    I use soda crystals with hot water for drains, instead of baking soda and vinegar. Soda crystals are sodium carbonate decahydrate, which is chemically similar to baking soda. However, soda crystals are more alkaline and so are better at removing grease and stains. They are better for breaking down old soap gunk and clearing drains.
    They can also be used for washing clothes and keeping whites bright, at the same time as helping to descale your machine.
    You do have to be more careful when handling soda crystals as its alkalinity can be bad for your skin and it would be harmful if ingested. Nevertheless, it is an eco-friendly cleaning agent.

    Easy way to clean the stove. I remove the knobs, the grates, the burner covers and into the dishwasher they go. Come out spotless. Then I clean the stove top with zep cleaner, used in casinos, fabulous product. Cleans everything in a minute. I use only the zep products. Available in home depot, not expensive. They have glass cleaner, degreaser, carpet cleaner.

    Celia, I’m impressed. Also here in FL we get Lovebugs(certain time of year) smashed into the front of the car when driving. These bugs bodies eat into the paint job. If you get them off as soon as you park, the dryer sheet does the trick(rub) without damage to the paint. Otherwise your car stays messed up forever! ✌️ 😎🇺🇸

      Yeah there's no way to get rid of all the baking soda and vinegar. Anyone that's ever cleaned a receptical with the contents knows that it is extremely difficult to clean the receptical of the gunk. Counter intuitive, right? So thank you for your comment. At least you caution others. Why is this method so highly recommended? I hate that our hoa recommends this. Enzymatic drain cleaner as a preventative and doing sink dumps are the way to go. Fill up sink with water and release the drain. Don't let the garbage disposal unit or drains eat anything you wouldn't. Consider switching to dish soap instead of hand soap. And of course use sink catches.

    Vinegar on stainless steel eventually causes rust spots. Just use soap and water then buff with a dry cloth. They make stainless steel cleaner but once you use it you always have to use it. If you try to clean with water based products, the result will smear.

    Just 1 observation.. lemon loses its vitamin C if kept for many days.. try to use it fresh.. Also hot temperature destroys vitamin C .. so it is better not to add hot water to lemon. .
    Wish you all the best.. God bless you.. ❤

    • @miaschu8175
      @miaschu8175 10 месяцев назад

      Are you sure that hot water destroys vit C? I thought that vit C is soluble in the water, but that's okay because you're going to drink it. Also, vit C remains in squeezed lemon juice and in other things made with lemons, so I don't think that too much can be lost from preserved lemons.
      However, I'm not absolutely sure, so I will look into this.

    I think your tips are really good but I wonder if there is an alternative to the dryer sheets - they are a single use plastic :(

      I wouldn't use the dryer sheets, but I will try the old tea bags, especially the Earl Grey and mint tea ones. I presume that they need to be dried before inserting into the shoes.

      I was thinking the same thing, at the very least, cut them in half instead of folding them to use half the amount.

    Dryer sheets are terrible for the environment and your clothes. Don't use them for anything! Use wool balls in your dryer and your clothes will dry faster and come out soft. Store your tall boots on their sides rather than upright. Steam cook your eggs rather than boil them. No additives needed. The drain unclogging works for SOME clogs, but not all clogs - just be aware. And be sure to run a lot of hot water through afterwards to prevent the baking soda from making a new clog. Vinegar and water is also a great glass cleaner and water spritz when ironing clothes, it flattens those wrinkles right out - better than a spray starch. I know a lot you don't iron your clothes, but for those of you who do, try it.

      De acuerdo con tu comentario. En cuanto al planchado es una práctica que debemos erradicar, el calentamiento global nos está cogiendo ventaja. Obremos ya para evitar el advenimiento acelerado de la sexta extinción.
