LisaBurningham I found in this video many tips I personally do and like. It seems that we have similar style. Will be watching more of your videos.

The press and seal plastic wrap hack was great!
Thank you! I’m happy you liked it!💕
I use a tackle/lure divided box for my earrings, etc
That’s a perfect solution for jewelry! Love it!
Nice!! Wish I had a closet I could make into a pantry. Does that wrap dispenser have screw holes in it so it could be hung up? That would make it easier to access and use. Absolutely love your frig!
Yes! It has holes in the back so you can hang it up on the wall.
Be careful with the magic eraser. It will eventually take the white off the shoe and yellow will start coming through
Thank you for the tip!💕
Hey, just this minute I had a brain storm...I have an over the door shelving unit that I was using (only partial full). I decided to put my various size trash bags (that came in a (cheap) box and could even use it for storing the various sized zip-loc type bags. JudyK/Maquoketa, IA
Yes! That would work beautifully! So smart!
Good ideas.
Thank you so much!💕
I also use baking soda for my cooktop instead of that expensive piece that they sell, but I just use baking soda and it takes a full the burn marks and it doesn’t scratch the glass. Great minds think alike.
Awesome! I love baking soda for cleaning. I appreciate your tip! Have a wonderful weekend!💕
