I had the 1996 Eagle Talon TSI White gave it to my 16 year old niece in May 2002 for her birthday only had 42, 000 miles sadly she crashed it a few months later 😢 so when I was ready to get rid of my 2002 Firebird 75,000 miles in 2015 I had a much better experience because the buyer was looking for a Firebird & I knew he would love it & care for it as I did 😍

Had a 91 GSX it was a fun car. I ended up racing someone and broke my harmonic balancer in half and took to Dealer and they said he have never seen one of those break before. They replaced it under warranty. after warranty expired it loved to burn about 1 quart of oil every 500 miles. It was fun while it lasted . That was like over 25 years ago lol.
It was completely stock? They definitely didn't have Honda/Toyota quality. Curious if they could've been made to be reliable with a proper engine rebuild.
Craig, I owned a 1990 Mitsubishi Eclipse and I was having check engine light issues and at the time, my mechanic was pulling codes, replacing parts and the light would come back on again. After a bit of online research, it ended up that some of the capacitors inside the ECM had burst and leaked onto the PCB board. I had to send it out to have it repaired and it solved all of my issues. Check the ECM out as the issue. 👍
Once the Talon was painted, it became a nice looking car ready for the scrap pile. At least when you scrap it, the parts people don't have to try to save the bad interior!
I have owned 40 of these and want one last one so I can. Do a final build on it. Most was 650 hp but looking to build 1000hp for final. Love these. But DSM stands for daily service mantaince lol.
I had the mitsu version back in the day. Still my fav car. But NO ONE could make it run. I eventually had to sell it. It just wouldn't run. Spent so much money trying to fix it and no one could
Wouldn't the falling on its face when getting off the gas be caused by the recirculation valve being vented to atmosphere on a mass airflow car? What is the air fuel ratio when that happens (extremely rich)? Change it from a atmosphere vent to piped back behind the mass airflow sensor and see what it does. (It seems like this is still the case since you mentioned it at the end of the video which should be closer to real time.)

They called that shifter the Horse Cock shifter,Lol!! Also, if you go with a 16" tire, But with a 91v sidewall instead of the stock 87v, the 91v will make the tire look/appear lower profile, also it's stiffer, & will handle better, just a suggestion!! Nitto Neogens are good/cool looking examples!!
Yes Town Fair Tire is a joke I use the Russian guy across the highway from the Early Bird Restaurant he is treated me very well over the years I probably got 10 sets of tires from that guy and he has the state of the art alignment machine in New Hampshire when they tell you he is the best he truly is and how about you but I like Yokohama tires it's a soft rubber compound it really grips and I've had excellent luck with those tires

This is nothing compared to some of the DSM's I've saved. The reason it's zip tied is because most coilovers don't have the bracket for you to bolt them back on like the stock style struts do, so it leaves you with little options if you're in a pinch.

I've been vocal about the type of projects that you take on. I should start to be more "constructive" on what I say. I like projects. I get the fact that you want to have cars from you childhood. But I fear that one day you may buy a Volkswagen Thing to restore. That's a guaranteed way to lose all your viewers. How many people do you think want to see you struggle with your Talon? Maybe 10% of your viewers. Your projects should be about cars that 90% of your viewers would like to see done. Go buy a decent Pontiac LeMans and make it a GTO Tribute Car by adding some decals, scoops and bumper, etc. People would think that project would be cool. I'm a car guy born in the early 50s. I watch our videos all the time - even when you wine for 15 minutes non-stop (which is every video since the beginning of last summer) and I didn't care. How's that front line looking? It should only have white, silver and gray cars. Maybe one black one and one red one. Don't put bright colors out there and don't put black ones that have to be washed every day. That front line is your money-maker. Use it well.
